I still enjoyed some of the writing, but the game part of it was definitely worse. I still liked it well enough, and I enjoyed having another story with York.
Kinda surprised this never made its way to PS or Xbox. I played it at launch for full price on Switch. Of course it is a massive step down from the timeless original but it was still wonderful to experience a new York story with all of the classic Swery weirdness. I have yet to feel compelled to replay it (unlike the original which gives me that urge all the time), but for $1.99 it is am absolute no brainer steal. Absolutely buy it
Besides few exceptions, I follow this logic, what GameSpot hates usually ends up decent and shortlisted to my favorites. Is it just me that think Gamespot is failing to acknowledge modern games?
