Here's a chart I made a while back. Hopefully it helps to those who are confused by it all.

Curious, but how does one actually obtain the VIP in-game rewards? I purchased the digital CE edition a month or so ago (and have been loving the game) on the Xbox, but I never received any exotics, shaders, etc. Do you have to do something specific?

You can, make sure you download the game and or expansions through ps4 store (if no download option is available it is already done)
Once the ps4 store logs that you have them (makes no fucking sense) you can the pre order the taken king digital version.

I had too do this, many have this problem and many do not know how to get round it.


Go to your settings on ps4, go into account settings and one of the options there tzkes you to stuff you have bought and pre ordered.
It is shit to find the item you are after you have to click on each one too see what they are.

So torn. I was waiting for this edition to hit so I could buy, but now I'm trying to figure out if I want the $60 or $80 version. I have a 20% coupon, so it's an actual difference of $16.

Glad I waited (why preorder a digital game anyway right?) but I'm still waiting on the story/structure improvements before buying this. Raids mean nothing to me, but if they've improved the rest of the game I might bite.

Raids, PvP and Arenas are the most fun thing in the game. If you're buying it for the single player content, that's a short and sweet (and short) ride. I'd be disappointed without the raids, and other end game content.

Huh?? The Digital CE for Year 1 owners for $60.. I didn't see that on PSN... :/

Or would that be buying the CE goodies separately for $20? I could get behind that... (or not bother)

So, Legendary Edition - included in PS4 Destiny TTK Limited Edition Bundle - include CE items or not?

Because on the box it says "Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade"?

Also, this on the Blog:

feel the base Digital TTK upgrade is too expensive wish it was more $30/25 (makes me annoyed I brought the collectors edition last time, considering how much they charged for the DLC).

Also does anyone know If I end up buying the Digital TTK Upgrade do I have to use the Destiny disk or can I just run it digitally? (had the disc version for the original Collectors edition)

I just wish the could send me the physical CE stuff by mail and gave me the codes I need for TTK and the other stuff so I can play day 1.

IMO both at the same time. Depending on the quality of the physical goodies $80 seems cheap for the contents. I just wish they would have made a version of that for old players.

The Digital CE seems like a rip-off for the differences.

You need to have both DLCs to be able to just buy TTK at $40.

So it'll be $20 for the missing DLC and $40 for TTK.

That's the same price as the digital Legendary Edition.

to be fair, Destiny is probably Bungies last game as they've agreed a 10 year cycle for it

I cant seem to find where to buy the Xbox 360 Digital version of Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition.

PS3/PS4/XBO are up but not the 360 version. Is it even available?

might not be the right thread, but if i have the eu disc destiny+expansions and want to a) go digital and b) get much cheaper upgrades in the future, can i delete my current install, get the full destiny+tdb+how+ttk from us psn and just login on my regular eu psn account and continue to play the game, my account and everything intact?

Soooooo......I have the pyhsical Destiny disc. Both digital expansions.

If I want to go all digital, and get the sparrow, shader and year one emblem, do I have to order the digital CE edition or can I get the digital Legendary edition?
Edit: Also, is the LE digital only available from the Playstation store? Could not seem to find it at BB or Amazon.

This is what I'm planning on doing, I think the answer is it will work just fine but hopefully someone can confirm?
