there is mine. It's really nothing special. But my DPS is 70K and that's without sharpshooter. My crit chance with the scoundrel is 43 I think. My crit damage is 319%. I can pretty much beast any act with cluster bombs. I die quick but the key is to not die.

go for it! The only thing that sucks is that it's definitely harder to sell things now than it was a month or 2 ago but it's still good, obviously.

I've been trying to improve my crit hit chance lately, I'll try to keep improving on it some more though. What makes crossbows so special? I thought a bow would be better just because of the faster attack speed but I see a lot of people use crossbows instead and I've never grasped why.

Crossbows give crit damage with archery and when your crit chance is that high it means that you are hitting big very frequently.

They're at 15.75m with 90mins to go on EU. Was hoping for at least 25m but I'll take it. There is not really many bracers with max crit, a good chunk of all res, 90+ main stat and a bit of vit.

My monk is really effective to play in parties with full DPS chars like Wizz and DH but it's just... I really like playing tanks, but sometimes it's just boring not to kill stuff in seconds.

So let me know if you have any tips or improvements, or add me up in game =P

Try just switching to mantra of conviction + overawe for a bit, see how that does ya.

Regardless, if you want to make the transition to a more DPS heavy build, it doesn't have to be a complete change, you can try some gradual things - like the mantra thing, try getting a second one hander or a 2hander - if you have the money, try getting a legendary that could 'work' with your playstyle - for example if you use a lot of fire based skill runes, get the axe that increases your fire damage by up to 25%.

That sort of thing. You don't seem to have a lot of crit, so I don't think gearing for crit+crit bonus is something you should jump into trying unless you're committed. So yeah... change a skill or two + get a second weapon is my final advice, cheapest solution to just 'try it out'.

Get a new weapon with critical hit damage or LoH and sock and use a green gem. Weapons are dirt cheap now. I got a 1kdps mace with 170dex 160vit and socket for under 14m. for 1 or 2m you should be able to get a 900dps weapon with ok stats.

Swap to Conviction - Overawe to get a 25% boost without having to change gear, as Kinitari points out.

That's the current gear I use (sword is a loan from Rentahamster) and my current build. It's pretty DPS-focused but I do use Mantra of Evasion - Hard Target or Backlash instead of Overawe if I'm doing a solo run as a measure of safety. I swap in my LOH rings as well if I feel like I'm not getting enough returns on my Essence Burn and Thunderclap procs though. Additional pet from Maximus is really nice to boot.

So every time I get 4-5 stacks of valor after a few minutes, usually right before I kill an elite, every once in a while my game freezes as if I'm in a permanent lag spike and then drops me from the game, and then I can't log in to Diablo III or the Battle.net website (it times me out) for a few minutes. This didn't start until 1.0.4.

Any ideas as to what is causing this? I have don't have this problem with any other game, ever.

Wow just as I was talking about no upgrades from loot and quitting....I get a legit upgrade on my amulet. My current one I am planning on selling for 15 million and use that cash to buy a bracer with crit and light resist.

Ths fucking game sometimes.....

Didn't realize LoH could go so high on one handed weapons. If it had crit dmg % it would be pretty much perfect but I will take gem slot + str + huge LoH.

I found, that's right FOUND some decent gear for a few of my characters this last week. Despite not getting anything sold on the AH or, finding any of those new 1.04 legendaries; I'm actually somewhat pleased with the game as it is in this state.

Just wish there was another act because these runs are getting pretty boring.

1000 LOH I think is the max a one-hander can achieve post-patch, makes sense with two-handers reaching 2000.

Hmm max LoH before patch was around 950 so unless someone saw 2k LoH two hander it probably wasn't changed.

BTW is botting now unprofitable ?

I sold 90 dex+ 25% GF belt for 1kk before patch and now they are barely worth 200k.

I hate being just short on gold for an item you see go up that's a great deal :( It was purchased not too long afterwards too. At least I managed to get a fairly cheap 1100 DPS crossbow with decent stats as was suggested.

What percentage does it have? Needs to be close to 40% to be really noticable. My second and current one has 44.9% (35% previously), coupled with Strongarm Bracers I have 48.5%. Really effective at keeping elites at bay.

It has 1000 dps and like 44-46 percent knock back, didn't test it out that much so might've been why I didn't notice. Don't know if I should use it or not, brings my dps down to 55K from 75K :/

I need a manticore! I'm debating whether or not I should get one. If I were to get one with like 900 dps and it has Dex crit damage plus socket for more crit damage, would it give me more damage then my cross bow that has 1200 dps with 80 crit damage? I think it will but that 300 dps difference!

I lost 130% crit going from an xbow to the Windforce, but the knockback proc more than makes up for it and in my oppinion makes it much more fun to play.

I'm currently also re-selling a 1050 ish dps Manticore/socketted which I bought on a whim for 1 mil bid to test but it left me dissapointed after having used Windforce (I've come to enjoy 2.5-3 attacks/sec instead of the crit dmg).

Did a full Act 3 run.

Got my Barb, my Wiz and my WD about 10k buff in dps for each after all the loot.

Barb is 47k dps unbuffed (dps build) (39% crit chance, 52 once buff lol, with 300 crit dmg)
Wiz finaly over 30k
WD almost at 40k

Now maybe I'll try to bring one in inferno beside act 1.

And my DH still being... useless, unused.

The early concepts of the Mystic looked promising. I have no idea why they felt the need to scrap it. The blacksmith should have elements that involve actual, you know, crafting. Sort of like a more involved Charsi imbue combined with the rerolling and crafting goodness of the D2 Horadric cube.

Path of Exile has a good approach to this, as you can take a shitty item and potentially mold it into a godly item, and this process requires consumables which have a value relative to their rarity/usefulness.

the problem is they should have had a cap on items no more than say 10 mil or something then you wouldn't have 250mil for some shitty item..... 10 million for the best items... Fucking no one can afford 250mil gold..... I'm not gonna play much either maybe 6 or 7 hours a weeks or something... 160 hours 3 legendaries before the .4 patch all where garbage.... I did get one upgrade yesterday... I nice belt.

So, here is my Witch Doctor right now.

Can anyone tell me what to improve on this? I checked out, and this one is capable of killing Act3 elites within a minute or so, but I DO lose the dogs and sometimes even the gargantuan in the process - and certain packs might kill me once as well. 47k+ hp, 650+~ all resists, using a shield.

I know that my gear is quite horrible, but I am not really sure which slots need to be changed more. My priority right now is:
-Getting two decent rings (haha
-Finding a pair of gloves+boots that fare better than my current combination that is slightly sustained by the setbonus
-Finding a WD Hallowed weapon instead of the current one (preferably just as high DPS as this one :p)
-Finding either a good Helm of Command OR a proper WD helm with mana regen and all resist.

... and after that, we are into the 10+mill/upgrade territory. :(

So, any skill recommendations? I am against using dumbbear build and have no mana regen plan B, so pet-based builds are preferred.

Speaking about WDs - are Toads after patch good enough to replace Splinter and Acid Rain as low cost attack and LOH trigger ?

Or maybe spiders ?

I use bears as main attack.

On a scale of 1-10, how disappointed will I be later today when I ID it all?

(At least 30 rings/Amulets level 60+ as well, I count them as 63s for IDing purposes.)

Look, if you're going to quit in a couple of weeks, could you send me your luck? I've gotten exactly ONE legendary since 1.0.4 came out, a crappy ilvl 60 with mediocre stats.

I've gotten better rares than that, sadly they're not selling well either....

Daaaaang. I had a ring pretty similar to that (atk speed 9% instead of crit chance) that sold for $200. Still by far the best item I've ever found, and only thing I've sold on the RMAH but man did it feel good.

There was a guy once who claimed that he ided 3 full tabs worth of 63s and got garbage. Hopefully that doesn't happen to you lol.
