One spot left for Nexus farming(PS4)
PSN: DutchCrusader
I don't have time to explain why I dont have time to explainThe best thing in the entire game is:
"Do you know where the Black Garden is?"
"EVERYONE knows where it is"
*cue stuff*
"Now tell us where the Black Garden is!"
"They don't know where it is XD"
Just like....what?
Anyone else find the time of day dramatically impacts crucible difficulty?
If I play in the morning eat I beast and am top 2 every time. At night I'm usually lucky to even be 1.0 k/d aand at the bottom.
Or even more rep. I agree with you, though. The top players should not be guaranteed better loot on account of their performance. I think the random drop system currently in place, as everyone has a fair chance of getting loot regardless of their skill level.I don't even think folks who place top regularly in PvP need a legendary drop.
I wouldn't mind getting extra marks for doing especially well in PvP.
I'll probably eat some major crow for posting sentiments similar to yours in past threads, but I think relying on farming and luck is not the way to play Destiny unless you want to make yourself miserable.
Lucky enough to be WORLD FIRST in the raid? Then congrats. With the way loot works, I can't say Bungie cares too much about that. However, I do think Bungie wants us to get our marks and reputations up. The moment we get our reps up, we'll be able to buy legendaries at an somewhat-weekly basis. If I were you, I'd go for what's guaranteed over what's random. Destiny's loot is so RNG based, I don't think it's wise to even try to game it.

Raids are actually going to drop good gearThe progression in this game post-20 is... kind of messed up. I don't mind RNG elements for advancing armor and such. I play Monster Hunter for God's sake. But at least in Monster Hunter I'm making progress towards something, even if I don't end up with what I'm grinding for. A different armor set, some stuff to sell, some coins in the case of the arena. In this game I feel like I'm spending about half an hour each strike just for a couple hundred glimmer that I can't spend on anything. The entire point of grinding is to feel like you're working towards something. I feel like I just wasted a bunch of time. If the point is to ignore all that PVE stuff and play PVP repeatedly like every other arena shooter, what was the point of the strike playlists?
I know I'm going to do this Raid next week and come out the other end with some level 16 green Cydonia AR3. Maybe a blue engram that will turn into some uncommon garbage. I'm counting on it.

It's bungie's baby

actually I thought I was unfortunate, there are people with less time spent and much better gear
I actually feel like there's always something to do. Shit, even just killing Dregs will eventually level you up to get better rewards from killing dregs thanks to Grimoire leveling.
What's RNG mean?
Forgive my ignorance :\
Charged us like it was a finished game... I guess as long as they don't charge us more... Lol nm.Give it time. This game is not an end product like every reviewer would have the un-educated gaming masses to believe. I firmly believe this game is going to evolve into something big by the end of it's life cycle.
what? never heard of that
So who from the Bungie devteam is/are the person(s) responsible for making Lv20+ progressing entirely dependent on randomness? For fuck's sake man.

Most of us don't have the rep and coins yet but with time you can just buy the legendaries you need from the vendors and eventually you'll accrue coins for Xur for exotics. I missed out this time but I'll definitely have enough to get one next week. There are safe guards for those unlucky people. For the moment, gearing is RNG
So is anyone else really enjoying the Patrols?
I know it is a bit pointless, but I love just tooling around the environment picking up some small tasks/quests and then just exploring. The worlds are beautiful and do seem pretty large.
I just wish I had a map so I could sort of track the spots I have been and set waypoints and such.
Destiny hasn't blown my mind, but I am really enjoying it still!
I'm not going to defend anyone here but those comments are not that great. This is how Destiny reviews read to me:

I realize that the story is a jigsaw puzzle and the spaces are re-used, but I think these may be actual deliberate design decisions. I think we will see the game transform on the fly and much of these concerns will melt away, which is why I think the review scores are overly harsh. You don't score a stellar action game a 6 because of a throwaway story or a disjoint mission structure. This was a political response to a marketing juggernaut from reviewers who were understandibly annoyed to be put in a tough spot (reviewing after launch).
By better rewards he means "give more glimmer when using items that increase their glimmer drop rate".
That's what getting the kill ranks for enemies does.
If you fill up the kill ranks for a planet you get more material drops from the nodes. I now get at least 2 spinmetal every time in russia. sometimes up to 4-5.
Late to comment on thread title but I lol'ed
After playing all weekend and loving every second of it to come back to the forum and see so much hate is jarring.
Anyways is the Nexus farming considered a exploit or is it legit? Hate to get banned.
The xbox one achievement app doesn't show progress towards Destiny achievements like other games show. They just pop when you hit the number. I guess it's a bug?
I feel so awkward when it seems like a vast majority act like the game is atrocious, yet I'm having tons of fun soloing the story missions, and even going back to Old Russia and just dicking around doing nothing in particular.
Of course, I did get some rare encrypted engrams that turned into uncommons, so I get that complaint now.
Patrols are a great way to level up your rep if you have a party of 3 that's willing to split up to take down the annoying compass and ghost missions. Make sure to get your max number of marks. So is anyone else really enjoying the Patrols?

I'll be online at 3:00 PM EST today of anyone is interested in the Nightly Strike. (PS4)
For Raid, anyone in need of a Titan Defender? That's the subclass I'm going in as for the raid.
I fucking love this game.
People just like to act like kids sometimes. They love the game too or they wouldn't compain so loud.
