For everyone who is in the progress of or completed the Raid, is it worth it in its current "loot" state?
Does anyone think there is a chance the end-raid loot is not working by design and there should be a lot more? Or is the loot that drops from start to 99% completion justify the 10 hours playing it?
Trying to get a sense if it's worth it this weekend or to wait for Bungie to acknowledge the issue either way.

This is the most brilliant thread title since I was making LOST threads every week. Genius.
Bit gutted that my magical awoken warlock with kick ass gear and huge weapons that would level a small planet has to go hunting for bloody plants on Venus tonight instead of killing MoFos.

Me and my team are havijg a great fun in Raid for two past nights.
We have to use the tower for the second boss, but we are dying from laughter all the time when we fail and jumping section was one hour of hilarious laugh due to a fact two of us were constantly falling from the edge in the bellow.
We invested 10 hours so far and we arrived at the Vault yesterday to fight the final boss.
We are simply having mad fun and it is not really a frustration, despite it is hard. We are at LV 27/27/26/26/26/26 and only few have Legendary weapons.
It is matter of attitude and mindset of the group. We decided it will be a fun experience and frustration is almost nonexistant, despite the hard challenge.
I was the worst Guardian ever for example, I couldn't jump on ANYTHING as needed for the whole session. But it was damn funny at the end.
It shouldn't be taken too serious. It is a proper challenge, but it is a game that can be beaten. Coordination is needed and some patience. But it is damn worth experience because of the interaction with Team.

Someone mentioned something about tournament tickets a while back. It sounds like that might have something to do with it. I have no idea though.
So does it kind of just not actually matter what you do post level 20 as long as you're doing something? Some things might be more efficient and have more inevitability because you're getting marks and reputation instead of just drops, but you're kind of okay no matter what you do. You can get rep and drops from doing Patrol missions that put you up against enemies significantly lower than you. Or you can do Strikes that at least guarantee marks and rep, but that requires slightly more focused efforts and depends on other people to not suck. You can even go and do level 10 missions with your buddy that just got the game and still get drops. And during any of these modes you can be working on bounties.
I think the big reason for this is that every enemy in the game, regardless of level, has the same loot table, right? That's why people are grinding out low level guys popping out of a cave in patrol instead of fighting same level guys in the Strikes.
It'd be nice if they made it so bosses or specific strikes had specific loot tables. So if you need a sweet helmet you can go and run The Nexus but if you need chest piece you go to a different zone. There could even be themed loot that obviously came from a boss like a Cabal looking machine gun from the Cerberus strike and was something that obviously dropped off the boss there (though this would require a lot more weapon designs). That'd at least let you direct your efforts instead of trying to find the way to take a shot at as many loot pinatas as possible.

After hitting the level cap at 30 you'll need 100 of each of those to get to the super secret 31st level.

I love it. I want to try a full Support build in Salvage and Control this weekend. Just shield or weapon buffs as often as possible and taking every evolution that generates Orbs of Light for my team which then regenerates my shield and on and on!

RNGesus doth smile upon me this day! That legendary chest engram I got in Crucible whilst playing with cuphead and co last night, I opened this morning, and got monitor type 2 chest armour, another legendary from vanguard! Level 26 is mine! Soon enough, 27! Ready to raid. I got a funky painted hand cannon and a NOYB titan mark alongside them, assumed for being a punchy badass in a few of the games we played.
I've got so many screenshots now to upload, need to find my old flash pen. Still, I'll be working towards vanguard rank 2 as I was saving up for the armada type 3 chest (looks cooler ;p), have more than enough marks so will buy that and dismantle the monitor type 2 for the shards.
All done on bounties for the day again, so if anyone's about and up for the level 26 weekly heroic I'm looking for two to help.

Why does my New Monarchy Titan armour piece look like there's a blade attached to the back of it? This has been bugging me for days now, but it really looks like I should be able to take a blade out and use it as an alternative weapon.

Ugh game just gave me a third exotic bounty. Was forced to take Toland's Legacy since I already completed Shattered Memory Fragment and am currently waiting for Xur to show up so I can continue the Voice machine gun one.

It won't necessarily be as good as you think. PvP is normalised. Whilst you'll get some nice tree skill stats on it, I doubt it'll be massively more powerful. I'm still gunning high level people down using mostly just my Rare weapons.
