I guess yours or something. I'm at Ticket to Ride with zero psychos done, not sure of your progress.

Steam is Volcynika
GFWL is Volcynikal

Unless I work super late tomorrow I should be around in the evening (I'm in US, CST)
I'm further than you, so we should do your game to prevent spoiling your self. And so I can help because I know that to do :lol

I tried adding you on steam, didn't seem to work. Says it could not find you. Try adding me.

I have added you on GFWL though.

I'm available tomorrow night. I'm in EST time. Just hit me up on steam when you're ready.

edit - Wow, it found 3 tiny corrupt files and redownloaded them. So much easier than getting the whole thing again. :lol

Do this:

Go to your sound settings in Windows, go to the properties for your current speakers with a right click, then advance, and change the Default Format to 24 bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality), then try starting the game.

All Steam is doing is redownloading the files GFWL just unpacked.

Seems mine maxes out at 24 bit, 44000 which is odd, because I know my soundcard actually supports 24 bit, 192khz. I tried changing it but it doesn't seem to load. I'll try some other options.

Papercuts

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
Barely scraped by 2-2 in time, then needed to get Zombrex...beat the shit out out machines in the casino to scrape up just enough($25,200) and I even saved another survivor on the way. Ended up ridiculously close and got her the medicine at 7:50. :lol

And, of course, one of the survivors
gave me Zombrex! So I didn't need to even waste the time farming money. I had a few troopers with me for 2-2, they get ditched for the train ride and I waited for them to run all the way through the tunnels.

Love the classic Dead Rising moments 2 is still delivering.

I ended the game with 4 surplus zombrex because I bought some as well then came upon the stashes along the map as well as from some of the missions.

As much fun as the game is, really not digging some of these Psychopaths so far. Seems like you need to fight them in a cheap way, and they sorta ruin the flow of the game for me. Glad that the few I've encountered are optional, I beat 2 out of 3 but don't think I plan on fighting many more.

The Mercs are also kinda annoying, trying to use some different types of weapons on them but the constant barrage of bullets is forcing me to kill one, then use the their own guns on them. Despite all of this weapon variety they make it a bit difficult to use much on anything but zombies. Seems like spiked bats and machine guns are the safest.

Oh and I found a small theater that has a ton of cool stuff behind the curtain. Flashlight, leafblower and gems to make Lightsabers or the Gem Blower, a wooden sword and shield combo, and a Zombrex hidden on top of a speaker. Too bad I forgot where it was. :lol

Game is a ton of fun though, can't wait for a second playthrough of just ignoring survivors and going craaazy.

I'd be up for it, assuming that my USB wireless-N adapter can handle it.

I prefer the defiler with an overhead attack. There are a few others that work really well.

defiler =
sledge hammer + fire axe

I liked it better before I got the combo card. The secondary attack changes to the one from the battleaxe.

Remember in the first Dead Rising, how awful getting shot was? How annoying it was?

Blue Castle sure didn't.

These mercs can fuck off...

I'm enjoying this game way more than DR 1. It's amazing how a few small tweaks can make a game miles better.

I really hate TIR though. It takes forever to get a game, and it glitches out all the time. Tonight I was playing Zomboni and only one player was sucking up the zombies while the rest of use just ran into them.

I got to the one outside and there were three that would fire one after the other. I got trapped in a flinch animation until I died :I

Just a quick question...

What all transfers over into a second playthrough of the game?
Level? Money? Zombies killed? Combo cards?

Awesome game! Loving every minute of it!

Yes, yes, no, yes.

No items, either. The maintenance key does transfer over, so if you get it once, you have it forever.

Zombrex does not transfer over, so make paying for it your last possible option, because that money is gone.

I spent 2.5 hours last night trying to get my wireless xbox 360 controller with play and charge kit to work under windows 7, the hardware was installed but the device never got recognized under gaming controllers. No wonder Apple is winning so much terrain, i hate that shit. Thank god i didn't buy the pc version yet, gonna go for the 360 one now.

Finding money for zombrex is not a problem though, just play the online terror game and make like 150k in one game.

Also can someone tell me how the hell am I supposed to beat
Chef Antoine

Loving this game, the frustation of not playing the first one is OVER! I'm starting to know my way around the map and it only gets better, lots of fun visiting the maintenance rooms and building awesome weapons.

Though, I'm kinda stuck in the fight against
the two girls working with TK, the ones with katanas in a bar/club. Went there with a lightsaber, nailed bat and the big ass machine gun with 100 ammo but I only do little damage. Even though I kinda have their patern down with my small inventory I always end up dead >_<
Any particular advice to ace this particular fight?

I'll give it another couple of tries and if it fails, I'll just restart the game with my current level. Now that a bit more confortable with the mechanics of the game and the environment, I'll probably breeze through it.

EDIT : Oh and does your attack stat has any influence on the damage done with firearms? It's the only explanation I have for the little damage they do to psychos :lol

The most important thing to know about psychopath fights is that you can leave the area, restock and come back and they don't regain HP. Unless of course they self heal like
the chef.

You only need to beat one of them, so focus your attacks on one and just avoid the other altogether. Use a fast weapon too (think I had the knife gloves) and grab a bottle of vodka from the bar/ground if you're hurting (don't drink too mayn though).

most of the bost fights were food fests. i tried all types of things for a few of them, but usually ended up to a melee trade/drink juice until one of us died.

I've had both below half of their life in my last attempt :lol :lol I've yet to try the wolverine glove, I found out the lightsaber causes a bit of knockback to those two.
Thanks for the help!

For whatever reason I couldn't get the D&D wussies to take anything.
They'll take guns. The big one dressed like a girl keeps falling on his ass when shooting a shotgun.

The combo card will just give you bonus PP.
And also open up the heavy attack.

WEGGLES said:
How are you supposed to find any of those under a time limit? :|
Some regular missions give you zombrex. Then you can buy some at pawnshops. You don't need to get lucky exploring. On the flipside, on second playthrough, knowing where some where hidden in the environment, i had 3 doses before the first zombrex deadline.

Focus on just one, brings lots of juice, use knife-gloves.

Question: I beat Antoine (the chef), but the survivor wouldn't with me because she didn't trust me. I couldn't find her friend, so I continued with the story missions instead. After that I went back, and she's not there anymore. The notebook says she's located, but not dead. Is this a bug? :lol

I'm guessing since you didn't recruit her, her HP didn't drop when you left the area, but the timer still ticked away on the chef quest and you missed it. IIRC if you outright ignore survivor quests on additional plays, they don't show up as deceased in the notebook.

I did the twins first time, get the AMG from the cashier's office before going up the steps and take in a steak or to and the nailed bat for back up. concentrate on one of them, unload the gun into one and finish off with bat if needed, i think i was level 17 at the time. the psycho's i have found pretty easy apart from the chef, the hunters are my next target.

Well, if she pops up her friend is
on the other side the food court on the roof of the restaurants, you have to jump up on the vending machines and then jump up to the roof.

Something similar happened for me after I defeated Ted and
tamed Snowflake
. A survivor, Lenny, wouldn't go with me with my current group, so I decided I'd come back for him after I delivered people to the safehouse. Except when I came back (during 3-2) he was gone.

I don't think they'll return.

Keeping survivors around and not going back to the safehouse constantly saves a lot of time. Almost too much time. I don't know what to do with myself while waiting for messages to pop up.

Got Ending C this afternoon...
kinda depressing. :(

Second runthrough now, gunning for Level 30. New record is six survivors at once (and it was a bitch because two of them needed to be carried. Had to make occasional checkpoints, leave group, go back for straggler, etc, etc.) Found the Brand New U shortcut to the Safe House. Holy shit is that going to save me time in the future.

I rounded up 8 a couple of times. Regarding limpers,
the magazine found in the bingo place north of the chapel on silver strip
makes things easier.

For J-GAF, just in case it has not been mentioned yet.

I bought the Japanese version of DS2 today. It has full English menus and dialog.

when i meet one of those that need to be carried i always take him/her to the safehouse, leaving the other in the maintenance room outside.

Any tips for the
TK chopper/crane
battle? I keep getting hit without doing any damage. :/

You have to wench it in by touching the button on the crane (only when the light is green) and then throwing items into the blades, the bigger the item the more damage (use the barracades+cases). So basically wench the chopper in, throw something into its blades, run over to the side of the building and hide behind all the vents etc until the light turns green and repeat. There are even orange juices back there.

Mistouze said:
the fight against
the two girls working with TK,

the drinking magazine (in the underwater casino place, on the big octopus arm things above everything) is also really handy here due to the huge amount of alcohol available to heal yourself. I did this fight without it, and ended up in a rhythm of fighting them off then puking, Chuck recovering just in time to fight again and the blowing chunks as they ran off once more. Smooth.

Wow. I honestly wouldn't have thought of that. I would have just kept pumping assault rifle rounds into it. :lol

Thanks.
