1) You need to have 3 pieces of raid gear and an exotic, all fully upgraded to reach level 30.

2) Do public events, buy legendary armor from Vanguard, Crucible, & Faction vendors then dismantle them, do the raid, do nightfall, etc.

raid gear im assuming is different then legendary/exotic? didnt even know that was a thing... great lol. im one more upgrade away from lvl 28.

Holy crap. Just finished my first VoG run aaaand... got nothing but the shader. We actually killed him post-mortem with sunsinger grenades (set him on fire). It started the countdown to fail us, and then froze up. Everyone got the shader and some got weapons, but we couldn't get to the results screen...I think we should get an award for that.

Shoutout to Colonel_Skills, pmpjuice123, Wearethearmada, PrettyBad, and Aphex26 for an awesome run!

I've been doing that for like 2 weeks since finishing the story. I am probably only playing an hour a day or so though. I work like 80 hours a week so I can't really do any more than that. I don't have enough time to make Destiny a part-time job, which is what I don't think Bungie understands. I have put 38 hours into this game, I feel like I should be able to buy the damn armor I want (and need to progress the game).

Thorn doesn't really seem to be worth the amount of work it took to get. Just seems kinda underwhelming. It really needs that buff.

Same with Bad Juju (exotic pulse rifle), also getting that buff, thank Bungie. It's way worse than my legendary pulse rifle. The magazine is so tiny I fear even when I fully upgrade it I'll be switching back to my legendary. Ugh.

Raid gear are legendaries, but they allow you to upgrade each piece to more light than a typical legendary does.

Also, another note, grenades do full damage even when time's revenge is not active! Go nuts!

Anyone got a Lucky Chest during a patrol since the last patch ?

I'm talking about those rare chests which contain 200+ glimmer, 10+ materials, a couple of blue engrams and/or ammo synthesis.

I've patrolled for several hours since the patch, must have opened more than a hundred chests but it's all the same single green crappy gear + 1 or 2 material.

I assume they quietly nerfed that, like the cryptarch leveling bullshit.

There's nothing new in game and each expansion is only 9.5 mbs. Also I own the expansion pass already.

Since they're only 9.5MB it sounds like you only downloaded the 'key' to unlock the content.

It stands to reason that due to Destiny's 'Shared-World' aspect that the actual content from these expansions will be downloaded through an update at some point in the future so that every player has the data on their console.

If there are any 26s or lower in your squad it's gonna be a really tough fight. Since the mobs are all 28 those 26s are barely doing any damage.

By then i had both the pvp and vanguard unlocked. Weapons took longer.

You just need to make sure everyone is aware of the strategy and you get the teamwork down. "get gud" is actually all that can be said as other than learning the strat and performing it well, you have no other choice.
