Dear Kanye, please fall off of my face. Signed ... Some dude

The guy can't do anything but take other peoples shit and make it his own. If one more person fucking says "Daft Punk's song was OK but Kanye took it to someplace that's far more awesome than the original", I'm going to fucking take their mother out to a nice seafood dinner

Oh cool, sampling hate in 2015.

Its his shtick. It is what it is. At least he's sticking up for other people's albums... I feel like that somehow makes it a little more digestible. And no, I don't get any racist undertones from it. He works a lot with Jay Z and Beyonce, so it's obvious that he'd talk about them the most.

Still, I love a lot of his older stuff and I've seen worse publicity stunt behavior from other people. It's a show, man.

Kanye saw ODB come onstage during Puffy's acceptance speech when he was a kid and somehow in my mind that gave him permission to do it if he ever became a superstar. The only difference is ODB was funny as hell, Kanye is just annoying and embarrassing.

Dude's got opinions. May express them in a douchey way, but worse things have happened.

Yeezy season approaching.

EDIT: dammit Zeus

Yeah, that's what I mean. Ye was pretty instrumental on Jay's albums.

Some of those are different albums but most of them were the biggest hits from each album. He might have done less on Black Album than I realized though.
NIP was produced by bout 17 different people , No ID also produced run this town, etc.

Apart from that the biggest hit Hov got from Kanye was like, Izzo.

Tons of producers have a hand in Jay career and success. Timbaland, Pharrell, Ski, Puff, Dre, Swizz, Jay has his pick of any beats and he's made hits on all of them... on a career spanning 30+ years. We're talking about a guy that's turned down DJ premier material in his prime.

if kanye was never in the game it'd just have been someone else. It was before.

he said beck should respect the craft and give his award to beyonce.... However i would bet my life that he never even listened to becks album and hes just siding with his buddies. hes a moron

I have no problem with him being outspoken, but he's being straight up disrespectful to another artist. An artist who didn't do shit to him.

True and I agree with this. Out of all the dudes he could have talked trash about...fucking Beck :(. The same dude that came out with The New Pollution. Ye forever trolling :/.

If one more person fucking says "Daft Punk's song was OK but Kanye took it to someplace that's far more awesome than the original", I'm going to fucking take their mother out to a nice seafood dinner then never call her again.

Can't do anything but samples, please.

Oh cool, sampling hate in 2015.

I have no problem with sampling other peoples' music. In fact, it's helped propel us along. But let's not pretend that you are the king-all high-and-mighty grand poohbah because you took other peoples' songs and made them your own and it was only YOU that did that.

Also, Beck is a fucking class-act.

http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity...s-shade-agrees-beyonce-should-have-won-201592

"I was just so excited he was coming up. He deserves to be on stage as much as anybody," Beck said when asked how he felt about West crashing the stage. "How many great records has he put out in the last five years right?"

Even though he said Beyonce should have won? "Absolutely," replied the humble musician. "I thought she was going to win. Come on, she's Beyonce!"

And what about his diss that Beyonce is true artistry, and you're not? "You can't please everybody, man," he replied. "I still love him and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does."

That's a seriously classy response. Good on you, Beck.

Would him feuding with black people make you feel better, buddy?

Because, he has. I'm not sure where you're coming from with this racist thing.

It's not necessarily racist, but it's the same scummy, low-hanging fruit bullying that Eminem did; you pick the easiest targets, which for a hip hop artist would be (in order):

1. Someone white and in a genre that isn't associated with urban music
2. A woman.

He's not snatching any mics from any rappers, unless it's Macklemore or a Christian rapper. His behavior is disturbingly calculated.

He also does a lot of damage to America's racial stereotype issue every time he does something selfish like that, but then makes music and goes on rants about inequality and racism.

I think the music industry is better when there's artists like him around.

As for the racist part, HA! Please he's not racist. A lot of white people are simply made uncomfortable by him since he's a strong willed black man who isn't scared to speak his mind and that scares the hell out of a lot of white people who aren't used to him.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Ye was pretty instrumental on Jay's albums.

Production on:
"Girls, Girls, Girls" (Remix) (Bonus Track)
"Izzo (H.O.V.A.)" (Jay-Z)
"Takeover" (Jay-Z)
"Heart of the City (Ain't No Love)" (Jay-Z)
"Never Change" (Jay-Z)
'03 Bonnie and Clyde" (Jay-Z featuring Beyoncé)
"Encore" Jay Z
"Lucifer" Jay-Z
"Run This Town" (Jay-Z featuring Rihanna & Kanye West)
"Niggas in Paris" (Jay-Z and Kanye West)

Some of those are different albums but most of them were the biggest hits from each album. He might have done less on Black Album than I realized though.

Dude I hate Kanye the personality but I would never downplay is musical merits. You don't have to put Jay Z down to somehow prop up Kanye.

Jay Z was a legendary rapper with classics under the belt before Kanye ever "helped" him. And if anything Kanye wouldn't exist without Jay Z. This narrative that he saved Jay Z is tired. if Kanye was never born Jay would have found another up and coming producer to work with. Jay has always had and still does a great ear for production even if his ability to rap great is no longer consistent.

Beautiful (other than the "nigga" part).

I agree with the sentiment behind what he said but the actual words and act was too much stupidity. Honestly, Beck did a good job playing it off.

I love Kanye, but for him to talk down to Beck like that because he isn't a part of his bubble was some bullshit. I don't even care for Beck and I def don't think he even should have won but what Kanye said wasn't even just an insult to the win, but to Beck's whole career basically. Like come on....

Hey, I never intended that to mean Hov wouldn't have continued on, I just feel Kanye had a hand in helping him reinvent.

Being a fucking idiot doesn't mean he's a racist. He's a moron just ignore him this dude needs people like A-Trak to put him on to Daft Punk. I'm sure he doesn't even know how important Odelay is.

"Because when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration," West continued. "And we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day, and they listen to that Beyoncé album and they feel like it takes them to another place."

What. The. Fuck.

Did the government give you AIDS, OP?

Don't worry, if he keeps putting out albums like Yeezus you'll hear less and less about him.

he married a white woman whose parents come from a country (Armenia) that is geographical located in a region called ''the Caucasus'' where the name ''Caucasian'' comes from

LOL he aint racist

*fake orange spray tan does not make one non-white. J-Lo too is pale white pasty without the orange spray tan

As much as I thought he was an asshole for that E interview, I'm currently jamming The College Dropout and I have all of you to thank blame.

Only her dad is Armenian.

Don't think Kanye is racist just a confused asshole. His rants over not winning awards always have a racial tangent. His rants about the fashion industry always include race. He will only interrupt a white artist accepting an award cause in his mind the real artists, in both cases Beyonce, were robbed. Million bucks says had Rhianna won over Beyonce he wouldn't rush to stage. To him it was a racial thing. Would be hilarious to see if Eminem was nominated and won against Beyonce. Would he rush up to the stage then?

His entertainment value is quickly diminishing and his talent, at whatever he's doing, is over-exaggerated by both himself and his stans.

And if he doesn't get his fill of unanimous praise from whoever he considers to be authority of recognizing modern geniuses at the moment (old rich European dudes apparently) he throws a tantrum rarely seen outside of special needs kindergartens.

I liked his early to mid 2000s era production, his latter stuff is a tad...overwrought. I respect him for doing Yeezus though, it takes an enormous ego and a set of balls to for someone in his position to release an album like that.
I dont think he's racist and anyone who does isnt listening to his music. Dude is craving for that white acceptance, especially from white elites.
