so yeah, this thread really is just all about game worlds that you think really deserve to be fully realized with the power of the up coming next gen systems. games that aren't likely to get a sequel, but if done right on the up coming hardware, can perhaps even get a chance to shine really big....
Shenmue - well, i gotta say, imagine the scope of a 3rd or 4th gen Shenmue. i think that alone really speaks for itself. a game were AM2 (or perhaps digital rex) just created a full blown living city, and i don't mean a city connected by bus rides like the other games. but literally, one massive city that has nothings but ins & outs, public transportation, alleys, random balconys, sewer system. EVERYTHING.
have them just throw you into it, and that's it. the game starts, no clues or hints to start off with. just get your shit done, and take it from there.
Snatcher - c'mon, if you can't see the potential for this one. you lose. Revolution controller i feel, would be a turbo perfect match for this one as well. more so than the DS would.
i'll do more later.
oh, and i wanted to say rez as well, but really, that's just something i wouldn't mind (i'd like to obviously) seeing a sequel to, but really, UGA nailed it in every way the first time around.
