Yes, I did mine. The Samsung software detects it and allows for the firmware to be upgraded. Doesn't care what it has on it, no need for formatting to windows.

Put it back into PS5, works as it did prior to flash; assuming with higher throughput as there is no way to benchmark without a format.

I noticed a difference with a transfer back and forth and logged the transfer in and out. After the update my speed went up a little into the drive and a lot out.

People forget to add a high class heatsink.

Elecgear is the best.

It's a beast. I got one with the exposed copper. Some of them are plated. Not sure if there's a difference performance wise.
