Game is awesome so far, but I'm disappointed they nerfed the mannequin torsos. I grabbed one and thought I was going to kick some ass DR1 style and then I realized they were useless. On the other hand, there are like hundreds of new weapons.

I left my single player game opened for like 2 hours last night but no one joined...it`s set to public in the options...is there something else that needs to be done for drop in/outs?...I can`t progress any further for now,I ran out of time or I die etc...so I keep reloading that same save...where are the good stuff...there is nothing good on the ground anywhere so far...

Apologies for the shitty pic, I am too lazy right now to get it correctly so deal with a camera shot off TV.

On your way to case 2-1 you go into the Palisades Mall. Right before you reach the maintenance door you're supposed to go in, there's a beach shop next to it (or not far from it). The place sells beach shirts which you can't wear. But if you go to the back left of the store, you'll find a dressing room that you can interact with, and it will say Banana Hammock.

And this is the result. Try not to stare. Personally, I think the pubes were a little much.

Oh man, I had the banana hammock and servbot mask equipped when my friend joined me for some Co-op. That thing kills friendships. :lol

Haha I found out last night that when in co-op whichever Chuck initiates the cutscene is the one in the scene. My friend was getting irritated because he had to stare at that in every cutscene because I had more speed upgrades than him and could initiate them first.

Man I just had a great run. I was on my way to do Case 4-1, it was yellow and starting to count down, then I noticed that there were two other messages which would expire at the same time. I decided to risk everything. I made 2 new Knife Gloves, gathered food, and then got to the first message which was a survivor. Then with her in tow, I ran to tackle Slappy, saving in the bathroom just before that.

By now the timer is red for both Slappy and Case 4-1. It was looking tense. I managed to beat Slappy easily, but the survivor died. I advanced on to the Case 4-1 boss fight, and got my ass handed to me. Load game! This time I managed to tell the survivor to hide somewhere while I fought Slappy, but eventually I died at the boss fight again. After a few tried, eventually I mastered the patterns and beat Case 4-1, with the survivor still alive outside.

As we headed back to the safehouse, I ran into another psychopath, but he was pretty easy and I destroyed him earning myself Zombrex in the process. Finally made it back to the safehouse with the survivor, not needing to worry about Zombrex, still 3 hours to spare before Katie needs her dose, and only 2 optional messages to tackle now.

Feeling GOOD! :D

It's like an art form.

Something else to try is making sure you go up a flight of stairs before your friend, that makes them really cringe. :lol

Any tips for the
TK chopper/crane
battle? I keep getting hit without doing any damage. :/

In addition to what Conceited said: A combo weapon that works well is the
Fire Spitter. (Toy Spitball Gun + Tiki Torch)

I wasn't intending to use it on the chopper at the time but it actually did a bit of damage.

I spent 2.5 hours last night trying to get my wireless xbox 360 controller with play and charge kit to work under windows 7, the hardware was installed but the device never got recognized under gaming controllers. No wonder Apple is winning so much terrain, i hate that shit. Thank god i didn't buy the pc version yet, gonna go for the 360 one now.
I tried doing the same thing a while back and unless I missed something or it has changed, the wireless xbox 360 controllers with plug and play for usb, are not intended to work on PCs. You either need the special Microsoft wireless receiver for the controller or an actual wired controller.

Does anyone know if you miss saving
Lenny after the Ted + Snowflake fight if you can go and save him later on? I just finished the case where you save Rebecca from the sword wielding psycho chicks and forgot that I saw Lenny briefly during the start of the Ted + Snowflake battle.

Not at all. I actually spent a few hours last night just gambling around Fortune City and making a ton of money for my next run through.

I was playing the giant slot machine in Slot Ranch with my friend in co-op and we had the Gambling 2 magazine. Each jackpot we would win 100k each. We kept trading off who was spending the 1k to gamble and the other would smash zombies and make the easiest money ever. We both ended up with about 500k each, time to go buy some car keys.....

It seems like you almost have to in order to afford some of the stuff for sale in the pawn shops.

Thanks for the responses. I am on my 2nd day and was trying to be proactive and get some Zombrex early from a pawn shop. I saw that 20k price tag and almost fainted, lol.

You know, you can just go back to Gamestop and say you got the wrong code and they will give you another.

The USB cord for Play and Charge only charges your controller, it doesn't actually send any data. You need the wireless receiver for the PC to get the wireless 360 controller to work. The Play and Charge cord will charge your controller just fine if you plug it into a PC, though.

Alternatively you can get a wired 360 controller which will instantly be recognized when you plug it into a PC (might need to install specific drivers on Windows XP and earlier).

And yeah... Apple's winning so much terrain in what department?

ToddG15 is correct, the play and charge can only charge your controller, you cannot use it on a PC without a wireless receiver. And it works great (though Dead Rising 2 had some weird issues with it, after you jump through a few hoops it works great).

Probably really late on this, but I thought it was common knowledge that the Wireless controller + Play & Charge kit doesn't work on the PC? The P&C kit only charges the controller. You need the wireless adapter for PC, or a wired controller for it to work. I've had no trouble getting my wired 360 controller working for DR2 PC. - Edit - Beaten. Whoops.

Also, possibly already mentioned but for folks who have Crossfired ATI cards -- don't think ATI has added DR2 to the crossfire profiles yet but if you use RadeonPro and select the Lost Planet DX10 Crossfire Profile you might get a bit of a boost in performance.

I haven't done any hard number crunching but when there were a lot of zombies on screen things kinda slowed down for me, when I was trying out the Lost Planet profile its been pretty butter smooth.

Though, I'm kinda stuck in the fight against
the two girls working with TK, the ones with katanas in a bar/club. Went there with a lightsaber, nailed bat and the big ass machine gun with 100 ammo but I only do little damage. Even though I kinda have their patern down with my small inventory I always end up dead >_<
Any particular advice to ace this particular fight?
There's an LMG on top of the big slot bank in the very center of the casino there (climb the "steps" of the pyramid framing them onto a circular overhang [you will also find another very useful item there]), and a Robot Bear on top of one of the outlying slot pavillions. Make a Freedom Bear and bring it with you. As soon as the fight starts, put it in a place looking down one of the long hallways in that club, with its back to the wall. Then just run around leading them through that hallway. I whittled off about 75% of one's health down this way.

Haha, same. First time I saw mannequins I was like OH SHIT, GAME ON MOTHERFUCKERS. Busted it up and tried the torso, then I was very sad. The little barbells are still quite effective like they were in DR1, though.

The Defiler's jump attack is the god weapon of this game.

Gem Cannon
gems + leafblower
is surprisingly good too, when I got the card for it I kinda shrugged it off, sounded like it would be lame. But I tried it later and wow, it just tears through a line of zombies.

It's not just cosmetic. The zombies barely even notice you when you're in full costume. ;)

FYI (for those that don't know), you can purchase all of the costumes in the next month.

Yeah I noticed that I wasn't attracting much attention, but I have pretty much played the game with the suit on from the start. Good news on the costumes, hopefully they price them reasonably.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?
Quick question that will determine whether or not I pick this up for 360 or PC.

Is the text still unreadable on an SDTV? Seems like the kind of game I'd rather play on the 360, but if its anything like the first and I can't even read the text then I'll go for the PC version which I can do in 720p

Also, any impressions on how well the PC version runs?

God, the psychopath battles are so infuriating. And I don't mean that in a good way. They're just frustrating and not fun.

I don't see why anyone would ever pick 480p over 720p.

Supposedly it unlocks "ninja" moves and makes the zombies notice you less. I haven't tried it yet though.

Like most non-crysis PC games if you've spent around $150-200 upgrading your computer within the last two years it runs great.

Same here. I hadn't saved for an hour or so. I went into the Mayan-themed place for the first time and met
Ted and Snowflake. I figured I was fucked as I had no food items, but then I owned Ted hard. I was like "YEAH TAKE THAT FATTY!" and then Snowflake ate me :(."

There's a bunch of impressions in the last few pages. There are some minor issues, most have workarounds. If you have a wired controller or a wireless receiver to use a 360 gamepad on the pc, definitely go for it. Its also $20 cheaper.

spiked bats, don't let him refuel, carry 3 food items. I beat him last night and I'm only level 13(?).

It wasn't hard at all for me. I just combo'ed him with a melee weapon and then got out of the way when he countered. Then he runs to refill his health with food, leaving him open to more attacks. Repeat over and over. It helps to have a good weapon, but otherwise it's not a hard fight at all.

Machete+Broomstick and have and grab all the orange juices from the pharmacy, while he eats run up and do the double swipe, when he runs far get some plates to get him.

It took me 7 times to find this solution.

Well we had seemed to get his pattern down, but he still always ended up kicking our ass. I had a wood bat with spikes. Another buddy recocommend the wolverine gloves so I'm going to try and grab those on the way over there to him next time. I am only level 11 and my buddy level 9 or 10. I will admit it was getting late and we were getting tired so maybe that had something to do with it. Agree that you need to keep more food items on. Thats something we always lacked.

Also was anyone else surprised how crazy fast the
activist guy was
. I was laughing at my buddy saying..."How hard can this hippy looking dude be?" and then HOLY SHIT... he moved so god damn fast. We were cracking hardcore after that.

Where the fuck is the machete btw, still haven't found that or the leaf blower!!!!

The CURE dude is the hardest psycho fight I've experienced so far. His timing is really tight, he's fast, and he actually does A LOT of damage. It was a pretty grueling battle.

Lots of different ways. Last run, i brought along 5 survivors with guns and used an lmg. He didnt land a single hit on me.

Man, the combat engine really isn't suited to those 1-on-1 fights.

Me and a friend got our asses kicked by
fucking Slappy. Tried it with melee weapons only, couldn't even get close to really damaging him. Definitely will need to try this one again with firearms, I guess.
