I thought Bungie chose what to sell. It really comes off as something random, or at least, extremely troll-ish. The guy has been selling the same titan armor for the past 3 weeks ffs. Suros was sold, PvP destroyed: the solution isn't nerfing said gun, no, let's nerf ALL auto rifles. Then after all this, they decide to troll us and put it on sale *again*, for shits and giggles. This week's weapon is pretty good and at least is new. Sucks for those who already have one, but that happens to all of us.
Maybe they should give him something else to sell. Amulets. Something that would raise your chance of something dropping in the Vault, for like, 3 coins. Buy the Epilogue amulet, use it before killing Atheon, profit. Or the Raid Boots amulet, I dunno. At this point I'm willing to accept any wacky scheme to avoid the loot randomness as much as possible, This game is addictive but in the same way casinos are: you keep playing hoping to get something real good, not necessarily cause you're enjoying yourself. Most people I know go online only to clear the daily, then they stay for those 2 bounties, then something drops and they wanna level it up. Then someone invites them for the Raid and there goes another hour. They hold people hostage to their greed (I'm a victim of this) who hate to see those 2 materials go to waste if they skip destiny for that day. If you have an Alt, double the problems. There are somedays where I really don't feel like playing Destiny but still pop in just to get my 4 mats from 2 alts and then leave.
I feel this is exactly what they want us to do, that's why this is a grindy system. The game seemed better a year ago, when they said everygun would have gun levels and you would use talent points instead of grinding for 30 kinds of boring materials. Yesterday I had to grind for 60something filaments. It was boring. I dunno why I keep playing.

Poor Xur and the hate he's getting. He clearly says, "my will is not my own". His asshole of a boss is just making him sell all the overstock before he can bring anything else.

Its sort of worthless right now. Its already not the easiest gun to convert crits with. I know guns that take less skill than this one, so why the nerf anyway. For PvP sure, but PvE suffers as well? come on.

I don't think there is any reason for me to get P&T, I'm a hunter that can cloak easily and I have Ice Breaker already. I guess Xur isn't getting my coins this week, maybe some motes to try to get Knucklehead.

Don't be too greedy.
Snipe him from the entrance, like 3/4 shots before he notices you and starts shooting at you, then turn around and wait for the minotaur, kill him, backtrack a bit to lose the boss' aggro, rinse, and repeat.

Ice Breaker has shitty gameplay compared to Patience and I know I'm going to love it in Arc Burn events.
Only thing that damned boring IB has is ammo regen. Sort of wish they actually nerf that, and decrease pack cooldowns. Its mostly why I still switch to IB now and then.

I hope I've established myself as an enemy of RNG-based progression.
That said, the corollary of this is that while what you said is true, you can get to 29 without any randomness involved, and a very controlled/predictable time and effort investment.
yeah. a pure sequential rotation would mean that if you missed something in the weapon slot it would be 11 weeks until you had the chance to buy it again.

I'm doing the 26 because the 28 was just too nuts. I'm at the last checkpoint and was trying to do the "shoot at Nexus then turn around and shoot the Minotaur" thing from the upper cave.Tough without additional eyes or ears.
If anyone could pop on for 5 minutes of work and help me out, I would be most thankful, and I hope RNG gives you nice presents. I'm eyeing those 6 coins and a little P&T action.
If you've already done the 8, I guess you might only get drops - but I would bow in your general direction.

They only dissapear once you have completed them, so you can drop them and pick them up again at the tower later.

I'm doing my sixth exotic bounty right now (Thorn, second time. Still haven't gotten the Fate of all Fools bounty), and I pretty much always hand in several bounties at once, usually at least three.
I don't have any evidence to support this, but my guess is that each bounty you turn in increases the chance of getting offered an exotic bounty. Like, it starts at 0%, and each bounty increases the chance by 0.5% or so, up to a certain limit. Receiving an exotic bounty would reset the chance again.
I don't know, it's just a theory.

It does seem uncanny how many duplicates people get. Individuals I play with tend to get the same things multiple times. I've played lots of RNG games and had certain items evade me, never have I noticed so many duplicates. Perhaps a testament to the more limited pool of potential rewards compared to other RNG based games?

FWIW- I had no luck fighting the nexus from the top ledge. I much prefer the cheese spot at the opposite end of the room.
I jump down and take out the minos with a void fusion then run to the opposite end of the room from the entrance and find a skinny pillar next to one of the two tall arches freestanding back there. Jump from the skinny pillar to the top of the left arch (left according to coming in from the entrance).
The key to success up here is to stand in the low part of the top of the arch, but scooted a little bit back from the cover without scooting too far back. This is to avoid splash from bullets hitting the front of your cover and ones hitting the wall behind you.
Periodically drop some rockets on the adds gathering below you while jumping up to shoot some sniper at Nexus's eye. Rinse repeat. Don't get greedy.

I never liked Hand Cannons, but I just tried the Last Word in PVP after getting the accuracy and stability upgrades...dear God. This weapon will wreck if Xur ever sells it.

Not unprecedented. Heart of the Praxic Fire (AKA coolest chest armor for female characters) does it too, 210 ammo capacity.
I love combining my Heart of the Praxic Fire with my Vex Mythoclast.
