This is the first time I've liked what I've seen out of the Indy game.
Very strong Riddick vibes from that gameplay footage.
Still not thrilled about MoDeRn AuDiEnCe writing. I guess we'll see.

The discussion around Indiana Jones was interesting. Hoping to see more, but so far the gameplay shown isn't interested.
The only Star Citizen update I want is that the SCAM game has been sunset. I honestly don't understand how this is still a thing. It baffles my tiny brain.
They still have money and people playing the game. That simple. As soon as they run out of money, it won't be a thing anymore.

I don't follow Star Citizen, so thats the most I've ever seen of the game. It's much more 'more' than I was expecting given how I usually only see posts about it being a joke/scam.

They believe the $400M budget estimate is garbage, as any rational person would
The same people who believed Series X teraflop would win every battle just because of the bigger number?

The same people who were baffled as to why the PS5 was doing so well?

The same people who originally laughed at the thought of the PS5 Pro and when I reached out asking if they were possibly interested in learning more about it I was essentially laughed at and was told it wasn't happening?

Those people?

I honestly didn't watch every segment but assume they had some info debunking the cost?

DF is not automatically wrong on everything they say

Just like Colin isn’t automatically right

Interesting to see them talk about COD not having ray tracing anymore. MW1 and Cold War had it but then they just dropped it.

Very true but Colin claims to have sources and really planted his flag on that hill

Either way I was on record as saying the whispers in my circle heard 250 but nothing shocks me in todays world

250M is a huge difference from 400M

Colin doubled down again this week and seems to have confused VC funding from PM to be allocated almost fully to Concord which is not true

His source can be correct but there could be something lost in the translation

Man, they are really starting to drag their heels on the PC side of things. I could have told you the Horizon remaster is a good port, but that it's now surprisingly punishing on the CPU 5 days ago:

Well... This is not the game I expected to show me what a CPU limit at 4k looks like, but here we are. The most unexpected set of results ever with DLSS quality:

Yes, that's a 4090 + 5800X3D system getting outperformed by a 4080 + 9700X system. The 4090 has over 150 fps in the tank at those settings but it's really being held back by the 5800X3D, even at 4k.

And then with DLAA:

What this is telling me:

  • If I'm to get a 5090 I need to retire the 5800X3D system and get another AM5 one set up with a 9800X3D (I should probably do that regardless looking at these results)
  • The 9700X is far better than I was led to believe by the reviews. I don't know whether it's because I've stayed on windows 10, or whether it's because I've paired it with DDR5 6400 CL30 (and I've got it running in gear 1), but either way, I did not expect it to be out-running the 5800X3D (paired with DDR4 3200) the way that it has been for me.
  • The 9700X + a 4080 is a very balanced system.
I bought the 9700X because of its thermal behaviour (which has enabled me to keep the noise down) along with its emulation performace but I've ended up getting far more than I bargained for. The most pleasantly surprised I've ever been with a component.

He also doesn't even mention the fact that there's a benchmark available in the game which provides a good representation of the kind of performance you'll encounter in the game while in the larger cities (that should be his quick go-to test for any CPU's he has available since it takes place in meridian).

They should also be including handheld/steam deck performance for new titles as part of their testing. Its baffling that they have all these resources on the PC side of things but yet they are now starting to lag significantly behind youtubers who are much smaller in size than them.

I suspect most of their resources in the past week are dedicated to the PS5 Pro review. They'd have to have something ready for embargo day, i think.

Did you actually make contact with DF members to share information about the PS5 Pro?

No matter if it's 300M or 400M, they could have made at least 2x AAA SP games with that, or more AA games.
