I tried the Forgotten Shore guy several times but his shields recharge so fast. My 331 Thunderlord became a pea shooter

Shotgun him first to drop his shield and then Thunderlord to the head to keep his dazed.
I have done this several times. Works great.

the duke was amazing though and i found a good backhanded compliment to help grind to 20.

I didn't make a Hunter until TDB came out. It's the only class I use in PvP. Best decision ever.

With Variks at least, you'll need to level him up across separate characters to gain access to all the class items, unless they changed that after the Reef reveal video.
