I rewatched Hogan vs Warrior today, and it's a pretty solid match for what it is. I mean, it coulda been the two dudes exchanging shoulderblacks for 5 minutes and ending the match, and the crowd still would have been ape shit. And for the WWF, that makes it the best match on the card regardless of quality(which I agree with, especially for that era of wrestling.)

But one thing I liked that I never really noticed before was Monsoon's line about 'The Hulkster just took one giant step towards immortality.' Some might have seen that as 'oh we gotta put over Hogan',' but Warrior was already put over. He beat Hulk Hogan. You couldn't be put any more over in professional wrestling. Ever. But I feel like Monsoon saying that about Hogan just added to his legendary status at that time. Even though he lost, it kind of made it seem like Hogan was ascending while still putting the young guy in the number one spot. And it even ended on Warrior's music.

It's got a great ending. Not my favorite Warrior or Hogan match, but it's probably one of the most important matches of all time. And it's better than I remembered.

Excellent match and atmosphere. I too love the "immortality" line.

There was some overbooked nonsense up in this b, but I don't particularly mind right now.

This has nothing to do with the business and has everything to do with the fact that the world is just simply a lot smaller than it was during the Flair and Bruno days. Cena is the beneficiary of the era he was born into.

THAT'S THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT SUNNY AND I ARE MAKING. Or at least the one I'm making. It has nothing to do with who is more skilled. It has everything to do with WHEN they were popular. And because Cena was the face of wrestling in the 00s-10s, even though things were down, he's FAR more accessible and seen by FAR more people than Flair was even at the height of WCW. Cena ending up being more important to wrestling than Flair is 100% the luck of when he was born, but that doesn't make it less true. That's the whole point and you mark ass marks in here been working yourselves into a working shoot work shot put mother fucker BROTHER over bullshit that doesn't even matter.

For some reason my older brother was a HUGE Rugged Ronnie Garvin fan back in the day. Didn't he have that weird finisher where he'd stomp on a guys limbs or something? Looked like he was playing hop scotch?

Got some Habanero and Poblano peppers to add to my veggie thing. Pretty excited about testing those out tomorrow. Might try to make a chile relleno sometime.

Alex Riley has been tweeting the "#FreeRiley" hashtag and re-tweeting comments from fans about how WWE and Vince McMahon should push Riley. Here are some of his tweets that began on Tuesday.

I think it's time to pack it up Riley...

SEE YOU NEXT TIME! BYEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Watching the newest Monday night war

this made me decide to watch it myself.

3 minutes and 30 seconds in is a clip of Ryback saying "you can't keep using the same guys over and over, you have to give the young guys a chance"

Example #1 in how out of touch the WWE is. Wonder how many more examples will be in this 55 minutes video alone

From Alvarez:

Charlotte/Nattie wasn't even booked for Raw that night. Vince made the call, Triple H had nothing to do with it. It was 100% Vince's call. He decided that night they would have a match, and that Charlotte was losing.

More from Alvarez:

Titus O'Neil walking in on the Divas...was a bet. lol. Someone bet him to just wander into the shot, he took it.
