Is this just a generic, non elemental shield they throw on enemies to make it arbitrarily harder? If I shoot him with my primary, I can literally not lower his shield fast enough, despite having a 280 attack weapon. Are scout legendaries all this garbage? It fucking blows, I can't solo shit.

The Knights have arc shields. Psions always get void. Shanks get solar. These are the adds that get shields on epic

That entrance is likely in The Forgotten Shore, Bunker RAS-2. I've glitched into the Vault a ton of times and there's nothing in that map that feeds into the Grottos, but I can't say I've seen everything either so who knows.

And the fact that these areas that are pretty fleshed out (and some even populated) but locked behind a paywall still rubs me the wrong way. Seems extremely cynical even by Acti's standards.

I'd say that the system they've created doesn't respect the time you put into it. I'm not burning myself out or anything, and I can say that I've really enjoyed what I've played to an extent, but I definitely don't feel like this game respects anything that I do in it. "Oh, you sunk 4 hours in it today? Cool story. Here's a Mote. Try not to spend it all in one place *snicker*".

It'll be interesting to see how Strike/Raid group requests will continue in this thread as October and November releases get under way. My bet is that there'll be a sharp drop-off until the expansion in December, which I suppose is fine, but it really brings into question what kind of legs this thing'll have going forward.

First you gotta level up your alts in order to be able to actually beat the daily, though. Thanks to the Grimoire XP bonuses it will be faster than the first time, but it will still take a while.
 
I have a level 29 warlock. Can I create another Warlock, get him to 20 and then just share the armour between my warlocks via the vault?

No problem, man, it was fun! Quick question though-did you hear me talking at all? I did some fucking around with my headset and I think I figured out why I couldn't hear you guys, but I wanted to make sure the output was alright too.
 
So if i'm only lvl 21 but have friends above that, could they bring me into their games to do the Queens Wrath events???

I really need those two pieces of gear before this thing ends.

Yep. Just make sure you have the Queen's mission tokens so you get credit for completing it.

They can but you need to have Queen tickets to get the Queen drops

I was preparing to ask this too. I'm Level 23, but was slaughtered easily in one mission.
I could use some help. I already have 10 tickets sitting in my inventory, but will settle for two rewards today.

Correct, just make sure you have completed as many bounties for the queen as mission runs you want to do.
 
I'm dying for a decent void special weapon. All I have are fire exotics and void blues. There's a void fusion rifle from pvp, but I'm not even rank 2 yet. =/

if you don't like the queen stuff then there is no point. unless you want to use the exp from bounties to level up your weapons.

I'm not a Hunter but the IB cloak design is badass.

There is a sniper rifle (and ship) as a possible reward, but largely there is none. It's useful for new players and alts.

77 Wizard is beastly. If you don't hate PvP I recommend getting to Crucible 2 for it, as it's very worthwhile.
 
3 strikes in a row and people depart right at the beginning of the strike. Is there a reason for this? seems too common to be just people leaving because they accidentally went to a new strike after countdown.

getting loaded up on info and some of this will probably be in a tips and tricks post but here are some quick PSAs:

  1. The Queen's Wrath event ends today. If you have an alt anywhere near 21, get there and see about getting carried through a few queen's kill missions. The Helm and chest, along with blue gauntlets and boots, upgraded will get you to 26.
  2. The guaranteed engrams from the Tiger strike playlist are useful in some unexpected ways. If you turn them in in bulk (no need to worry about your inventory as everything goes to the postmaster), you're likely to get a few strange coins and motes of light. In addition, you can put them in the bank to give to an alt to decrypt. It appears the lowest level Rare gear is 10. I decrypted a handful of engrams on my Warlock at 8, and when I turned 10 I had a full set of excellent blue gear waiting. I will be using this method to get some blue slots filled post-20 as well. You can also just give these to alts to dismantle for their upgrade parts.
  3. This one's old news, but remember when you create an alt, you can immediately switch to the second subclass if you want to level it from the very beginning. I spent 5 levels of XP on Voidwalker even though I want to level Sunsinger first because I forgot to swap.
  4. Hawkian, your messages, guides, and PSA's are seriously appreciated. As someone who only has time to check in with the OT once every other day or so, your summaries really help out. I often check out your recent posts to know what's going on.

I got to focus on getting those extra queen event items tonight! I didn't know about the blue items! Currently just have the helm..

Is it related to Mars? No one wants to keep doing those strikes. They take so long.
 
Did every PVE Queen's Wrath bounty since the beginning and ended up 400 or so rep from rank 3. :( Also did all my kill orders (3-5 a day) and got four sniper rifles by the end but no ship. My RNG laughs at me.
