Just wait for Brother Vance to sell Tomorrow's Answer. It's perfect out of the box.

It's an amazing RL out of the box, but a perfectly rolled RF or AF will have better velocity/blast radius. It'll make no difference for most practical purposes, but since we don't know when TA will be sold, and not everyone can hit 7 wins, re rolling is the solution for the masses.

Kor: nope, it's got Javelin Tripod and Proximity.

Now Grimlock (Explicit?) mentioned maybe helping me this evening as I would like to try to get a helmet for my Titan from Bagger Vance.

I know the Sony event is tonight.
I have two monitors and will hopefully not get distracted by
TLG. WAIT WHAT?? :p
I really would like to get a helmet though.

Will anyone be on that could help me get to 5 (if Grim can't? He got roped into in-laws detail last night hahaha been there bro) I don't really care about Mercury - it would be awesome but a helmet would be fantastic enough.

NO expectations. I am not whining. But it would be rad to have a snazzy 42 Light helmet that looks SICK.

You may now proceed with your regularly scheduled E3 programming.

EDIT: I'm average at best in PvP. (full disclosure)

Isn't it missing proxy detonation? That's kind of useful.

It has Hard Launch, Tripod, Javelin, & Grenades and Horeshoes. Can't be beat.

Ash Factory has 39 Aim Assist. TA has 66. Trials guns have OP Aim Assist across the board.

What on earth would aim assist even do in a RL :p i don't even aim them, the whole point of having high velocity, blast radius and proximity detonation is shooting it in the general direction of an enemy and getting that kill.

Pretty sure AA only helps your reticule center around headshots more reliably, which means it's meaningless for RLs (like range on Snipers, another useless stat)

There was a whole article on Reddit. It has to do with bullet curve AND stickiness on target.

What determines whether your RL gets three or four rockets per pickup in PvP (with heavy ammo boots)?
Probably total magazine size.

Still don't see how this would help with rocket launchers. I am constantly trying out new weapons and have a strong preference for high AA stuff. I was the original champion of Her Benevolence for its high AA over here :p But I really don't see how it'll do anything meaningful with a PvP rocket launcher. Most of the time your rockets won't even hit the target, just explode in their proximity. And again, most of the times you'll be hip firing, if you stop to aim chances are high you'll trade because you give your target time to aim back no? Even then, if you're aiming with the huge ass reticule on a RL and the enormous hitbox, I really really doubt AA will do absolutely anything useful.

If anything, I can imagine an edge case where a jumping guy will move your reticule in a silly direction and make you miss. I can't think of AA being useful on a RL under any circumstance.

Still, I lust so bad for that Trials RL. I don't have the perfect rolls on my AF or Radegast's Fury yet, and Tomorrow's Answer is the next best thing short of equipping Truth.

New Machine Gun PvP Reforge thread courtesy of Reddit.

So many perks I thought were crap (and that I kept passing up on my BTRD) apparently are top tier. I wasted so many weapon parts.

Just read that. Didn't realize my Jolder's with Aggressive/Hip Fire/Perfect Balance was God-tier!

Maybe you're right, but I still like my Tomorrow's Answer better than my Ash Factory because Trials weapons are so damn lovely to behold!

Wow, Skola's Health nerfed almost 50%.

Ghorn spam may not be necessary, but probably still effective.

The point of G'horn spam is to down Skolas before the mine.

With his current health adjustment, that's not going to be possible.

No reason to restrict your weapon pool to G'horn because of it.

So it's small arms and lightswitch for the modifiers.

One question though: do the primary weapons of the enemies also do more damage with small arms ?

Weapon damage down by 66% though with the lack of burn. If we ever get Specialist or Small Arms, RL damage would be even further reduced. Ghorn spam is probably never gonna be the best strat anymore.

I can confirm that they did fix the stuck bounty issue and it applies retroactively - I have had one stuck at Variks since last week and just picked it up.

Do we know the percentage of the reduced damage of the weapons when specialist or small arms are on ?

Small arms and no burn might make him the spongiest he's ever been. 66% less damage due to no burn, and then Small Arms will further nerf Special and Heavy weapon damage output.

Will have to test, but unless they edited the damage requirements for his stagger, it'll be impossible to stop him from teleporting. A high impact sniper used to do ~8k damage with WoL. They'll be doing like 2k now.

Wanted to start up a game of elimination before looking for a Trials game this afternoon. Loaded into it and it started on the activity summery page with nothing on it. Ended up getting an Ash Factory and a passage coin without actually doing anything.

I really doubt that.

Horn spam will works yet.

Impossible. Just losing the burn means doing 3x less damage. Small Arms means you'll be doing even less than that. With a ~75% reduction in rocket launcher damage output (not sure how big the Small Arms effect on RLs is, but the lack of burn alone means -66%) and Skolas still having 56% of his health, it'll be impossible to Ghorn him before mines.

With Sol Burn G'horn did 300% damage, They would have had to of Dropped Skolas' Health to 90K (instead of 150K) for the old strategy to still be viable. As it was, it was usually cutting it close for a lot of people to get that last bit of damage in before the mines wiped the party.

Skolas effectivly got a 66% health INCREASE.

G'horn is still nice for burning down a target, but when you are in it for the long haul, I'd rather have something like Thunderlord that can take out more adds.

Edit: Someone on Reddit did the math: Pre-Nerf Skolas ate 42 Gally rockets. Post-Nerf Skolas eats 70 Gally rockets.

So the burn is gone? Might try Skolas tonight, since no Gjallarhorn doesn't matter as much.

My 365 LDR with Perfect Balance is ready xD

damn, i wanted to kill skolas today. it seems that i'm not gonna do it soon then.

It'll be a longer fight now, and you won't be able to bypass the mechanics, but it shouldn't be unduly difficult. I mean with fewer ads and no burn making you die in one shot, surviving the whole thing should be perfectly doable.

Pretty sure the intended way to kill Skolas was to run around the arena for twenty minutes, doing damage every once in while, spending most of your time dodging bullets that curve around corners. So in that respect, Bungie fixed the encounter.

Oh I'm all for it. It's a lot more interesting when you play it that way. Running with Horns out to kill him in 30 seconds, or dying 10 billion times during Arc burn hoping for RNG teleport algorithm and mine placement to play nice wasn't fun.

The current design makes him a big sponge with a lot of mechanics to juggle at once as a team. A lot better in my book.

Wow, I was away this morning in meetings, and came back to see a ton of responses to my questions about the Crota raid. Thanks to everyone who responded! Can't wait to run it again (hopefully as a successful swordbearer this time)

I did horn it without burn at the end (my sniper ammo ended... 20 shots) when it has 270k health... the horn did eat his health to death.

42 horns can kill him at 150k health without burn... each horn takes around 4-5k damage without burn.

The math is wrong. Solar Skolas never took more than 35.

The solar horn take about 10-11k damage from Skolas.

Remember the 300% is just about the main rocket damage... not the wolfpacks (I need more tests to be sure).

We can kill Skolas 270k with about 30-32 horns (left 4 of 14 for each player).
