This might not actually explain why Vergil doesn't have an Angelo DT, but it is cute.
The second one with the shirt looks so much better than the final design - it creates a more dynamic silhouette while also not looking quite as stupid. I can't tell if her pants have been given a different colour or just obscured, but the colour contrast also looks much better without them blending into the jacket. That design with rolled-up sleeves would have been perfect...
I don't think so, otherwise why would they still be using it for the trailers? Perhaps those weren't intended to be Vergil and Trish/Lady's combat themes at all, just part of the music used for their cutscenes.
I'd find the argument that people simply don't
want to see the male characters sexualised beyond merely looking attractive much more convincing if fans weren't just as enthusiastic to produce staggering amounts of porn with them, along with less dramatic expressions of interest. There's clearly demand to see the male cast receive an equal amount of fanservice, but 4 ignored that completely.
