Kojima cannot fund an expensive project like DS2 by himself. So he always needs to partner with someone, beyond that... the deal that's made on publishing rights is a separate matter.

Lol. I don't, but whatever helps you sleep at night. I play my games on PC. Hellblade 2 was a walking sim that didn't overstay its welcome. Death Stranding did. It's as simple as that.

The thing is, just recently the justification for DS2 terrible physical sales in different countries on Neogaf was that everyone bought the game digitally, so if its doing bad on the PS store as well, then its neither doing well when it comes to physical sales or digital sales.

Im 40 hours into death stranding 2 and id play that over fh5 personally. FH5 caters to a completely different market.

You're comparing a mountain to a mole hill. Sure add like the seven people who still buy physical games to the list here.. Sony doesn't even bother including a disc drive with the ps5 pro, Microsoft didn't think it was worth the trouble of making physcial copies of Forza.. physical media is clearly not a substantial marketplace.

Well, it's summer, so why would you play a walking simulator in the summer? DS2 could have been a good winter game. I think they brought the release date forward out of fear of GTA6.

But sequels generally sell worse than their predecessors, as we've seen with FF7 Rebirth. Maybe Kojima should finally make the game everyone wants him to? Sony even had to sign an explicit contract with him to make a stealth game. xD

True. Lynch's Dune is a real stinker, studio meddling etc but still, it has his name on it.

And I'll sit and watch Fast 5 any day of the week and by god you can't tell me there weren't more than a few teary eyes at the end of Fast 7.
