I need a new gun badly. I've grown way too attached to this strangers rifle and I don't dare swap out as I'm so used to it, but it's 10 levels lower than my hunter and I doubt it's gonna do much in the raid.

Nexus farming is an utter waste of time really. About the only thing it is good for is getting rare Engrems to use at the Cryptarch. 1000 kills over 3 tries with Nexus and nothing.
I'm just gonna glimmer farm and hope for the best with the Cryptarchs rewards.
I am * this * close to getting Rank 2 in Vanguard also. Just a bit more bounties and patrols. Can't wait to hit Rank 3. Hope to have a good amount of strange coins also for when that one dude comes back.

I know there are 4 main locations ( venus, titan, moon and russia) but how does it feel? Like are there alot of locations in those places or does it get very repetitive?
I kinda wished the maps were a lot bigger, they seemed small in beta and in game play videos and even kinda linear.

I don't think Bungie has said exactly. My best guess is when the raid goes live everything else will reset at that time.
I kinda lost track, think it was in the salvage 3v3? from a purple engram.

Well, only thing I'm missing from my hunter is legendary gauntlets (Which I'm probably going to get from dead orbit tomorrow whenever I get like 30 more crucible marks) and a legendary heavy weapon. Also have 3 exotic gear too, Scout rifle, hand cannon, and helmet.
And then I'll get my achievement But for now, I'm going to work on a titan defender.

Do the adds in boss fights infinitely respawn?
Sometimes it seems like they stop spawning and I can finally focus on DPSing the boss. There is either a set number of add spawns or they are infinite. Which is it?

Incredibly repetitive but the art and gunplay for me are enough to keep coming back post lv 20.
I'm shocked at how few locations this game has. After playing the beta i would have guessed at least 8-10 zones minimun. There's stuff on mars too FYI.
Mars and Venus both feel pretty large, to me anyways.
I get lost on both pretty routinely still.

Fix that for you. People use auto rifles because PvP is terribly balanced and it is a quick fix for those not fully leveled or stock piling optimal weapons for crucible.
a lot of the add spawns are either timed in set numbers or percentage of bosses health based in set numbers. i don't really think any of them are infinite, with the exception being i can't really figure out the pattern in phogoth's adds in the summoning pits.
the view from the door to the vault of glass is pretty sweet. can't wait to turn around and walk into it tomorrow.

Shoots better. Has some fun pvp. Different artstyle that subjectively looks prettier. Fraction of the content, fraction of the loot, fraction of the bosses, fraction of the enemy types, fraction of the character builds. It manages to have a worse story. The sidequests are boring in comparison, the world seems empty in comparison, Borderlands 2 has more/better social functions.

.It's from the Grimoire. Look up the Cosmodrome one under places, for example. It has ranks you can gain. One of the perks is increased materials from nodes.
You can farm glimmer / spinmetal right next to Public Events. Public Events give Ascendants. I've gotten three or four plus a strange coin from them thus far.

I found it pretty ridiculous that they also added the weekly mission under this "no matchmaking" umbrella. You know, if the higher difficulty included something like dropping three spider tanks at the same time and having every enemy shooting missiles at you then maybe I could see a point behind someone saying "okay lets put this as friends only because randoms can't coordinate well enough" or something.
But all it really did was make me spend 20 extra minutes soloing the mission with my arc damage weapons while being slightly irritated at Bungie.

Hit level 20 yesterday. I really wish this game would explain some of it's shit a little better. I shouldn't have to go to the internet to figure out exactly how to get faction ranks etc. That said, I've really been enjoying the game even if I have yet to team up with anyone for story content (not for lack of trying). I wish they would add matchmaking for that as well. I'm somewhat worried about doing non-Strike Heroic content because of it. If they added Clan tools in-game, they'd alleviate a lot of problems I have with the game which largely just amounts to terrible player communication implementation.
So does anyone know how the Raid will work? Progress in it isn't reset till the weekly reset, correct? How does it keep track of it?
Like, say I open up the Vault of Glass, will I need to be host next time I go into the raid so we're back to where we were before? And if someone else hosted who hadn't started VoG, then we would be at the start?

What?! Legendary Engrams can roll non legendary items? That is absurdly stupid. You should get nothing lower than your engram with a chance of getting one above. Rolling a rarity below just seems unnecessary and cruel.
