lol people still force this fake ass lie?
Just stop man, the game started development in 2012, it was literally fucking made around those systems and even the features they failed to meet, are shit from PS2 era features. If anything, how come titles from even before the PS4 era can do this CP2077 fails to do? You telling me we needed PS6 to have smart NPCs that understand how to walk and move and shit, we need PS8 to have a train system or? The things removed, scrapped or just complete lies by this team, are features that literally exist in other games and have for generations for this excuse to be "gimped due to having run on PS4"
I don't even know if any of you can name 1 feature that is in ths game, that just 100% could not be done on PS4 or something lol How the fuck do you even explain all the open world games on PS4 and XONE that DON'T have this games fucking issues?
Shit, how do you even explain on PS5 and Series X...you STILL don't have those features returning in some update?
So "PS4" is to blame on why those features are not there, PS5 and Series X and PC too or? So the fucked up on this games development, they had a small team trying to force features that they have no real history of actually doing, trying to cut corners by not actually hiring enough to really pull this off and then tried to blame fans, hardware and all this other shit on the game missing a laundry list of features
You telling me this here is because PS4? What about everyone else that didn't have their game doing this on PS4 or even PS3 or PS2? lol
Nothing is going on in this game that actually really addresses why it has all those issues other then poor, shoddy development. Even if you argue something about the hardware, no one fucking forced them to use PS4 and I don't even know how that becomes the topic of this games fucking issues when those issues exist on PS5, Series X and PC, thats like saying we need the 5090 to run...no, we need the 6090 to really, really...REALLLLLY run it, as if we didn't have NPCs that understood they existed for decades in other games or something.
Thats like me telling you BF 2042 NEEDED PS5 to have a scoreboard =) So yes, PS5 is more powerful then PS4, but the scoreboard existed in past BF titles, thus....no one is out here making such a silly claim, stop pretending this games issues are "PS4" or "XONE" issues when games prior to that generation, did the features this game was missing. Its a poor, laughable excuse.
Played on PC on release as well, was able to complete it with little issues. But the game was boring as fuck. They still haven't fixed that bug.We get it. You need to express hatred towards Cyberpunk 2077 in order to achieve an erection. I played it day 1 on PC and it was fine, I had like three visual glitches during my entire playthru on the initial release version. It's no ones fault except your own that you were playing on a piece of shit technologically outdated underpowered console.
Gta and rdr games are some of the most simplistic embarassing excuses of 'gameplay' I've ever scene. Rockstar are great when it comes to presentation. And they have the money to polish their games as long as is necessary. They have nothing else. This is not a comparison.Grand Theft Auto IV and V's open worlds, when analyzed as virtual simulations of urban environments, are infinitely better than Cyberpunk's - from physics, to NPC behaviors, day/night and weather instances, open-world systems, to the actual level design of the city and the way it was all efficiently streamed in the background. And those GTA games were made for the PS3 and 360.
Had CDPR been as technologically proficient as Rockstar or had they made good use out of their five years of pre-production, they would have been able to make Cyberpunk work as perfectly as RDR2 on last-gen consoles.

I'm not comparing the gameplay of GTA/RDR to Cyberpunk here, but the complexity of the open-world simulation and of all the systems within it. In that regard, Rockstar games are miles ahead of CDPR's work, for instance, something as small as that the traffic actually flows properly in GTA IV/V and reacts accordingly to accidents or the player's interference.Gta and rdr games are some of the most simplistic embarassing excuses of 'gameplay' I've ever scene. What improved was performance and graphics. Terrible AI, lack of interactivity, lack of systems within the game, and more are not there. And they won't be ever there except maybe for modders.Cyberpunk still sold pretty well overall. Don't know why people are giving this game a hard time. The developers have greatly improved the game over time.
It was their first attempt at a new genre. Sometimes you need a sequel to really improve and achieve your goals as you learn from your mistakes.
Oh fuck, we're screwed.US developer is the worst possible news.
If this doesn't play as a Deus Ex GTA, they can get fucked.

The PC version still is missing all the things they promised though....The pc version had few issues at launch.
Yet are more functional and have more gameplay functions then Cyberpunk, Cyberpunk 2077 is literally struggling at times to meet GTA III features like NPC behaviors, a working train system, or cops knowing how to drive cars and chase after you...Gta and rdr games are some of the most simplistic embarassing excuses of 'gameplay'
You should never have played a game of this caliber on PS4.
What a bad faith post. I'm supposed to believe you don't understand the concept of version parity and limited processing power? They can't put gameplay features not available on PS4 on pc. If they wanted to, they would have had to plan for it from the start and detail the difference in their marketing. The PS4 version was treated as the premier version so the pc version couldn't be an entirely different game. The PC version still is missing all the things they promised though....
its why you are focusing on "issues" while ignoring all the missing features in this game =)

So I don't know how you wish to create a believable city and world, yet the people do no behave like people in situations where it would make sense to do so. That isn't a GTA or Red Dead or Watch Dogs thing, that is something anyone would expect from a game telling us they are in a city with humans that drive and shoot.
Those features are missing on PC, PS5 and many more though so....
I don't know what to tell you, but you trying your best to ignore the laundry list of feature missing from this game, simply sounds like your view on it is too personal for anyone to take seriously as your bias is just too strong. I bought the game day 1, but my view would be the same regardless if I got it on PS4, PC, PS5 etc, the things wrong with the game.....the issues like bugs are the tip of the ice berg, the real issue with the game is how shallow, unfeatured and stripped the world is of any life, logical activities you'd expect to find in a city and the NPCs don't even behave like something from a PS2 game.
At this point, if you tell use the sequel has AI that can drive, chase after you, fly in the sky, it would be a huge bonus to this world, yet shit....they are now aiming for GTA III from 2001 for their sequel then, I don't really know how that makes them more talented then Rockstar. They are chasing a concept from 20 plus years ago and struggling doing it. So if the likes of Ubisoft say they wish to have a open world game in the future, they've already done those features that CDPR couldn't do in so many games, it sounds like this concept can be pulled off better by those that actually fucking already did it successfully.

Now as for the actual issues, the core gameplay system itself has more systemic depth to it.Coming from witcher 3, cdpr is obviously capable of simulating believable npcs to the level of other open world devs. So the conclusion I made was that they had to utilise the limited resources they had to keep their rpg systems running and didn't have any leeway for any in depth npc simulation. It's fucking stupid to think they are 'not capable' of pulling off npc routines. It's reasonable to think they were rushed to release an unfinished game, but I don't believe they were. If they pushed it out the door, it's likely the problems were unsolvable on PS4 without drastic redesign.
Keep the same incredible map and city, offer up more explorable buildings, new zones but fer fucks sake make it more alive, make it an actual game world

Well there you have it from the devs themselves. They are adding the features that were promised to the base game with phantom liberty. And they specifically stated they are able to do this because they let go of older consoles due to more memory available. I was right after all. That is a lot of excuses for shit other games had no issues doing, stop making excuses for this team man... I bought it day 1, I wish they where able to pull off the features found in other games by better developers, but it wasn't so. I don't believe anything regarding its release as they chose to rush it out, they had years to develop it and made a choice to lie to people about a ton of features.
At this point, I can't even say it was even "unfinished" as that is to even entertain there ever was an intent to even release the product that was even being marketed years ago. Some of those elements may have never even existed or something. I simply don't see any evidence that the PS4 or XONE has to do with some redesign, on a fucking game that started development in 2011, it simply makes no sense and the developer is to blame from the very start. They choose those systems, it was their design and they watched countless developers put out open world games, in cities, with AI and NPCs that could drive cars and working train systems to really pretend as if PS4 and XONE is really the issue.
Tons of working, functional open world games that released on those platforms say otherwise. I hope its sequel really does have all those features as I doubt you hate the idea of those features being in this game or something, you merely can bring yourself to acknowledge the game would have been better with what was promised vs what was stripped.
^^^ So.....I'm not the only one that feels this way. The game felt like half an idea, it felt like it didn't even fucking belong in that generation, as in it was PS1 level design type stuff as even PS2 titles had working train systems and NPCs that could fly, drive boats, planes etc Putting a game out on new systems or trying to only market graphics can only get any developer so far, they still need logical and functional design.
As it stands, Watchdogs does a better job at this concept then Cyberpunk 2077 and I like the setting MORE of Cyberpunk, but I'm a gamer first, there still needs to be functional working parts that re-enforce the narrative. Aden hacks, thus can turn out the lights of the city, turn red lights into green, hack the WORKING train system and have cops go after him because of it from land, air and sea. They are not just merely fucking TELLING you he is this or that, the game's functions support this is what the city actually is, not merely some "lore" or something someone is merely "saying" as with Cyberpunk. You felt like you heard more about shit happening in the world, then actually seeing that shit happen in real time. Like the mission with the corrupt cops, this is literally an idea that easily can be expressed in the open world, not merely tied to a single mission. So I do hope Cyberpunk's sequel is able to correct those missing elements to have it catch up to the rest of modern gaming in regards to design, cause this idea can only help the IP.
Who here is really saying they want zero cops driving or bad guys, no boats, less AI, keep the NPCs dead and dumb etc? They missed the market big time and playing Watchdogs 1 over again, I realize that game basically does a better job with its entire world and concept eons better then Cyberpunk.
Read above. They were unable to implement them cos they ran out of memory, just as I said. Their core gameplay systems took up too much resources to manage city rockstars simulation. Not trying to burst your bubble mate, but you are completely ignoring the argument and facts beeing presented to you and calling it "bad faith" , you should first try and say why those features that exist in several open world games (the ones already mentioned) since the ps3 era arent possible on ps4/xone version of cyberpunk 2077 and then you can call it bad faith or whatever you want, but right now you are strawmaning big time not adressing direct this points.
Hilarious, you mean the shit you tried to pretend wasn't a big deal, you are now trying to pretend is a big deal? shock /sWell there you have it from the devs themselves. They are adding the features that were promised to the base game with phantom liberty
right? About what? You never even tried to address those exact features actually missing that exist in other titles generations prior.because they let go of older consoles due to more memory available. I was right after all.
^^^you are completely ignoring the argument and facts beeing presented to you and calling it "bad faith" , you should first try and say why those features that exist in several open world games
They were unable to implement them cos they ran out of memory,
The fact that such attention to detail when it comes to the overall open-world simulation is not there in Cyberpunk doesn't speak of a lack of processing power from last-gen platforms but of CDPR's faults as a developer
Nah no open world game has the level of rpg gameplay with the dense openeorld that cyberpunk has. The likes of gta and red dead are simplistic in comparison. Deus ex comes close but it's world is much smaller and doesn't have a simulated npc system either except the most basic combat routines. You are trying to ignore the fact that memory is limited. Either cdpr could make a simplistic open world shooter the likes of gta, or they could make Deus ex level rpg with a much larger scope, and better looking. They succeeded at the latter. When phantom liberty comes out you'll have you proof that they also know how to make npc simulation systems better than other devs.Hilarious, you mean the shit you tried to pretend wasn't a big deal, you are now trying to pretend is a big deal? shock /s
right? About what? You never even tried to address those exact features actually missing that exist in other titles generations prior.
Keep in mind, I wasn't the only one that noticed you trying to ignore that
^^^
That sounds like a them problem then, not PS4 or XONE or any 1 system or something, many open world games exist, that understand how to use memory and this game was in development since 2011 with PS4 and XONE in mind.
If anything, this supports that it was indeed CDPR themselves that had issues on features clearly fucking feasible in an open world game. So if they ran out of memory, maybe they should have focused on working on a functional game first and foremost as we have too many games that can do more features then what they promised for generations, to believe it was PS4 and XONE that were the real issues, too many open world game beg to differ
^ This. They could have scaled things back 100x and had a functional game and I would be praising them right now, instead they struggled to add basic PS2 level features based on not knowing how to manage memory. That is not the fault of hardware, its the fault of the developer not understanding the core importance of the actual concept.
This is one of the few times I'd agree withDanjin44 where the focus on graphics, marketing and trying to hype the game, made the core elements suffer if they choose to get rid of actual functional elements to instead use the memory for window dressing.
Nintendo
Rockstar
Ubisoft
Sony's teams and many more don't do shit like this as to why they make functional open worlds. The game must come first, so this memory excuse is based on the team's issues, but we've been talking about this teams problems for years for any of this to be some surprise for anyone lol
