Well if they wanted to get rid of him with minimum fuss, "getting rid of the position" is probably the easiest way anyhow. Not like they need any writers given vince just ends up doing his own thing anyway

hahaha, wwf's really trying to kill WoS before it even gets a full series. must be really worried about how many people are going to be watching WoS (which will probably be more then watch raw in the US).

ITV are reviving the old World of Sports wrestling show for a (perhaps) one-off special on New Year's Eve - it doesn't bear much similarity to the old show, there's no round-based rule set for one, but it's a family friendly thing and features a lot of good talent from the UK scene, so hopefully it should be pretty fun.

What a weird promo by the debuting nWo. Least effective debut imaginable? Probably.

Oh, and Scott Hall looks bad. Why did he ditch the slick-back? Foolishness.

The WWE nWo is quads more inept than WCW nWo when it was at its worst there, they madei t like they were gonna tear through the WWE but really they, and especially Nash, only really tear themselves down.

It's nice of Ryback to spend time with fans like Baron Corbin.

Next year's big sci-fi movie: Baron Corbin goes back in time to stop himself from learning everything he knows from Ryback (aside from a sliver of charisma) and then something something fights himself at Wrestlymania 35 but nobody watches

The WWF NWO are not destined for much. They peak at the Rock feud (mostly Hogan) and quickly dissipate from there.

SHOOTMAS Day 11

AWA/NJPW's Billy Robinson vs NJPW's Antonio Inoki

1421092440964
1421092427018
1421092332518

A classic match between two of the greatest in ring performers ever. Robinson was trained at the famous Snake Pit in the UK and is widely reguarded as on of the greatest catch wrestlers of all time. He has trained some of the greatest prowrestlers, Catch Wrestlers, and MMA fighters of all time.

Inoki on the other hand may have birthed modern MMA with his match against Ali and his matches against other martial artists and his promotion of shoot fighting helped popularize the sport today.
For two big dudes those motherfuckers could bump.

Can't decide what's more ridiculous: Booker T and Test being a tag team or Tazz and Spike Dudley being tag champs AND successfully defending at two PPVs.

Dumb indie shit can be fun. It was just a student's exhibition match anyways, felt like an old-school ROH undercard scramble. Da Hit Squad even came out afterwards and destroyed all 7 of them, super fun but whatyearisthis.gif

Cena drew the viewers for SNL:

Deadline reports that last night’s edition of Saturday Night Live on NBC, featuring WWE Superstar John Cena as the guest host, drew a 4.8 Live+same day rating in metered market households. It also drew a 2.3 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic in the markets with local people meters.

According to the report, these were the best ratings for SNL since the first post-Presidential election episode on November 12, which was hosed by Dave Chappelle (6.2, 3.9). The rating was also higher than last week’s episode, hosted by actress Emma Stone (4.4, 2.1) and a corresponding episode from the same time last year (3.8, 1.8).
