Hard Crota drops word or fang and the crux.
Normal Crota drops the secondary and heavy weapons.
You can't get secondary or heavy weapons doing hard Crota. No chance.


Hard bridge drops abyss defiant.
Hard abyss drops the oversoul edict.

Gotta "enhance" that content. The only reason the loot tables are like that is to make you want to run the raid 2x as often per week.

Eh; the simpler solution is to run it like VOG where it rolls both loot tables on hard mode. So you can get all three weapon types on a HM kill. Leave primary weapons exclusive to hard but still let you roll for special and heavy.

Yeah but in that case you could still get a song of it Yut and no fang for example and that would piss people off too so Bungie would have angered players one way or the other.

I think the last couple of weeks have proved that players will get angry over literally any improvement to the game.

Matchmaking for Weekly Heroic? Fuck that man, I wanted to run it solo!

Access and equip vault gear from my mobile app? Bullshit, they should have built it into the game - it's just a band-aid!

I'm done running hard mode because I got every single thing there is to get out of it within 4-5 weeks. Still doing normal because even with 3 characters the game refuses to give me a Black Hammer or Hunger of Crota. I'd still be running HM if I had a shot at them there.

I quite like the loot table for CE.
At least when you want one particular armor / weapon, you know exactly which phase in which mode you have to "farm".

All enemies in NM CE start at Lv30 and increase up to Lv32 for the last two phases, where you literally can't do any damage to them. Lots of groups around here can easily carry a Lv28 if you just want the gear but it won't be much fun for you and you won't be able to contribute much.

If you are Lv28 and new to raiding, try to get in a NM VoG group where the max enemy level only reaches 28 so you will be on equal footing and can just focus on learning the encounters. Otherwise, you'll probably want to hit Lv30 before trying NM CE (also high enough for HM VoG, but still a good idea to learn the raid on NM first).

Gala could try to do the Abyss and the bridge for chances at raid armor instead of grinding for tower armor if a decent team would help out. But yeah the last two parts of the raid after the bridge won't give a 28 any armor and
For a 28 they would be just sitting around or dying and watching everyone else...

The problem IMO with starting VoG NM is that yes it's a good thing to do for fun but the armor loot drops are worthless.

Anything you earn and save that gets decrypted, will get decrypted as of when you earned it. Engrams and packages won't upgrade. However, not sure what the next Exotic upgrade system will be like but Exotic bounty turn ins, they did turn in as the new attack (331 vs 300) when kept from pre-DLC

You can just get your ranks up to near max to help when DLC hits

Thanks you two! I guess I will wait then and farm another 100 marks after the weekly reset to get some more vendor equipment first.

Also what's the best way to get Ascendant Shards right now? Need some to upgrade my equipment

It's actually not even so clear-cut with VoG;

When you run Hard mode you do get a chance at all of the Normal Mode items, however you are actually getting two rolls against the Hard loot table, which just so happens to include the Normal mode items (unlike CE). In other words, while it's possible to get a Found Verdict and a Fatebringer from the Templar, as well as two Found Verdicts, it's also possible to get two Fatebringers, one of them effectvely "stealing" your chance at a normal mode roll. So this (doing HM without having yet done Normal) is very good if you're pursuing a Hard-only roll specifically, but lowers your chance of getting any particular Normal mode roll.

I agree with you.

Destiny community situation reminds me 100% over situation Polyphony had with Gran Turismo 5 from 2009 to 2012.

They were making updates for GT5 through 3 year continuously (even the fuckn earthquake and Fukushima didn't stop them), and almost every single wish from community was tackled. Those that were not, they came as integral part of GT6. And what happened?

Nothing. Community was bitching even louder.

It is a lose-lose situation. I wrote about it numerous times in various places, but it all comes down to most simple fact: developer should stay true to its original ideas and vision and take various outside ideas and requests only if they fit in the original vision.

Once the original vision gets compromised, complete system goes to hell.

Vocal community minoritie are most toxic thing in the current industry.

Hoho, he did it.
TheHM05 just beat NM CE solo, without using a gun.
Only melee and grenades.
It took him a LONG while to get that perfect run on Crota.

I keep it around, I don't really keep stuff in the armor slot of my vault so it just goes there. At this point, the vault is just for mats and unique weapons I don't use (raid, IB, exotic). Destiny Item Manager that does auto moving and equipping between all characters and lets me make loadouts means that I only need one or two spaces in my vault at a time to easily transfer and equip weapons.

My Titan only had two pieces anyway, decided to shard them. My Warlock is still wearing the boots, so I'll hang on to those for now, and shard everything except the helmet when I have some better gear. I love the look of that helmet.

I haven't used the loadout feature, will it be able to take weapons from other characters and equip them on the character I want to have them. Honestly this will be so nice for quick PVP changes
