Deus Ex: Mankind Divided |OT| We Asked For This

It was very easy. I just ran to the main objective and disabled the engine. How can anybody fail this? lol

Yeah reading the posts above makes it sound a lot harder than it was. Beat it first try by just running up to the helicopter, i didnt even interact with anyone lol

I was trying to take all the enemies out to save Singh, then I realized that if you just hug the left wall you can beeline straight to the helicopter. I even took out like five guys along the way. No idea if Singh lived though.

Well, it's here. And it's magnificent. Human Revolution was my favourite game last gen and Mankind Divided seems just as good, if not better. It feels so right to play as Jensen again. The gameplay, voice acting, graphics...amazing. And the soundtrack is top notch too.

It's great when a game releases and gives you what you expect with no major flaws or bugs. Good job Eidos Montreal!!!

I posted this over in the PC performance thread, but I also thought I'd post it here since this thread is more about gameplay:

Does anyone else hate how the augmentations are mapped to F1-F4, which are laid out horizontally on the keyboard, yet on the HUD they're represented in the shape of a cross/D-pad?

Why do developers keep doing this shit on PC? Would it really have been hard for them to lay the icons out horizontally when using M&KB, that way you can actually tell at a glance which augmentation corresponds to which F-key?

I feel like I can already write a book on everything wrong with the PC version. Another thing I hate is how you're supposed to constantly hold E while dragging bodies, which in turn makes it ridiculously difficult to simultaneously steer yourself with WASD without tying your fingers into a knot. Seriously, did they even test this shit with M&KB?
This is not true.
You just hold it to grab them and once Jensen grabs the body you can let go of the key.

You're right, just tried it and it worked. The first couple times I tried that method, for some reason the body kept dropping unless I constantly held E. I don't know if there's a bug or what.

I didn't realize that hitting E on a specific point on the helicopter was what I was supposed to do, so I kept running around looking for a way to disable it, like with a rocket launcher or something. Tried shooting it, threw grenades at it, etc. At one point I had killed every single bad guy and they were still yelling at me about the helicopter while I stood there alone, totally perplexed. Guess it's possible to overthink as well as underthink with this game, heh.

Saved him, had to Reload for reasons, and same problem. Singh has nobody but friendlies around him and he gets killed. Sit back and stay down man!

Question I'm in the first mission and as someone who really doesn't like to miss secondary objectives. How easy is it to miss the first one? To
Jam the Signal Booster.

Hey guys, I don't normally do this, but I'm pretty proud of this one, so what the heck! I voiced and mo-capped Singh. Hope you guys figure out a reliable way to save him. Haven't had the chance to play it yet, but hell if I'm gonna let myself die :(

#SaveSingh
THIS IS BAD, THEY'RE CLOSING IN!

That line is engraved in my mind now.

Turned off radar and reduced UI size to 25%. Much less obtrusive and it's nice just having a single 3d marker on screen to track the general direction of my current objective.

Finally saved him and the helicopter.

The two failure points for me was near invisible enemies. I know there was sand, but I'd see no one, he would die and then I'd see enemies. The other was I didn't see how to disable the helicopter the first time.

I spent over an hour, and feel like a DSP.

You can miss it for sure but if you explore a little you find it.It's not hidden or something.

How do I get to the Aug Doctor? Do i have to do the forging IDs side quest first?

Tried the sewer but that's a no go I think.

Does anybody know if kills done by NPCs disqualify me from a pacifist run? I'm going through the first side quest and
the cops started killing the fake cops
.

Does anyone know if killing people or getting detected during the separate tutorial sequences voids a pacifist and ghost playthrough? The game itself said there aren't any consequences during those, but I want to be sure.

I accidently knocked out an npc that was part of the sidequest Neon Light. Does he ever wake back up lol?

Edit: sorry for the 2 posts in a row

Not sure I understood what was going on at the end of the intro mission.
A sandstorm hit and felt like 30 people were trying to shoot at me, so I just went invisible and made a mad dash to the helicopter. Invisibility cloak only lasted half the way there and I felt completely lost in the sandstorm, so I just followed the objective marker. Once I got there, I just started shooting like crazy at the helicopter thinking that's how you disable it, only to find out there was a battery to turn off. Somehow Singh survived the whole time, but can't say I was making any effort to save him, so good on him for sticking to cover.

Think I may experiment with the Standard control scheme after trying the 'Mankind Divided' one in the tutorial. Not sure I'm really a fan of each thumbstick having 2 different functions depending how long you click them in, especially trying to access quick inventories in the heat of battle.

Theres a drug dealer 2 floors down from your apartment and I knocked him out when I left for the first time after the Dubai Mission. Well apparently he is tied to a side mission but he still hasnt woken back up. Do npcs ever wake up without someone coming up to them or am i just screwed out of completing that one lol?

Edit: nevermind, my bad. He isnt needed for what i was trying to do.

Oh my god, I did that aswell. I didn't know it was tied to a side quest.

He's currently knocked out on his bed.

And people laughed at me (or rather, some of us) when I said we shouldn't have a blind faith on Nixxes back then.
Seems good to me aside from some people dealing with legit bugs and crashes. I think it's much better than the crap condition NMS came in less than 2 weeks ago. This game's much more detailed and deep than that and Nixxes provided pretty much all the options you really need to customize to your liking, definitely not a shit port . People just like to have meltdowns because there's an ultra setting too demanding for their PC. Even when they can't even describe what the difference between settings are and don't even really know.

This is under the assumption that the game is somehow broken for everyone. I've had great performance, but there are bugs that I want fixed asap, and also some weird decisions on key bindings for some menus

I tranq'd the first guys next to the elevator, threw 2 gas grenades down in the middle, activated the vision aug and then took out the rest when they were just standing there not being able to breathe. Took a few tries before it all worked.

I think one of my side quests in the first area of the hub is busted. I need to find 2 people to give them fake documents, but I can only find 1 person at the marker and I have looked everywhere but can't find the guy. :(

Spoilers if you want help finding the other quest person, if it isn't bugged anyways.

It's a lady in the basement of an art showroom. Very near the guy in the small shop being robbed, under the arch and to the left.

Did gas make anyone hostile?

I never said it's a shit port. It's not a perfect port like people believe Nixxes will deliver.

"It's Nixxes, everything is gonna be fine."

I wish I hadn't preloaded. My preload decryption has gone on for 40 minutes now and isn't even done. I could've just downloaded the game faster than that.

Everything is fine. There's no reason for the console versions to not have sharpening and CA toggles, but they don't. Nixxes added that as an option in the PC version because they are dope.

They did what they could. Bugs happen for some people, it'll be fine.

So far I'm enjoying the gamet more than Human Revolution, but what is this story even about? Terrorism and oppression? I can't help but fall asleep during character conversations.
