To make sure I don't tell bullshit I just ran the abyss. It actually takes 10 crits with black hammer.

Okay, so you have to proc three white nails, or get lucky and have your reloads happen when he's behind the rocks. Not as easy as seven, and I probably wouldn't risk it if there were a bunch of people waiting on me, but doable. I'll have to practice by myself.

Btw that blink video someone posted earlier to get across the bridge is crazy easy. Blink strike once, do 4 slashes, blink again and 4 slashes again and blink once more and you are across. Crazy it's so easy I actually got it first try.

I can't do it since I use the green thumb button layout. It takes too long for me to go from melee to jump with them being the same finger.

R3 melee. I like it since I can aim and punch with the same stick. It's a holdover from halo where one of the face buttons was melee and you had to take your thumb off of the look stick to melee.

Thunderlord seems to be so much more rare than gjally. Of course this is based on my personal experience and what I see in this thread and shouldn't hold any weight whatsoever. Just something I noticed. I know some people have multiple TLs and no gjallys but most ppl, like me, had multiple horns before they got a TL. Took me FOREVER to get one.

I also find that it's the best primary for doing the heavy ammo trick on HM Crota. Get your ammo down to 32 total. And once the Crota intro starts shoot out the rest before the glass breaks. If I ever get that I will give it a shot, but the Vex works pretty well too. If I am in a group that just wants to go, it only takes about 15 secs to unload a couple clips, start mission and finish unloading. Swap to icebreaker with seconds to spare.

That's exactly right. I do the same thing and my primary is down to 0 as soon as the glass breaks.

That's why these nerfs bum me out. I feel like the very first iteration of the Suros was a fantastic PVE weapon and was perfectly fine that way until Bungie decided to nerf it at the expense of PVE. The Suros has received 3 damn nerfs for Christ sakes all because they refuse to seperate balancing it for PVP and PVE. Why? But they did that for shotguns.

I just really really love the weapon and it bums me out that I don't really use it that much when Scout rifles and Hand cannons are obviously the better choice.

After that first nerf I never used the suros for PVE again. Not because it wasn't good anynore but because it just didn't feel the same. It's the worst feeling when a weapon you love using so much gets nerfed.

When I first got the horn, in my first VOG run and completiion with NeoOak, I was like WTF is this BS German rocket launcher. It was my second exotic drop behind the Thunderlord from the first Nightfall who Cobalt carried me through as I was a 28.
Having both of them at an early stage of playing the game helped me do a lot of things by myself. The horn carried me through PVE while Thunderlord helped me a great deal with the Crucible. I am blessed.
