* Buying extra Stash space in Normal mode no longer expands your Stash space in Hardcode mode
* Hardcore characters will now be correctly placed into a separate queue from Normal characters when using Public Games to queue for quests
* The names of a player's RealID and BattleTag friends should no longer appear as [] when chatting with them

The increase in cost of stash tabs is interesting. It'll cost more to have unlock the first tab than the entire cumulative gold cost of leveling the Blacksmith to the highest level. Almost more than maxing out the Blacksmith and Jeweler combined.

This isn't counting the pages of training though - anybody's guess what the droprate and value of those will be. Since you need hundreds to level both of them, not counting extra actual recipes that have to be dropped/found. For instance, you need 500 Pages of Jewelcrafting to go from level 9 to 10 with the Jeweler. Even then, there are still two levels of gems whose recipes must be found.

Wtf :lol?

They increased the gold drop rate in patch 14
With how much though? I barely played Patch 14... did they increase it with like, 200%? Because that's the only thing that would make it reasonable...

About that
Damn that's ridiculous. Speaking of gold, did we ever hear a mention of companions (the pets that took gold from the ground) coming back? I loved them so much... WHY BLIZZARD :_:

Not Diablo enough. (I'm not joking)
♥ But seriously, did they mention it at all (except for the reveal that they were deleting it)?

Which class is everyone starting with?
I'm torn between the demon hunter and the witch doctor.

Monk Day 1. I want to learn the ins and outs of that class. I want a build a Monk focused around co-op support options, not just brute force killing. I like playing medic class. :D

You could always play a Demon Hunter and use the Rune for the Companion skill and get the same effect! But i'm with you i miss the companions so much i don't care if it wasn't Diablo enough if they were worried about it so much they could've got rid of the cutesy looking ones and kept the more serious ones around.

Never! I will never give in to such a class!

I would love if they would've made it so that you could have permanent companions, like pets in WoW ._.

I liked the companions because they were cute. But all they did was pick up gold for you.

Maybe they could make them more like the Followers. Instead of some warrior NPC. You could hire from a Monster Collector and hire a Goblin, or Skeleton and they do a few different things. Of course, that would add another 6 months to Dev time. :D

I hate moving around to pickup gold and no way am I rolling that shit onto my gear.
At least it should scale with leveling so I can get +6 pickup radius at like level 30 on one piece of loot, but still.

How do you pre-load without a Blizzard purchase? And if you're in the beta, does it overwrite your beta files?

Still didn't get an answer to this, someone posted here earlier claiming it was possible to preload the retail game without preordering on Blizzard's site - for example if you wanted to order from the far-cheaper Amazon instead - can someone tell me how to do it? Or does it involve illegal things which is why nobody's posted it?

there are links in the other Diablo 3/May 15th thread to the full exe, and no, it won't mess with your beta installation. it's just a downloader that grabs a setup.exe, a couple of mpq files and puts them in a specified folder. you can't even install it until the game goes live.

edit: hmmm, looked all over that thread and couldn't find the links, checked r/diablo and voila -

I dunno if it's against their terms of service or anything, I doubt it is. I downloaded mine through the WoW annual pass program because I'm a straight up sucker. ;_;

Haha. That sorryformay15th site just reminded me that the game releases on my 2nd anniversary with my wife.

Hadnt noticed before that. Whoops

I've been looking for some kind of documentation on the issues Patch 15 introduced that has had the servers down as they try and fix said issues. Anyone know what the issues were?

Ya know, you CAN celebrate those kinds of days a day before, a week before, months, or even after. Or just turn tail and enjoy your evening with your wife that night with the torture thoughts of "I could be playing Diablo 3 right now". lol - I feel your pain though.

I got a key about 24 hours ago and it's been down for about 24 hours.
This is so typical!
But I am laughing about it.

I'd be going nuts.

Itching to get back on and make another Demon Hunter, and also try out Barb. Wonder what went wrong with the patch...?
