All of the Triangle unlocks that are youtube videos are like this for me in the app, unfortunately. Super stuttery and choppy, barely listenable. Every time I find a triangle I pray that it's a soundcloud one since those work fine.
I'm in the middle of Golem City and i feel like I might have spent to much time in Prague before hand. im Feeling a little fatigued possibly. I heard that it ends a little abruptly so I've really really been taking my time. I think i might have over done it.
I'm right there with you and I'm not even that far. Exploring Prague kinda burnt me out on everything else. Doesn't help that I played HR last week either.
I'll try playing some more tomorrow but I may just drop it and play again in a few months or something, hopefully not years like I did with HR.
Ugh I'm frustrated as hell right now. Mission 13 spoilers
At the GARM facility, I can CLEARLY see where the killswitch is, behind that locker, but I can't fucking get to it. And I don't know where the security computer is so I have to keep EMPing the camera in that room. Can anybody help me get this damn thing?!
You're supposed to pick up the kill switch during the final mission on your way to get Marchenko, unless there's another kill switch with which I'm not familiar?
Wow, the mission area past golem city is incredibly large. Like 2.5 full maps to traverse. I wish I didn't pack so much of my gear, because it feels like I have to be very restrictive about what I loot.
Do I still have access to this large area when I am done, or is it an automatic teleport out of there?
Why are all NPCs in TF29 headquarters saying that the station was "attacked" a second time by an augmented agent and blaming me for it? How can it be my fault that all those police officers slept on the job, lost their gear and woke up neatly stacked in vents? No alarms went off, no red alert states and concussive memory loss should have taken care of the rest.

Try a car outside the building where the high end weapon merchant resides.
No game does not let you return to previous mission areas outside from the bombed out train station just because thats part of the metro system. Anything that you need to be flown to its one and done.

Can somebody explain to me why when I am fully cloaked and in front of an enemy and I do a headshot with a silenced weapon, everyone who is in proximity (but who is not in my line of sight) becomes alerted??
This really pisses me off because it makes zero effin sense.
I am cloaked and I shoot with a silenced weapon. What? The enemy has the time to call an alert from the moment I press the trigger (and I de-cloak) until the bullet reaches his head??

I accidentally killed the arms merchant in the apartment complex down the street where the TF29 HQ is also located. How fucked am I? I was stomping through a wall somewhere and apparently got the merchant and his goons alerted. I assumed they were just random Dvali redsuits so when they started shooting, I wiped them out. Then one of them turns out named and I was fuuuu I done goofed:|.

It depends. Do you intend to abuse the game systems and get 100k in currency fast? The high end arms dude is kind of important for that, because he gives a lot more for the guns you trade in than other merchants. Other than that, you are not fucked at all. The game will probably be more fun and better balanced if you get less credits.

Good to know, I was afraid I might miss out on unique items or quests, but if that's not the case, then no worries. I'm actually staying away from a lot the game offers since it becomes just too easy (remote hacking, I'm looking at you). I go into most missions pretty bare-bones with equipment. As with some of the side ops in MGSV I usually have more fun sneaking around without employing an arsenal of weapons and gadgets.
There's always second time through to Hulk out on everything
Haha, never mind...I was confusing Marchenko with Gunther Hermann for some reason. Your post made me go back and look it up, I thought they were letting the player alter the timeline.
Is anyone else frustrated by the fact that you can find an email from Marchenko to the bomber basically telling him to do his thing? It's in what I can only assume is the bomber's aprtment in the slums. Like that would be more than enough suspicion based on Jensen's initial encounter with Marchenko to have the guy arrested. That one email and a punch of the other emails you can find in the ARC area should really be more than enough to grab the guy.
If emails could be used as evidence or if the game was reactive to information you find from emails a lot of people would be behind bars including Page, Reed, Manderley etc.

The one flaw with newer DX games. You could at least confront characters (or outright kill them) in the original game and have it change some aspects of the story.
Man, I completed this game thinking I'd get Foxiest of Hounds. It didn't pop, I replayed the last chapter twice and now I'm playing New Game+ wondering where the hell I went wrong. I'm 99% I didn't set off any alarms, I reloaded whenever an alarm was raised during my first playthrough so I'm so confused. Very happy to speed run through again with my current augs though, should be a breeze this time around.
Oh and dat
end-credit reveal tho
. I knew that
psychiatrist was fishy
.
Can't wait for the DLC, has anyone tried Breach yet?
I also kind of miss the office locations from HR like Picus and Sarif headquarters where the emails felt a lot more organic than what's seen here (though the Picus underground emails laid it on real thick with the conspiracy angle). There's still very good material here and in some cases more substantial but a lot of the times the emails and pocket secretaries felt like password dispensers.
I hate that instead of pointing to the final destination, it shows the next checkpoint on the main path. If you do some alternate route, it just shows bullshit.
So couple of questions:
Just got the "unlocked" augmentations.
How does remote hacking work? Can I hack everything? Do I need to have the appropriate hacking skill?
Can you beat the game without ever getting into a firefight with bosses? That was a huge problem in HR prior to the DC. Do you have to "kill" them?

This is me, I played around 20 hours before going to Golem City and it made me... not love Prague. It also didn't help that it wasn't at night, DX explorable hubs/cities are all about nights for me, and it felt like I was playing Half Life or something. (Return from Golem City spoilers)
I enjoyed my time with Prague much more when it was evening
.
As for your question, going to Golem City is pretty much exactly at 50%.

As long as its not the one who sells praxis kits and resides in your apartment you should be fine (the bald asshole with the watchcap). If its the guy that looks like Freddy Mercury with glasses then no real loss with him.

It's just the pacing that is radically different. HR has a very clear story escalation that kicks in about halfway through when you get to TYM. From that point on there are no new hubs and only a couple of sidequests. It gives the story propulsion. Further, it bounces you back and forth between Detroit and Hengsha throughout the game and that gives it scope and variance of pacing that doesn't exist in MD.
I think you could keep the content of the game nearly identical and just change the structure a bit by
Breaking up Golem into 2 separate visits (making it feel more like a hub) and making the bank main mission mandatory and locate it in a different city. You could keep the interior identical and just say it's in NYC or something
and the game immediately gains a bit more scope and feels more like HR in the process.
MD instead just keeps things on an even keel. It never really goes into overdrive. You still get meaty sidequests doled at every turn, even late in the game. Personally, I dig it. MD, to me, is Deus Ex Noir. You're a hard boiled detective unraveling the threads of the criminal underground in a city and it has that slow burn pacing so typical of noir. But that's a big departure from the rest of the series and won't be to every taste. And it doesn't help that I don't think EM was upfront with the changes to the game style. All the way until release I was expecting something with a more similar to feel to HR.

It is playable. When in missions framerate is very consistent, almost 30 fps lock.
When roaming certain parts of the HUB its not the framerate that cant cope, its more to do with the engine streaming not being able to keep up. Once assets load game runs smooth again.
It is annoying though, but nothing unplayable... like I said its only when you roam the streets of the HUB.

I haven't installed my 7200 rpm drive in my new PS4 yet, as I've just been lazy and not wanting to dl my games again. I wonder if it'll help with the issue, if it truly is asset streaming related.
