I'm looking forward to giving this a go. I got it at a great price (thanks Gaffers) and hope it scratches the Dead Rising itch well!

Ehh $45 I dunno. I think $30 is my sweet spot. Just makes me feel guilty spending 45-50 bucks on a 10-month old game.

E: Why people sweating the GBs? Unless you live in a bandwidth cap country (AU?) a 30 gb file is ~2.5 hours on a 25mbps connection.

Once its in a bundle for $5 im in. Too much on the horizon to get this plus my current backlog is about 10 deep now. Been slowly cutting it down

Pre-loaded, so ready for insanity!

25GB didn't surprise me, these open world titles seem to getting bigger every year. I just hope it's optimized for PC properly!

I picked this up on GMG for $33 and some change back in June and totally forgot, received my key earlier today in email and for a solid ten minutes I was freaking out that my account has gotten hacked.

In the meantime I've had an Xbox One copy that I paid $18 for on Gamefly awhile back that I've never popped in because of the 13GB patch I'd have to wait through. Guess I won't bother at this point.

Its worth the 30GB, I had a blast with the XB1 version. Beat the game and all of the season pass DLC. Liked DR3 a lot more than I thought I would. Tempted to double dip but I have so many games in the backlog at this time so I must resist... :)

oh i've had it bought since the summer sale, i'm just constantly having to re-organize my SSD. definitely going for 256 at least in my next build.

Nice. I was tempted to get it then as well, haha

I have a 256MB SSD right now and its OK but I would recommend going with something bigger, especially with new games eating up so much space. I have several hard drives in my PC, the SSD is used for the operating system and newer, larger, more demanding games. I run older games from a magnetic 1TB hard drive since performance isn't really a big issue with them when loading from a magnetic drive. I've been using this setup for about 8 months and so far its worked well for me.

Its unfortunate that with Origin you can only have one library, so when my SSD gets full I just move an Origin-based game that I don't want to the 1TB drive and back to the SSD if I want to play it again.

Was surprised to see that it was pre-loadable.
At least this pre-load wasn't that kind of fuck-up that Wolfenstein TNO was (getting only the DirectX executables for the German version sure helped nothing in downloading the other 45 GB of the actual game).

This one for DR3 went smoothly and I can't wait for Friday.

And this is why I have a 2TB hybrid alongside my 250GB SSD. Got sick of shuffling/redownloading. A hyrbrid is definitely the way to go for archival purposes or for games where you don't really care about load times.

This snuck up on me. Forgot about it until my code from GMG showed up in my email.

This'll be my first DR game. Hope it's worth the 11 hour download and 25% of my monthly download cap.

Really tempted to snag this tomorrow. This was the only game that I truly missed on XB1. I have a GMG coupon code that expires on September 5. It will drop the price down to $34.65.

Hmmm

This game is awesome glad to see it get a second life on PC sunk almost 100hrs into xbox version. I'll pick it up on pc some day and never play it.

Are developers even using high amounts of space (GBs) for the actual game or are we getting disc like structures, optimized for drive-read speeds via duplicated data, as digital download?

From what I've seen of most console games of recent times it sure as hell doesn't look like it's textures that take up all the space, but maybe it is and the games just don't show it? Or is it audio that is filling up those discs?

Pre-loaded mine earlier. It'll be one of the most recent games I play on my new PC, so I'm looking forward to it.

why download 13GB when you can wait for the 25GB pre-load!

but seriously, enjoy it. its a good game for sure.

So the XB1 is coming out this friday here in 2nd tier land and I'm doubting if I should buy this for XB1 or just go with the PC version?

Yeah it makes sense to spend 460 dollars on inferior version instead of 20 dollars on superior one. Decisions, decisions...

Have they mentioned if that Super Dead Rising 3 Turbo whatever its name is DLC is coming to PC? I'm more interested in playing that.

when they have a good deal (10 or less) ill be all over this. I don't have an xbone so it's nice to have games like dead rising 3, ryse and titanfall come to PC :)

I have a gut feeling that the optimization for this game on PC hardware will be nowhere near acceptable for some reason. I hope i'm wrong, though. If it turns out that this game runs well at release on decents PC's, i'll gladly sink 40 dollars into it. Otherwise, i'll wait for the inevitable price drop to <$10.

Capcom representatives showed that full game can be played at 60 without issue on steam forums.
Then why the 30fps cap in the first place ? That makes no sense.

I guess we should look forward to an immensely CPU bound game. Drops to 30s are absolutely guaranteed no matter how fast CPUs have become.

I hope I'm wrong but 60fps in CPU bound scenarios is not going to be a reality in new games.
