Is anyone still interested in fighting the Uber bosses for a Hellfire Ring? I just got back into the game and I've got two Infernal Machines. If somebody else has a machine or wanted to work on getting keys with me, my username is BobSeger#1262.

I can do monster power 5 pretty easily. Monster power 6 I'll die occasionally but I could do it.

I'm in the same situation as you, I'll add you later today.

I currently main Witch Doctor and it's going to be a hard choice between sticking with him or going Crusader. WD has always been my favourite class by far, but I am getting a little bored with "spinning". Piranhado sounds pretty cool, hopefully we'll get some funky builds in RoS.

Same. Made the decision to main WD back during the 2008 reveal and never looked back. My plan is to play Crusader during the first ladder season (since I have all other classes at max level). Once the ladder season is over and the Crusader gets moved to non ladder I can make my decision from there. Really no plans to ever play ladder again after the first season; just going to make my non ladder main and alt as strong as possible.

Having played all classes at max level I would say in terms if fun:

WD = WIZ > DH > BARB = MONK

Heretic :p

I know it varies greatly based on build, but for my MP10 characters (all at 200k unbuffed dps)

CoB WD: Cast locust swarm then hold down CoB until everything's dead. Amusing to see everything melt quickly, but hardly fun or interesting to play.

CM Wiz: Hold down "A" to spam all skills until everything is dead. Tele to next pack. Rinse & repeat. Yawn.

Grenades/RF DH: A little more interesting, but mostly just set down traps then alternate between RF and grenades, depending on resource availability.

2h HotA/WW Barb: WW around, tap Overpower/Battle Rage every now and then and HotA for stragglers. Yawn.

Nirvana Monk: Dash to targets, rapidly hit FoF/BoH/Blind/Overawe then spam bells and watch body parts fly all over the screen. I've never had as much satisfaction in this game as I do right now when I can take down an elite / champ pack in 3-4 seconds on MP9 with one cycle of nirvana (can't quite get there on MP10 yet)

Sure, if you play a cookie cutter FoT/SW monk then yeah, hold FoT until stuff is dead, rinse and repeat. Boring as hell. That (and the massive amount of dps) is one of the reasons I switched spec.

Affixes are random and you keep re-enchanting until one you like appears (previous ones will stay on the list). I am looking forward to seeing what can be done with cooldown reductions stacked.

Common, Magic, and Rare item appearances will unlock as you level up the Mystic, while Legendary and Set item appearances will unlock only after you’ve identified them.

Legacy items (items that drop before [the expansion/pre-expansion patch] goes live) will not unlock unique item appearance, but they can be Transmogrified.

BRB need to sell several hundred legendaries, fuck

We've known that for a while.

Only for a couple of weeks, I already had them by that point. I took Radicus' (?) advice and held off a bit on dumping them to see if it was going to change, but since this is an official blog post and not just a blue post on the forums that's a moot chance now.

It's not a big deal since it didn't really cost a whole lot to actually get all of them, just mildly annoyed since I'll have to go back and parse out what's actually worth re-selling. I do appreciate that they were upfront about this, if they hadn't confirmed either way and I had 8 mules and a mostly full stash for 6 months I would have been pretty unhappy lol

Random tidbit from lylirra on Reddit:

Done. In the expansion/pre-expansion patch version of the game, set items currently have a green beam. BOOM.
It's -- wait for it -- GLORIOUS.

Also Shifty I responded to your comment on Reddit about a 60 Sledgefist, for reference this is the one I found on the 360 version: http://d3up.com/i/16470677

Heh, wondered if that was you.

All I can say about that weapon is WANT!

Yeah I have that and a level 60 Bonesaber with a socket, I'm pretty much a god on the console version, it's ridiculous. Also I just checked, and the Bonesaber has a 0.27 APS at level 60, so it goes up to at least .27 there.

FINALLY got my last class to 60 (Witch Doctor). Spent somewhere around 30 mil to get this:

http://d3up.com/b/1162338

My DPS is pretty solid it seems like, my eHP is obviously hurting though. I'm clearly missing out bigtime on my gloves and bracers (no Vit or AR) so I'm still working on that but RNG gonna RNG. In terms of upgrades that I could buy, I think the only easy upgrade I would have would be to get a Zuni chest with 200+ Vit at the cost of the +Armor and possibly some of the Int? I've got pretty good eHP on all of the other pieces except the jewelry, but stacking eHP on jewelry isn't usually the greatest idea, although maybe I could drop my rare ring for a Litany or something? Or I could drop Blood Ritual for Jungle Fortitude if nothing else I suppose, but that's not a great long-term plan.

Also I went Skorn since people said it was easier/cheaper to do starting out since you're not burning through Mana as quickly so that's easier to manage which has been true, but I'm still having trouble working on kiting using Pestilence. I think just need to go watch some videos, I seem to have a hard time getting it down and enemies seem to always be JUST outside the range of CoB >_>

I finally found a legendary that seems like it'd be useful. I don't really play witch doctor though...

No Crit chance renders it useless. Offhand I think the only helmet that is worthwhile for any class/build that doesn't have crit chance is the Mempo.

Yeah, need more ehp stat. A large health pool really helps with that build since you're always in the middle of things. I'd recommend 50k absolute minimum, preferably over 60k.

Here's My MP10 WD for comparison's sake. I did have a skorn but found that knife which gave a dps upgrade so I stuck with it. Plus, the mojo gives a healthy ehp boost. I do still switch to a LS skorn for some RD packs though as I tend to nuke myself sometimes.

I didn't notice that resource cost is now an affix that can roll on items.

Always could. -HotA cost on SoJ's for example have been popular for a while.

That particular screenie is from RoS though, where you could add that affix to an item via the mystic.

It could roll on Echoing Fury before? I know it could roll on SoJ because that's like a special legendary but didn't know it could roll on more items.

Yeah, in this case it's kind of hilarious because with most of my classes/initial setups Vit was fine, the issue was AR. On this build/setup I'm goddamn swimming in AR without even trying but hurting bad for Vit. Until I can craft some bracers and gloves that have Vit short term I'll grab a double Vit Zuni chest as soon as I'm able to (only have like 9 mil atm) and I may try dropping Blood Ritual for Jungle Fortitude short-term.

Once I get Mana management down I may also try going dual wield; the idea of doing it now so I can get some eHP on the offhand is intriguing right now, but I'm still having a rough time getting used to the build as-is so I'll probably stick with the Skorn at least for right now.

Edit: Couldn't swing a 200+ vit Zuni chest that also had armor on it, but looking at your setup I thought I could maybe swing a cheaper Tal amulet that had good Vit. The best one I could afford there at my budget (8 mil) would have dropped my dps a good amount (8-10k on most), was about the pull the trigger on an 8 mil rare amulet that was only a 3k dps loss but ~5k HP boost when this popped up for 7 mil, bought it right at 1hr 12m:

I'm thrilled to just not take a DPS hit at all, but also 5500 more HP? Yes please. Hopefully I can craft some good gloves/bracers this weekend, and/or get the money for a decent Vit/Armor Zuni chest. With this equipped and I swapped out Blood Ritual for Jungle Fortitude I'm up to 347k ehp which should hopefully improve things.

No, not on EF. That particular screenie is a sneak peak at what rolls the mystic could add to that EF in RoS

Yeah, I hear you on the AR/vit thing!

If you look at zuni chests with under 200 vit but with life % you can often get more HP than you would with a double vit one yet they're a fraction of the price.

That ammy was a nice buy for sure!

I totally forgot to look for life %, I usually specifically check for that when shopping for items because people tend to undervalue it, but I spaced on that here. Will definitely keep in mind when I have money to go shopping for that again.

Haha, god bless that stupid AH. I found a rather cheap 1H spear with 795 DPS compared to my previous 375-something.

Hell difficulty just got somewhat easy now...

Interesting to see the cooldown and resource reduction affixes are a lot more viable now. I'm glad they're tuning a lot of the crappy affixes, maybe thorns will get a buff to go along with the thorns-based set.

It's been a long time since I've seen a Blizzard game just keep hitting the right notes with no signs of stopping.

Decided to finally mess around with a Rapid Fire build on my DH. Using Bombardment, it's...interesting. I can't quite do MP10 that well, but MP8 goes pretty smooth. Anyway, while doing so just found this:

Not super amazing, but decent and it's actually an upgrade of ~10k dps for the one my Barb has (I geared him fairly cheap).

I...I found an upgrade. WHAT IS HAPPENING

Almost at level 60 on my DH, I'm running through Hell now.

What builds are best for the DH to do max damage? I'm playing in Co-Op with my GF who is a wizard, she seems to do much more damage. Well, the AOE of the wizard is at least much better, but that is to be expected.

I have a 2 hand crossbow at the moment, I seem to rarely get legendary bow drops, it's always crossbows lol.

You'll probably want rapid fire bombardment. Unfortunately DH doesn't have a lot of high dmg AoE skills.

My monk who had 50k less dps than my DH cleared things probably 10 times faster.

lol wat

Some interesting bits in here, I haven't been keeping up too much with the nitty gritty on these so I don't feel like I can comment too much, will leave others here for that. I did notice that they removed the movement speed bonus while Tempest Rushing, so that hurts that build pretty badly (kills it?). Wait, did they buff Archon? What the shit?

More than doubling the damage on Sweeping Wind is pretty strange as well. We were all already using it anyway...

Tempest Rush with the movement speed rune should still be fine.

This Exploding Palm buff could turn it into a new Rend. Check out the long-duration rune - damage buffed 5x and it hits in 12 seconds instead of 15.
"Impending Doom: Increase the duration of the Bleed effect to deal 3486% weapon damage as Physical over 12 seconds. (Bleed effect up from 745%, duration reduced from 15)"

They pretty much buffed the damage on most skills in the game anyway. It's essentially a system wide change.

I mean look at the 7 Sided Strike buff. 1777% to 3777%!

My guess is that maybe they're re-evaluating those stat caps (cc/cd/ias) and possibly adding them in again, so the skill dmg buffs are to make up for that lost dps that most characters would face.

Blinding Flash going from 30% to 43% makes me pretty stoked too, especially if it scales with IAS as it does now. That'll give me an extra 1m dps or so per bell.

Looks like the Battle.net Beta opt-in page got updated with a RoS image for Diablo, and the Battle.net client has icons for RoS and Heroes of the Storm now. Seems like this is going to be a busy winter for Blizzard.

GAF please advise. I seem to be stuck going forward on my Monk.

http://d3up.com/b/1182991

I ended up in an ok place DPS wise but I feel like my skills are meh, my defensive stats are lacking and my weapons have terribad minimum dps.

Do I keep One with Everything and find one defensive stat I like and replace pieces slowly with that or do I do like I did with my WD and stack All Resist.

As far as the weapons I understand LS is being removed but do I switch to LOH. I wasnt able to leave MP3 until I found my LS weapon.

WD for reference: http://d3up.com/b/1183003

He feels much more solid going into MP 6. I feel like the Monk can do it but the farthest I have taken her is MP5 with a 2 player party.

I'm limited in what I can see on my tablet, but your resistances look far too low for MP6. I'll try and post my monk later today, but I think I'm high 500s or so without OWE. My damage isn't significantly higher than yours, maybe around 185K unbuffed.

What are your current plans for the monk? If you're working on gaining paragon levels as quickly as possible, I highly suggest looking into a Tempest Rush + Exploding Palm build with a big Skorn and supplemental spirit regeneration. I'm killing huge packs at an alarming rate.

You basically TR around the map like Speedy Gonzalez, gather up huge packs of bad guys, mark one or two with exploding palm, drop a single bell and watch them all explode.

Here's the best guide:
