The major Servitor adds are worse IMO. Black Hammer does decent DPS against P. Servitor even with small arms. The smaller Servitors are a lot harder to get the White Nail proc on, running in with shotguns is suicide and probably not worth it, and so you're left pelting him with a couple of magazines of primaries. Since (most?) primaries don't do great burst DPS it can get pretty tiring.

Yea it's absolutely crazy how many majors the game spawns on that fight, all servitors are majors, half of the captains and vandals are majors...wtf?

Did Bungie even playtest Skolas? How did they not see the same issues with the burns we all immediately saw.

For a long time now I've highly doubted they ever play their own game on hard considering the kind of on-two hit bullshit kills you see in their hard mode that pretty much forces players to hole up in one corner and pop out to shoot once in a while.

Yea, reduced health is gonna make him easier anyway with Horns

Thats what I was thinking. Less damage, but less health too. Maybe not a complete wash, but Ghorn spam will cerainly be viable.

LOL no, Skolas will now become no burn nightfall Valus ta'aurc pre nerf but 10x worse. Give me Arc burn Skolas instead any day please, it wasn't even that hard, we just made sure to only stick to the outside area of the arena and run in a clockwise manner whenever we moved from side to side since the most dangerous adds were in the middle.

Major servitor = bullet sponge. So annoying.

Frankly I don't think skolas's HP and burns is bad at all :/ and IMO sniper rifles are better since you can stun lock him to death.
Welp I did kill him 7x in about 2.5 hours...
And another thing got my 5th cipher. Deleted it but the stupid green icon still shows up D: it sucks since I OCD about those icons ;_;

Now to get that petition going for lvl 32 PoE matchmaking (optional matchmaking of course).

On one hand that'd make sense with how new bosses get put in 34 first so when it rotates into 32 it's a week old and guides are out. On the other hand I don't trust pugs with mechanics harder than DPS the thing.

So no mention of those pesky golden gun hunters?

No but good news here's a box and a story about how we shipped it.

Oh god thank you for letting me know that. That would have tortured me too much.

Looking for PoE 34 group.

Haven't done it before though, just got enough gear for level cap couple of days ago.
I've heard it's relatively easy this week?

And if Bungie did, how did they didnt noticed the awkwark influx of enemies and no safe zones.

Looks like they playtested the encounter without modifers at all

It's pretty common that development staff usually isn't as amazing at the game as the playerbase.

I don't know who at Bungie specifically tests this kind of stuff, but odds are if they could regularly get Skolas down to 30 or 40%, they made a safe assumption that the public would do alright with it.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they play tested without modifiers and just threw them in at the last minute for the sake of changing it up every week.

I was initially going to add that in my post but then I realised without burns he probably had a shit ton of health and they would have noticed that it takes an awful lot.
My theory? They tested without burns (or at level 35) and then they thought to have a burn modifier every week and as such increased his health.

Why not make it so that the burns only apply to the players rather than the enemies too and keep the health/mechanics the same. Now it's just going to be only GHorns.

I swear Bungie doesn't think this shit through.

I would say your method would increase G'horn appearances. They'd be garunteed for the Sol Weeks.

The post seemed to imply modifiers would still be a thing for Skolas, just not the 3 burns.

I can see specialist or small arms working well.

Think of it with Angry. Fuck that shit.

Black Hammers would still get use on solar weeks and then on void and arc weeks it would be useless.

Now with the new setup G'horn is the one and only answer every week. Fucking stupid.

Explosive boxes, fuck!

What worries me really (and I realize I'm probably over reacting to this whole thing) is that there will be two types of exploiters this weekend.

A dumb exploiter will throw the grenade every chance he gets, have a super every round, and easily find himself flagged for a temp ban (maybe osiris gear banned).

A smart exploiter will only use the grande thing once, maybe twice, and then just feed the orbs to his teammates so they have their supers more often. This will be much harder for Bungie to identify, if they even can, because player could "play dumb" and pretend they didn't know what they were doing.

It's the latter group I really worry about.

It's the "only answer" the same way G'horn is the only answer to Aetheon or Crota. A requirement by people that are too afraid of their own and their teammates skills, and are overcompensating.

Any slightly above average player will be able to do this fight. G'horn or not.

If new Skolas can be burned from whenever tainted light begins to 0 using synth Gjally then yeah, it might be problematic. If not then people should be more inclined to go for sustained DPS allowing for more weapon options.

I think without burn the fight is definitely more manageable with communication and coordination. However I don't have an issue if people want to DPS burn through month old mechanics just because.

What's the best roll for maching guns?

You're using an auto rifle... What?!

Because I was using the IB, that AR was the best one I had in my primary (honestly, I just chose a random decent primary). But I ended up getting the Messenger (Void) from that passage run so I'll be using that as my primary in ToO (until I can get the Red Death... please Xur... or RNG)

I only used the IB cause I was out of special ammo.
