Loving the game so far, but seeing as i never played the first DR i dont even know if im playing the game right...:lol

Questions:

1) Is it game over if you dont get your daughter the Zombrex in time?

2) When you beat the game, is there a new game+ to play again with your levels, stats, etc..intact to make later playthroughs easier?

3) This sounds dumb, but is there a right or wrong way to play this? I mean, i want to be able to explore and stuff, but i feel that i might miss missions, or run into unexpected game over situations

1)No

2)Yes, it's a big part of the game!

3)The only wrong way to play the game would be trying to do everything on your first playthrough. It just leads to frustration.

Some odd ball things like cactus, or other odd things/too big items they won't take. But most will take a blunt object or so. Just try giving them something else. I love when I get a wheelchair and they sit in the chair! lol

Most of the time they'll take a bat. For whatever reason I couldn't get the D&D wussies to take anything. I couldn't stop laughing when one of the fatter ones jumped in the wheelchair.

How are the graphics / performance on the PC version? I loved the first game, but I was really unimpressed by Case Zero. It looked and ran worse than the original.

. I untied the woman but she won't go with me until I find Vasper. I'm running around the food court, hearing a man yelling about how this the "worst vacation ever" and how "he can't do it by himself", but cannot find him. Have been in every restaurant.
Congrats on beating that cheap mother.
As for Jasper, LOOK UP. Specifically above the medieval-themed joint. Now look to the left. There's a bank of vending machines you can climb to get up there.

This is what it looks like on high. Runs at around 40-60fps depending on number of zombies, ect on screen.

Now I have to worry not getting killed a third time by the

You know what the best thing is about the PC version?

Untitled_3.jpg

Only downsize is that you need a fixed/cracked exe that disables the online part. But on the other hand it keeps the online part clean :D

Most story related missions lead you back to the safehouse. I used that quite a bit.

well yeah, but if I have a load of survivors tailing me (not on a story mission), I want the quickest way to the safehouse. Seems a little stupid not to include this.

I am actually having fun by being able to explore every nook and cranny of the game without any hassle. Of course I haven't used it during my regular play-trough, that would be stupid.

Oh man those where the days. Actually having the option offered instead of having to use an external program.

The only hard part is waiting for them to be in sight when you're already at the door.

You don't have to have them in your sight. When you're at a door waiting for a follower, you can notice their icon and when they're in range of a door, a round and green little door icon will pop by their picture. It's made things a hell of a lot easier without having to keep the follower(s) on-screen all the time.

Holy shit thank you!! That was my least favorite part of the first game.

How do you have that lightsaber, and that nail weapon on top of that much cash at level 5, Darklord?

I'm level 10. Have 15k in my wallet and haven't even gotten combo cards to make the wolverine gloves yet
If you know which items to combine, you don't need the combo card. The combo card will just give you bonus PP.

Flashlight + jewelry.

Edit:
Boxer gloves + bowie knife.

Multiplayer cash outs I'm guessing. From one ranked mutliplayer match, I was able to earn almost 80k.

You don't need combo cards to make combo weapons (though the red text indicates that he has the combo card of the light saber). You can get some combo cards by examining movie posters, like the light saber.
For the money part: He probably played a few rounds of TIR. One match nets about 50k.

Where can I find some boxer gloves? The sports store?

There's a sports store with boxing gloves, mma gloves, and weights that I ran into last night. It's not too far from the saferoom but I forgot whether it's upstairs.

It's on the first floor I think. Hang a left after the safehouse. It's got training dummies along the walls.

The sports store right where the save house is, yeah. Protip: There's a bowie knife on top of the magazine stand (which is right across the sports store) for easy wolverine claws everytime you leave the safe room. :p

Hardly a spoiler.:lol

I'm near the end of the game and throughout the game this has been my go-to weapon. Build that PP.

It says in the instruction book that you can find combo cards lying around. Any hint on what I should be looking out for? Are they little pieces of paper on the ground, unusual objects I need to find or what, what should I be investigating?

I also ran into my first psychopath and he kicked my ass. I haven't been able to find a block or dodge button (still getting the hang of things) so I have no clue how I'm supposed to fight the guy since he just dives at me. It was still a really cool setup though.

Thanks. Having completed the game and got the S rank I sure as hell don't want to grind money to unlock cars or wait for hours to reach key decision points.

Instructions can be found on posters. They are bigger and a more full picture than other posters so it's easier to spot them.

Try dodging by jumping out of the way. It worked for 2 psychopaths so far.

on the second thing: unfortunately, you can't block (there is one weapon that looks like it can though) and you can't dodge until you get it by levelling up.

after that though, the game quickly becomes a cakewalk and is really a bit too easy. By which I mean that the point of having cases to fail and restarting (which I did a lot in DR1) is kinda lost on this sequel. Getting all survivors and psychopaths and S ending on the first try is no exception here. It does make up for it in other ways though. You certainly will not be 'cheating' your way through a fight by standing on the lower section of the object you and a boss share and spamming the leg sweep (the first game).

as for the combo cards, they are quite easy:
movie posters

I'll give you one that 'should' be obvious with hindsight:
when exiting the hallway from the safehouse in the royal flush plaza, turn right and go straight forward. The movie poster there (playboy on the other side) in front of the americana casino extrance, will give you an 'examine' prompt will standing right in front of it. Doing so gives you the tenderizer, created with MMA gloves (see the sports store on your left hand when exiting the hallway from the safe house) and a box of nails. probably the quickest weapon too

you are in a large casino you know. It's hardly grinding when you can earns millions in two days.

play poker, ride a bull, rob a safe, and so on. Money flows quickly in these parts

Dammit, I didn't know there were multiple endings. :( I got a bad one for doing something I thought was right...

Boo-urns.

EDIT:
Err, I thought the game was over after the credits - I didn't press X after I got The Facts trophy. Overtime, baby! TK's ass is mine.

Just picked it up for for 25$ at Kmart. Yay printed another 20$ coupon for Castlevania then once i purchase that another 20$ coupon for another game i love these deals!!!

I did the coolest escort ever, "Rock Heroes".
A band is jamming at full blast, thinking the horde of zombies who want to eat their brains are actually their fans. After some dialogue and pressing their frustrations, they decide to crank up the volume, resulting in a bloody orgasm of face melting head exploding awesome; every zombie in the vicinity's head blew up.

It was rad.
Yeah, I happened to time it perfectly on accident: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL-AzRpn2D0

Hooked up my PC to my big screen :-D. Looks great!

I think anyone using kbm when playing TIR has a big advantage until slicecycles.

Something funny happened, but I took advantage of it to beat a psycho
I was fighting Leon and died at him twice. The third time, his bike got stuck on a fountain, so I just destroyed him while he was stuck. Is there an easy way to beat him without being cheap like the way i did it?

My favorite combo so far
freeze bomb
.

So far, I haven't run into any time constraints where I don't feel like I can save everyone. I'm sure it will happen, but I'm near the end of the first day.

Easy way to travel early in the game: find a wheelchair or similar and you'll go much faster.

Here are some screenshots from my rig, which is

4GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD 5850

Not sure how my card compares to yours.

Running over some zombies in a cart

Couple screenshots with the FPS counter on :lol

Overall the framerate sits around 60 for the most part. Dips into the high-mid 40s during particularly harried times. Gnashing into a swarm of zombies with a Axe/Hammer combo.

Never does it get "bad" though

Edit: Woah, imgur did some ugly stuff to these screenshots...
