Didn't see any wangs, what was that other thread about?
For those who haven't seen Deadpool and are curious:
One scene. It's hardly on full display like Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen. But...it's there.

Also, regarding what that one article said about the hotness of the guys:
This isn't actually a movie with loads of eye candy if you're into men. Wade is a hunk and a half before his mutation, but the camera doesn't linger on his body more than any other Marvel movie. The naked fight happens after he's all scarred up. Not really a disappointment, since the rest of the film is so good, but yeah, if you're in it for the male-focused fanservice, you're better off watching a TV show like Spartacus, Teen Wolf, or Arrow. Deadpool has some beautiful women though.

it is defo unconventional for a superhero flick.

I'll have to see it again. Maybe I was too invested in the story to really notice, lol. Seriously, I was totally into it.

Can't disagree with that first point! And yeah, the ladies are so great. An awesome cast all around.

After the
flashback structure
made itself apparent, I knew I was in for a great ride.

Speaking of great rides, I think I'll devote one whole viewing to manwatching, since that aspect didn't have as much of an impact as I expected. I mean other than that one time Wade took his shirt off. I mean wow. Like, sweet damn!

Saw it last night, brilliant movie, very funny with some great, fast paced, bloody action scenes. Love the X-Men stuff in it too, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead were both awesome.

My only real complaint was it's over too soon. I'm all for a movie with a tight runtime and no unnecessary filler but another 10 or 20 mins really wouldn't hurt Deadpool at all, I wanted more because it was so good.

Hopefully the Unrated / Directors Cut on the blu-ray will satisfy my need for more Deadpool.

I felt the same way. That 1h 48m flew by.

One reviewer made a point to say that there were no dead parts in the movie, that there was no part where you were taken out or wondered what time it was/how long it's been on, and I found this very true. The format of the movie really helped, but damn the script was solid as hell.

Well, I underestimate how popular this would be. FML

I can't get a ticket with decent seat. May have to wait until next week. FFFFFFFFF!!!

Thought I'd get a ticket for later today but every showing is almost sold out. And not counting the midnight showing, so is tomorrow. And half of Sundays showings too.

Damn.

It's the 2nd most popular movie in theaters too.

I loved it, and my spouse is over the fucking moon about the movie. So glad the film got made, and even happier that it ended up being great.

Super bad movie rip ur money.

I will never understand people who go into threads where people are admantly praising a film and then say something like this as if its the concensus. Not enjoying a movie is something everyone is entitled to and generally shouldn't be judged but this kind of projection is always so bizarre.

Since this is shaping up to be a huge success, think we'll see more R-rated comic book movies in the future?

I could see the next Wolverine movie being R. The Wolverine got about as close as it could, and it'd probably give it a boost, oddly enough. People want to see Logan wildin' out

IIRC Wolverine 3 would aim for an R-Rating if Deadpool would be a success and I could see Marvel and WB taking on a few more R-rated movies. Maybe that Justice League Dark movie could get out of limbo due to Deadpool's success....

It's probably a little too late for that now since the movie's going to start shooting in a couple months -- and Jackman himself (or so he says) nixed the R rating for the last Wolverine movie.

If the final Wolverine film starring Hugh Jackman ain't rated R then someone done fucked up big time.

Real talk.

The unrated director's cut of The Wolverine is quite a bit better than the theatrical cut too (though not all the problems with the final act are fixed).

I didn't think it was amazing like some people but from someone who hated all the trailers, it was good enough that I already know that I'll be buying it on Blu-Ray. I really hope it's as successful as it seems it will be, though, because I want the studios to put more R-rated superhero movies out there.

They'll miss a trick if they don't have Deadpool fight Jackman Wolverine at least once in a sequel. That's guaranteed to be the craziest fight ever considering their healing powers.

Goddamnit Hugh! Show some balls!

And that someone?
HUGH JACKMAN

I loved the final act tho
Logan bumrushing everyone
Gets KTFO by an arrow barrage

End of movie!

Also, I really hope Fox gives the sequel a bigger budget cause the special effects were rough.

They boosted it after F4 flopped, but it's kinda hard to go back like that I suppose. They probably will if this does as well as people think.

Can someone comment on how bloody/gory the movie is? My wife has it in her mind she wants to see this because it is a Marvel movie but I don't want her to get blindsided (she's not really into blood).

T'was good. My 7pm showtime wasn't sold out, but it was really close. Went to a pub after the movie, and when I was heading back to my car the box office line was maybe 30 people deep 20 minutes before the 10pm screening. I doubt anyone was buying tickets for 2oolander.

1) I hope this does fucking mental box office

2) I hope conversely this doesn't give us a bloated $170 million sequel

Sure fix up the effects but keep it lean, mean and filthy. If anything I hope this gives Fox and others more faith that creative passion projects around the $55million mark in this fantasy universe can work.

3) Keep the goddamn PR team from this on the sequel

It's actually not that bad. There is a lot of dismemberment, but I wouldn't say it's gratuitous.

Is there a Green Lantern reference/joke in the movie? I'm expecting it to go full meta

Yes, in the opening credits.
