Find weapons on the left and right sides of the platform (where he sets fireworks off to try and hurt you). Smash his face in.

'Tis what I did.

The flying kick(the one with both legs) stuns him. Just do that, whack him and dodge when you need to.

Question about the ending
What happens if I don't give TK the zombrex? I gave it to him and fought him in overtime. Does anything else change?

Chuck goes back to get Katey's backpack (Katey + Stacey are in the copter), but TK finds him as a zombie inside the safe room and bites him. He tells Stacey to leave, he gets eaten.

So I got this for PC now and installed it, surprised to say the performance is nothing what I expected, I thought it was a solid port ): getting sub 30 at times.

Specs, you ask?

E8500 C2D @ 3.3 ghz
HD Radeon 5870
Win 7.

I guess my puny dual core can't handle the game, ammount of zombies on screen doesn't seem to make a huge difference though.

I'm getting much better performance than you with an E8400 and HD4850 on Vista @ 1360x768+8xMSAA+16xAF.
What settings and resolution are you running with? Disable blur, if you haven't already.

Other than the "hack it yourself" 360 controller support, the port seems completely rock-solid to me.

Btw, how do I beat the motorcross dude? He's pissing me off.

Go to the center of the silver and plat strip. He'll charge at you. Jump over the fence near the maintenance room & save room or find a spot where a tree is close to a lamp post and make him run into them. He'll get dizzy. Sneak around him and wail on him with a melee weapon. Or, if you have enough health just let him mow you down. He'll do a victory cheer for a bit and while he's doing that you can wail on him.

Don't take survivors to this fight unless you have great leadership skills and guns. ;)

I went to the maintenance room that is in a narrow passageway in a brown-rock-thing... I was avoiding him when he was trying to run me over, and hitting him when he got stuck at each end of the "tunnel". And you can build yourself an electric rake with the items lying around, which deals a lot of damage.

So about this game being too easy - it is. Except for the psychopaths. They're much harder than in the first game, mostly due to an elevated cheapness factor.

A good example is the chef, who can wail on you whilst you're down, preventing you from getting up again. Had a full health bar and was reduced to nothing because of that. Usually-damaging weapons also bounce off these guys like they were rubber - Blambow does so little damage to psycho's that I question its worth as an inclusion in the game; it's certainly too fiddly and time consuming to make to justify its use on the regular horde.

Also, fuck the groom.

Has anyone kept track or have a list of what items can be combined with the bike?

How do you even combine stuff with the bike? I went into the trailer to try it but I didn't see any options..

Why would you use a blambow on a psycho?

If you're holding an object that can combine the option will come up when you walk over to the bike. I currently know of two, maybe three now.

Spraypaint + Bike
Chainsaws + Bike
Blue Rabbit + Bike

Ranged, exploding attack. I was just experimenting after being frustrated by Slappy and his ranged, exploding attacks. Wasn't worth the trouble : (

Holy shit, the tearing in DR2 almost made me lose my mind. (ps3)
Thank goodness it doesn't do it as much in the outside areas.

Pretty fun. I like Chuck a lot, more than I expected. And the little girl isn't annoying like most kids in games.

I get the feeling that's more to do with the fact she has a small amount of voiced lines, rather than any excellence on the behalf of the writer or actor.

Ah, thanks. I'd been avoiding getting in close and emptying clip after clip of ammunition into him, only occasionally daring to thwack him with the spiked bat (my most used weapon, really) when he got close.

That's one of the two weapons I usually always have with me.
Crowd control, speed, easy to make and generally find.

Dodge him until starts spinning in circles... immediately rush him but try to approach him from behind so he doesn't hit you when he takes off. Hit him a few times with your favorite melee weapon. Boxing Gloves + motor oil did a ton of damage to him.

Thank you kind sir, disabling the blur helped tons, not perfect but it doesn't dip anywhere as much now, what's weird is that it's more prone to dipping low in smaller areas, huge open ones with tons of zombies work just fine :D.

Edit: I might have found the culprit, I was forcing AA in my drivers.

Having tons of fun with the game so far. Level 50 now and currently working on farming money from the Big Slot machine in Slot Ranch. The gambling books work wonders for that. Still tedious as all hell.... Having the sports car to get from that end of the mall to the safe house makes up for that.

Compared to the first I would say this is the better game. But its still impressive to have all achievements and items unlocked in the first game. There is definitely more of a challenge in DR1 (due to its design). But survivor AI is sooo much better in DR2....I no longer have to constantly go back and help survivors through a crowd of zombies.

Sweet game, I see what you did there.

What level are you fighting Antoine at? I didn't fight him for the first time until around level 30 and I made short work of him. Wolverine Gloves and MMA+Nails gloves and some healing items are what I brought, and I had no trouble at all.

Finished the game last night at lvl 36 and S rank. Now I need lots of money.

Where are the gambling mags at?

And do you have to keep the other magazines of that kind in your inventory for the better one to work? I was never really clear on that. :lol

They stack, so yeah keep them.

Gambling 1: Royal Flush Plaza, Ragazines
Gambling 2: Palisades Mall, Stan's large print books and magazines
Gambling 3: Silver Strip, Shamrock Casino

Mailman is the best psycho by far. That opening part where he's trying to get a package signed makes me laugh my ass off.

There is also a gun store on the top floor of the palisade mall. If you go in there and jump behind the counter, you can use the sniper rifles to take him out. When I stood behind the counter he would wait outside the store entrance and never came in.

Theres no gun store, right? I need to find a shotgun and i've only found one off of Zombie cops.

You can also get a shotgun in the Silver Strip. Go to the outdoor stage, climb on the speakers on the right side and jump on the roof railing of the stage, there's a shotgun there.

Agreed, really reminded me of my own mail man - the ending of that scene is pretty hilarious as well... I thought slappy's introduction when he hovers over you is also pretty amazing.

Best improvement to the series imo. I hated survivors in DR1, I swear I ended up killing them half the time just out of frustration. I wasn't going to buy this till it had a price drop but stupid good impressions made me realize that financial security is worthless if I don't know what to do during a zombie apocalypse. Plus combo weapons touch my inner MacGyver in a naughty bad way.

Lvl 18. Beat him on my third attempt by taking three bottles of orange juice and a spiked bat. Brute forced it, really, which I'm loathed to do but there you go. Honestly, it's not about the fact he was a challenge - I like that; fighting psychopaths once high-levelled wasn't a great pleasure for me in DR1 - it's more that you can get stuck into animation routines with him as he frying pans you from which you cannot escape and, even with a full health bar, you are fucked.

The other psychopaths haven't nearly been as bad as that, but they all have some really cheap shit here and there in comparison to DR1's. I still think DR2 is a better game overall so far, but the contrast between extremely-easy case files and the cheap-and-hard psychopath side missions is astonishing.

Second floor Pallisades, if I remember correctly. The first time you go there you will have to clear out a ton of the looters, and if they knock you unconscious you'll wake up completely stripped of clothing and inventory in a bathroom a few stores down.

Actually on that note, having dual-stick controls for the guns but then keeping 'fire' assigned to the X button is frustrating. I'd really have preferred they kept the game balanced for RE4-style stop-and-aim shooting if they insisted on using the X button. As it happens, the firearm enemies practically demand you successfully strafe and aim with your thumbs, then launch a finger over the grips to hit the face button in some amazing display of gung fu padwork.

Huh? When you're aiming with firearms you can shoot with both X and RT. Have you tried?

Erm, yeah. That was my first instinct. Every now and again I pull RT out of reflex and curse as Chuck does nothing. PC port, here. Might have to fiddle with the .ini files again to see if the controller hack got something wrong : (

Funny thing was, I was still finding the game too easy despite having to use a face button to shoot. My god, the case files are going to be an even fresher spring breeze if I get this working.

Yeah you should be able to go into "RE4 Mode" by hitting the left trigger. Then you can shoot the ranged weapon or gun with the right trigger. The only time that I know of using just "x" to shoot, is when running around.

Let me know if you find anything. I'm also trying to fire using RT using the hack for the 360 wireless controller.

I'm playing the PC version too. Wired 360 controller though. When I'm aiming a firearm with LT, both X and RT fire the weapon. When I'm not aiming with LT, you can only blind fire with X.

I've tried it both ways. Standing in front of them and throwing them, either way she just lunges straight past them. :-/
