I’ve Never…

I never played The Last Of Us Part I and II. And I never will.

  • never got over Sega leaving the console hardware business
  • never bought a Sony console
  • never had any interest in a Sony game except for Fat Princess and Helldivers 2
  • never understood Gears Judgment's lukewarm reception, it's a lovely game that delivers on all fronts a spinoff can deliver on
  • never completed Ultima 4 (wasn't able to), even though I consider it the reference WRPG if there has ever been one

Never played Call of Duty

Have played online shooters like Unreal Tournament to Crysis 2 multiplayer, even enjoyed playing Uncharted 2 online and got into Pro Evo Soccer and driving sims online like iracing and GT.

I loved 2-4 player coop at home or the arcades, it's incredible just how many games there were like Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, TMNT, Bubble Bobble, Gauntlet, Street Fighter, MK, Rampage, Dynamite Dux, many boxing basketball WWF games, it was like crack to us. With online, the glitches, bad mics and bad players and how it feels repetitive and samey no matter what game it is, like it's just never ending matchups on maps like some cold esport I've never stuck with it. I get the appeal and excitement when it was new to play with others online as I recall the days of Quake and Unreal and how it's grown from PC to console and now default for younger gens to play. I guess it's like a replacement for coop but we loved both the coop with people with you and single player story escapism.

Gaming since 1979
Never played a Pokémon game
Never played WOW
Never finished any GTA games
Never played Minecraft
Never completed a Souls/Fromsoft game

I've seen the videos, just not for me!

People do that? Creepy.

I met my best friends through a mutual friend when they needed another for Crotas End in Destiny 1.

They ended up being my groomsmen when I got married

Anyway

-I've never enjoyed Diablo & the likes.
-I've never understood why Monster Hunter with it's clunky arse combat is so popular.

I never understood why anyone that is older than 12 and non-female still likes Nintendo.

I never could get into Uncharted (I think it's terribly designed irt enemy spawns to the point that it completely put me off the series every time I tried it).

- Never got a PS2, nor played pretty much any game of this gen
- Never got over the fact that they cancelled Battlefront III when Disney bought LucasFilm
- Never managed to finish Super Mario 64

Inspired by @rofif admitting he's never played MGS3 or 1… I figured it would be fun to admit some heinous acts you know are cardinal gaming sins.

I'll start with:
-Never completed half life 1 or 2
-Never played more than a hour of any 2D Metroid
-Never played the original Deus Ex or System Shock

Confessions complete for now.
Mine is the same as Rofif (i didn't play any of the MGS games) and never played or had any interest in Final Fantasy.

I've never:

*Understood what the fuss was about the Last of Us, let alone played any of the games, when it was yet another by the book zombie infestation game, give me an uncharted 5 any day instead of that..
*Never sunk myself deeply into turn based RPGS, I never found them least bit interesting, real time combat all the way! (Though I am intrigued by Paper Mario, and Earthbound)
*Never played any of the Pokemon games..

I've never finished a Zelda game. They're undoubtedly fantastic games, but they're just not for me. I can't get into them at all. I've tried Ocarina of Time, Link Between Worlds, Wind Waker, and Breath of the Wild. I've given them a fair shot, I feel.

I was into achievements when I was a 12-year-old teenager. Then I grew out of it. I don't get the thrilling of completing a game for completionist's sake. I only try to do everything out in a game if I REALLY like it, like fucking love it.

It seems rather pointless tbh, especially to show off or something.
