Awesome, gotta love it when game developers pay homage to each otherCarbonatedFalcon said:Also some weapons named after games.
Sickle called Harvest Moon, and a sword called Monster Hunter that I've seen so far.

Adds 131-271% more damage to Wizards only
+20-25% Casting Speed
+10-22 Arcane Power (Wizard Only)
+2 Random Properties
Seems pretty good.
*The movespeed bonuses on boots seem to only go up to like 12%. What the hell Blizzard. Not cool.
this must be wrong, 1020reg on the item and the full set bonus is 30reg?Hazaro said:http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/innas-justice
Increases Spirit regeneration by 540-1020 per minute (Monk Only)
If you get a good roll that is more than 15 a second.
Oh man Inferno is gonna be crazy.

Gave you some decent levels in fireball, firewall, meteor, and fire mastery. As a necromancer. Also made you a vampire in appearance.
Those are impossible gems. You need like 20,000* of the gems that drop to get those. With 1% bonuses per level I think most people will just socket the 10-15% stuff.squidyj said:Dem Gems.
20% exp and 100 attack
20% mf and 100 precision. So... best mf build focuses on critical strike
how many sockets are we going to have access to?

+5-9% MF? really?! It used to be +100%
And there seems to be a lot less items than there were in D2
Doesn't seem to be too far off from the Elite item system and such with different ranks per weapon. Cept for weapons directed at expansion characters and others that were patched in as the game went on.cheesetom said:Gull dagger is now garbage

And it certainly isn't showing every item in the game, I can confirm that. There are some small buff potions in the beta that I've seen people use, and they are nowhere to be found in the consumables section.
Of course there has to be some super rare stuff that they just won't list there either, especially if it's spoilerish.
Also Potions that restore 8000HP instantly...Golden Anima

Mythic Health Potion

So are these all the items in the game or just a selection?tokra2003 said:
squidyj said:They won't be that expensive. they are 100% chance to get the next level of gem every 3 gems of current level. It's pretty easy from there. All you need is 729 flawless drops to get a radiant star. That's not so much.
Okay so I thought followers were supposed to be obsolete after normal difficulty. If that's the case why do they have special items that require levels up to 50?

Scroll of Superior Reforging
* Scroll
Transmutes all properties of a single magic, rare, set or legendary item into an entirely new set of properties. This process permanently reduces the maximum durability of the item by 10% and cannot be used on items with required level 50 or above.
Wait. I think it is Flawless and not Flawless Square.squidyj said:They won't be that expensive. they are 100% chance to get the next level of gem every 3 gems of current level. It's pretty easy from there. All you need is 729 flawless drops to get a radiant star. That's not so much.

Seriously.Jira said:Man, the crafting mats + the gold fees make crafting the new gambling, thankfully you'd be able to sell it on the AH if it isn't what you wanted.
Correct. If the old system they had (3 gems to get the next tier) stays, it's around 19k or so flawless drops to get a radiant star. They said they might switch to 2 gems to get the next tier (only for higher level gems that is), which would drastically reduce that amount, possibly around 1000.Hazaro said:Wait. That 729 becomes... 19,683...
Also you need 21 rares dropped in Inferno to even get that chance as well.Valnen said:Seriously.

60k gold per attempt. Gold is definitely going to be worth something, considering you have a chance at getting something better than a legendary when you try.
On the gem pages it still lists that you need 3 to advance to the next level.KScorp said:Correct. The point of gems, if I recall correctly, was to really reward long time players, and give them something to work toward once they exhaust all the content in the game.

It's hidden from view normally, as far as I can tell.

Some of the skills are changed too. Fan of Knives seems to have gotten a huge buff. ForceSC2 complained that it didn't do weapon damage and now it does over 200% o_o. And I suspect impale will be one of the hardest hitting abilities in the game if it crits.Artadius said:For those Demon Hunter fans out there.. check out the DH skill calculator. Hatred skills now come in two flavors: Hatred Generators and Hatred Spenders. So it works a bit like the Monk now where you use some damaging skills to add hatred and some to spend.
Looks like they still have some re-working to do on the runes as of this time though...some of them now don't make sense with the updates.
Also, new DH Beta skill unlock order:
1. Impale
2. Caltrops
2. Hungering Arrow
3. Evasive Fire
4. Bola Shot
5. Rapid Fire
6. Vault
7. Chakram
8. Entangling Shot
9. Elemental Arrow
11. Grenades
12. Shadow Power
So we'll see some new powers if we can assume these get patched into beta soon.
there's a difference between having interesting modifiers and granting obscenely powerful skills that are normally reserved for a single class. i have been playing the beta and love what i have seen so far, but i would be lying if i said that item database wasn't a big letdown.krameriffic said:We wouldn't want items like HOTO, Enigma and Insight. yeahe the item properties looks so WoW´ish. Only more Damage, Life, Crit or Defense. And no items thats looks like they made for special builds. Every Witch Item has +xx% Witch damage but i would prefer items with xx% Cold/Fire/Poisen etc. Damage.warbegins said:there's a difference between having interesting modifiers and granting obscenely powerful skills that are normally reserved for a single class. i have been playing the beta and love what i have seen so far, but i would be lying if i said that item database wasn't a big letdown.
