Good to be home.
Wow. The grip on the left thumb stick on my dual shock 4 is disintegrating. It will tear by tomorrow guaranteed. This is stupid. I don't want to have to use that dual shock 3, it's a piece. Any warranty on this thing? Ugh.
Loving Destiny on PS3 though. So good. Xbox beta can't come soon enough.Complete BS it is being held back right now. Just stupid business crap tactics. Feels bad man.
Those mobs are there to limit where you can go in the beta. Instead of changing the map by adding temporary beta walls, Bungie decided to put some unlkillable mobs. Pretty sure this was in one of the videos.
So did they say it won't be in the full game? Or will they similarly want to block off areas in the full game? Doesn't feel like a beta-only thing to me.
I've seen several temporary beta walls so it's not like they don't use that option as well.
Pretty sure you don't show up on the radar when you crouch.
There's no way to hide or surprised opponents if that's the case.
Crouching makes you invisible on radar. It is so dang useful on Venus.
Can someone confirm if crouching indeed doesn't hide you from radar? Is everyone always shown if you get within the radius?
Tracker (i.e. Your Radar in the Upper Left)
• Friendlies always show up as dots and players can see their position relative to their own. If a player goes in with a pre-made Fireteam, the dots will be Green instead of the standard Blue.
• Enemies always show up on the Tracker, so it has nothing to do with movement. If they are crouched, however, they will ping less frequently, but still show up. This greatly reduces camping.
• The Tracker is broken up into segments, and we generally show where the enemies are without revealing the exact position. This means effective Tracker usage requires a combination of map knowledge and in-game situational awareness.
• When lines appear outside the main segments, we are showing the general direction of enemies, and usually following that will get the player back into action.
• When the center piece starts flashing that means an enemy is within 6 meters, and we call that the panic zone.

The vehicles...holy shit do they dominate. The turrets are worse! I've never played a game where the turrets are so powerful. Frustrating stuff. Also the spawns aren't that great. Been spawn killed a few times.
I hope we can remove the HUD after launch.
My man! Good games with youGood morning,
Mr Stephen and qwsa12 - lets to it again!
can we change our guardians appearance once we've created them???
How do I get that thruster pack thing like the alpha had? :S
Buy some of those thumbstick covers. I bought some and it made the controller a lot better
to the people talking about vehicles. did you get a heavy weapon yet?
Radar stuffs according to Bungie. More crucible stuff at:

Then crouch!I really don't like the radar for PvP. People always know I'm coming around the corner. It's a deal breaker for me.
I thought I was always a Titan but I don't remember. Is it class specific?? did you change classes?
There is a vault in the Tower you can use. There's no trading between players though. Is it possible to pass loot from character to character?
I only get Moon and Venus right now. They'll probably introduce the other two maps later in the beta. The IGN wiki lists 4 pvp maps. Are those available in the beta or is just Venus and the Moon? The UI is really nice but I feel like I could be missing something since I wasn't controlling the fireteam.
A question for the more MMO savy: the strike missions can be considered raids?
They are more like dungeons. There is a raid in the full game and it's done with 6 people.A question for the more MMO savy: the strike missions can be considered raids?

Actually on second thought I may just replace the dualshock 4 sticks with some Xbox one sticks from eBay. Apparently they fit great and I know those won't wear out any time soon. Save me the hassle of dealing with Sony customer support.

strike missions are more like quick instances/dungeons more than full blown raids.

I think the Strike missions are more akin to dungeons. At least that's how it felt for me when I completed Devil's Lair last night!![]()
bah, I keep getting booted back to damn orbit.
