Looking good, final game will probably run at a high resolution and FPS on the new consoles.

Looking forward to this as much as Callisto.

Not sure I trust someone who is a fan of Rick Ross, but what happened with the third game?
Lol. A lot went wrong. I can't go into detail but it was bad. When the head directors left we were left with just nothing to push forward.

Play the 3rd game and you can see that there was no passion.

Goddamn that next-gen price.

Pre-ordered!
End people are angry for tlou1 lol.
tlou part 1 looks incredible and sounds so too.
this looks worse and is like.. way too fucking expensive.

The only reason you replay a remake is for graphics. Otherwise remaster would be enough

I literally played through the first game a little over a month ago on PC, and with just a few minor tweaks, it holds up shockingly well, still incredibly atmospheric. If I hadn't played that original, I feel like I would have liked that trailer a lot more, but it really is just a straight up remake.. Which I'm fine with, I'm really happy to see entire new generations of people check out the game because of the rerelease. But as it so far stands, I think I'd rather pick up Callisto Protocol now and then Dead Space remake down the line when I'm a bit more bored.

Oh, I can't wait to see people play it, it's such a great horror game and people are gonna be in for a fun ride.

I think it looks great and can't wait to jump in. I don't care about the price; I can thank my studies for that.

Part 1, as always with anything Naughty Dog, looks untouchable in its level of detail. Just ignore people downplaying it.

not really sold on the looks of it
i recently finished DS 1 - 3 and this has higher res+ textures and all but the lightning engine was already pretty damn awesome in the first one.
this did not look scarier or more immersive in any way tbh.

if you never played the games.. go for it.. but don't be afraid to play the old 2 and 3 and the on rails shooter.. hell download bluestacks and play the dead spinoff game and watch the movies.. the lore is crazy fun

They are shooting themselves on the foot not releasing this on lastgen as even though it is a corridor game it looks totally lastgen. I don't mean it looks bad, but there is nothing nextgen about it.

- The Last of Us is 9 years old and already received a remaster and now an unnecessary remake.
- Dead Space will be 15 years old and this is a first re-edition.
- TLOU Remake has some minor gameplay and animation improvements + bunch of accessibility options. Nicer graphics too but ultimately it looks like Last of Us 2 (which isn't a knock against it).
- Dead Space is on a different engine with support for ray tracing on PC and consoles, and as far as I'm concerned looks great (substantially better than the original). It also offers new story bits and side missions, expanded lore, modernized gameplay, interconnectivity between levels (instead of loading screens for each chapters/sections) and those levels are not remade 1:1, so it should feel fresh even to those who played Dead Space countless times.

Sure, you can make an argument that it's expensive. However, I wholeheartedly disagree that you would only play remake for graphics and that DS is just a simple facelifting.

Besides, if you are on PC you can sub to EA Play PRO for 15$ a month and play it on release.

I was going to reply with something similar until I saw you basically ticked every box for me, lol. Kudos.

Game changes, new + more content, updated visuals, and an overall updated experience is more than enough for a full priced game that I adored.

Whose brilliant idea was it to take the awesome SP game and make it coop?

I always figured the studio simply didnt want to make the game at that point. Didnt even realize that directors had left the project.

Trying to be nice? Lol let it out bruh.

I used my Arctis 7X on both my Series X and PS5. Series X has the Dolby Atmos for Headphones app active (fuck windows sonic).

The audio was noticeably better on PS5. Could be my ears though as everyone's is different.

You have Dolby Atmos turned on on your Xbox, and there are multiple settings, your current Dolby Atmos settings aren't the best for trailers.

That's why it sounded "better" on the PS5.

How much did you guys hear about sales and performance? they say that Dead Space almost died after the second game, since it didn't sell enough, and that Dead Space 3 was influenced by the absolute need to sell more than the first 2 games. Did you guys feel or hear about this sort of stuff?

Do you think your experience playing this versus the original would be that much different?
It's Dead Space, we already knew what the moment to moment gameplay was going to be like. Whoever expected something completely different than what we got needed the reality check.

I really dislike how Issac is no longer a silent protagonist. Bringing the voice actor from the sequels back is of course the best possible outcome of that decision, but I have a bad feeling it'll damage the original atmosphere. No one wants a chatty cathy in their horror game.

In terms of visuals, I feels like this is a similar scenario to The Last of Us Part 1 remake. It's how you remember it looking in your mind, which is a very good thing since that means it's not straying too far from the original look. But also if you put it side by side with the original, you can see a lot of effort has been put into it.

In Dead Space 2 even with voice Issac was great character, 3rd game they turn him in to jealous boyfriend to shove that force love triangle BS plot on the game......Fuck! I hate Dead Space 3 with passion.

But that's what I am saying. You not gonna have some new amazing experience just because it looks better. That's why people a lot of people aren't that hyped.

Won't buy this remake full price but damn...it's so vibrant compared to Callisto Protocol, each shot, setpiece...the other one is so bland.

This looks great! Between this and Calisto Protocol, fans of these kind of games are in for a treat!

Stop derailing this thread with LOU1 cashgrab talk. There are 300 other threads per day about that game, go there instead.

I wasn't really blown away by the graphics in that trailer. I wish I could see a side-by-side of the ps3 version to the remake. Right now I'm more excited for Callisto Protocol

Eh, i don't know. Graphically it looks very similar to the original, any improvements are subtle.
Classic case of how I remember a game vs how it actually is. People said the same about Last of us, but once you put them side by side the difference is chaotic.

Anyway, looks great, best compliment I can give it is it looks exactly as I remember it. I felt the same way when I played the Crash trilogy remake, memory is funny like that. Of course, when you go back and actually look at the original the myriad changes/improvements become readily apparent.

$70 price point is what it is, it's up to each individual to decide if it's worth it. Not sure if it's a day 1 for me, way too much coming out within that 1 month period but we'll see.
