This is a tip for people that want to skip Act II and move on to either Act III or Act IV.
Starts a game in single player in Act X quest X in hell mode, now leave your game and
go into a public game. You will now be in inferno Act X quest X. Leave game and then
resume game, and now your in single player Act X quest X but in inferno!!

The only legendary in it is the movement speed on a bracer.. Christ.. lol
I don't try to make sense out of it. I use whatever makes my damage higher. Most of it has to do with the damage range on the weapons.

I feel like this is worth a penny or two so i don't want to under price it. What do you guys think? I'd use it but I lose 4000 dps for like 3000 life, 1.5% protection and like 2% resist in the various elements. I'm playing witch doctor by the way.

Yeah, I turned advanced tooltips on right away, but I don't understand why Elective Mode isn't on by default. Seems like it exponentially increases character building possibilities.
I did the math for you. Enjoy. Basically the biggest difference is the damage per weapon hit is more than 100 pts lower than the 2 hander. INT is a multiplier on the damage per hit, not the DPS.
See the below spreadsheet for equations. Which seem to match up with your numbers exactly. I can't explain why they say the 1H will give you a 1k increase. I haven't messed with the numbers to get that.

This has probably been gone over, but how do you compare 2H, dual wield and 1H+Shield with a monk? I'm not sure what I should be running. I have that level 30ish Legendary Daibo, but I'm to the point where I think I need to upgrade it.
I'm not sure what kind of DPS I need to consider on two 1 handers to match the damage output.. and I'm not sure if I should be using a shield or not. Do many monks do this? I'm at Act 2 in Nightmare and while I'm fine most of the time, there are times when I can take way too much damage.

The balance in hell is weird. I PLOW through whites and blues, but the moment I run up against a yellow pack I have to die 5 times until I whittle them down to death.
Also, I don't understand how it is possible to get to 100% critical hit chance. Most gear is 3.5% chance to critical at best.
I'm level 53.

Welcome to the club.
DH can hit it through a passive that continues to stack their crit rate until they successfully crit, at which point it resets then begins stacking again. It's not as great as it sounds.

Damn. I think I'm going to stay away from public games for awhile. I have authenticator on, but if I got my shit ran, I'd just uninstall.

I think I'll finish this out like a man. The Force Armor was the key I was missing. Thanks to whoever mentioned it (I think Yoshi pointed it out). that armor + diamond skin was enough to stop the 1-shotting bullshit.
I strongly recommend it to all other Wizards who plan to brave the deserts of Act 2. Don't get me wrong, it's still bullshit and you'll still have to quit out of the game depending on the elite pack composition. You will still die enough to make you wonder what Blizzard was thinking. But at least regular minions won't be a 1-shotting threat. That's a big fucking deal, IMO.
I'm one vial of blood away from being very damn close to finishing this shit.
Same thing happened to me. I just got a notification about it an hour ago. Gave them the go ahead to roll my account back to a previous state.

There is nothing to do but leave the game and re-roll the dungeon and hope for something better.
I just left "chain linked spider plague fast" because it was impossible at my level in hell (54) for my character.
Something about attacking just feels very right in this game. I can't really explain it. Everything feels and sounds so flat in Torchlight 2 and Path of Exile compared to this.
Does the level up process every become less linear? Probably my biggest problem so far.
Also getting a bit of random stutter when walking around. No frame-rate drops or anything... but some micro stuttering. Something to do with just being online all the time?
