If anyone needs any greater affix items or any particular unique items for their build, let me know. My stash is running out of space.

It's impossible to sell cosmetic items I think.

It's not really a cosmetic, you get it as a regular legendary which then you break at the blacksmith for the appearance. But maybe they cannot be sold as you say.

I actually googled this and found a thred on reddit and it appears to be either missing or well hidden.

In any case the armor of baleful intent you get from ormus has a similar vibe and from the datamined icon for Hatred's Seat I think it looked pretty much like Baleful Intent Legs.

Struggling a tiny bit with the Urivar boss fight at the end of Act 3, still doing the campaign.

Should I be doing anything with my weapons and gear at this point of the campaign or just wait until I hit Level 60? Have mats and runes. Just unsure what I should be socketing things into with the changes they’ve made.

Level 44 Spiritborn. Have Centipede and Eagle cooking.

You could spend on upgrading weapons but it's no use as you will find better soon, you could just grind a few levels then get r done.

So I just picked up a PS5 physical copy of this I found for $20. Is there any reason to pick up Vessel of Hatred right away, or am I good to wait til I'm into the game for a while?

Play the campaign then hit the DLC. The story is pretty damn good and get that $20 worth imo.

Well, that was… fun. Unless you’re a completionist or trophy/achievement hunter, I don’t really recommend bothering with getting all your Mercs to max. Since they scale with you, you get all their useful skills by level 4. You can unlock their best bartering abilities at level 8, but I found bartering to be useless because there are far faster/easier ways to farm gear and runes than a random vendor with a rotating stock. By the time you get more than one or two of them to level 8, you’re already getting equal or better drops.

None of their rank 10 caches gave anything better than what you’d get as random drops in end game activities.

Can you force them to level quicker. Mine seems to be quote slow (subo) and I only see xp flash up now and again. Should I be waiting until we attack together or something?

Quick tip for people making alt characters, trading gear, or accepting gear from friends -

There's a change this season where items with +mainstat are restricted to items only usable by that character. For example, I tried to use gloves on my Necro, with +dex that I found with my Rogue. The game wouldn't let me.

To fix this, put the item in the enchanter and roll away the mainstat from the other class. I changed the +dex to attack speed, and I could use the gloves on my Necro.

Ive been using some builds from icy veins to adjust to the new mechanics. An updated twisted blade build for my eternal rogue, and a stinger levelling build for my spiritborn. Its nice with the levelling guide how it lines up the order of skill points to level. With the bonus skill points from eternal realm, you can reach the key passives a lot sooner, too.

Twisting Blades endgame

Spiritborn Stinger levelling build

So what determines the power level of your drops this season? Is it just your main level? Like when do I start to see things above 725 dropping? On tormented or will they drop on hard when I get to level 70 etc

Unfortunately, no. They only get XP for elites or higher enemies so the only real way to level them faster is to do stuff with lots of elites. The XP for them is also higher per torment tier.

If you have a lot of boss summoning mats, killing tormented bosses (and world bosses) give nice chunks of merc XP but it’s probably still faster to just chain run Undercity or Infernal Hordes due to the density of Elite mobs.

Edit: Forgot to mention they also get nice chunks of XP from certain events like doing Strongholds or turning in Favors at the Tree. On T2, my primary Merc was getting 500xp per Favors turn it. But compare that to doing Infernal Hordes where, depending on wave options, I was getting 2500-4000xp for my primary Merc per 8 wave run.

Just wanted to say how great the citadel is.

I honestly had no faith that the raid was going to be all that interesting, to the point where when content creators said that it was amazing, I still didn't believe them.

Having done it twice now (T3 & T4), it is such a fun piece of content that has me losing my mind in ways Diablo never has. We did it as a 2 person team and we're just yelling in discord freaking out about everything. Even when you've learned the mechanics it's still a wild fight because of how quickly you can die to certain things. How the game gives you timers you have to beat, which only really feel like a factor when someone dies and you need to save the run.

Its just such a good time, feels like an achievement when you beat it...and I don't even care that the loot from it is forgettable. It's a damn good time.

Bought the expansion yesterday and so far is pretty shitty to me. Weird problems here and there on PS4. Everytime the framerate drops, audio get severely screwed. Effects plays in a very slower pace, like the console was struggling to play the audio along with the rest. Played a little that way and, in one of the main cutscenes of the game, voices got muted while music continued to play just fine. I don't have PSN Plus and played the game so far without it, but now it shows an full-screen "buy PSN Plus" that takes several seconds to load, everytime I start the game. Loading screens also are taking a lot longer to complete. Maybe the game evolved and is better right now, but the experience is a lot worse than pre-patch, at least on PS4.

My experience has massively surpassed my expectations with this expansion when I was expecting the worst. I know alot of this is because I haven't played since the launch season but they've actually made massive improvements to many of the pain points of the game. If this game had real trading market, didn't have the online MMO aspects and had better variety in gearing like D2 had, I would be pretty high on the game.

If that's the last time you played, then yes the improvements are massive. They still have more to do, in my opinion. I feel like this is what the game should have been on release. Like the early rumors were reporting, they really did need another year in the oven.

Audio problems got acknowledged by blizzard and aren't PS4 exclusive. I hope they fix it fast.

Gonna watch this, but wtf has happened to glyph xp?

It’s based on the Pit now. You get a set amount of glyph upgrade attempts per Pit completion. As you upgrade runes to higher levels, lower Pit runs have a lesser chance of upgrading the rune.

As a practical example, I have a level 26 glyph and if I complete a Pit run at level 35, I only have a 70% chance of upgrade success. But if I do a level 45 Pit run, it’s a 100% chance and might even give two upgrades on the first attempt.

I hope that makes sense. It’s late and my brain is jumbled.

Does it level my socketed glyphs or is it random?

And you don't get glyph xp from nmd any more?

You know a game is good when youre starting planning for how many hours you can play on an otherwise busy schedule. Playing this, I long for days when I didnt have a worry in the world and could play WoW all day. Theyre moving Diablo more and more into the MMO genre, and its both awesome and terrifying, at the same time.

How does it work with the Vessel of Hatred campaign? I did the campaign last season, so now the option will be there to skip it? So I can make a Lvl 1 seasonal character and go straight to xpac?

What's the easiest / fastest way to go up in the season? Did it change from the last one?

No, no more glyph XP in NMDs. Glyphs are entirely managed within the Pit now.

It’s just like before except instead of XP, it’s “upgrade chances”. You get to choose which glyphs you want to attempt to upgrade at the end of the Pit via the glyph terminal that pops up.

Edit:

If you finished the base campaign earlier, the first time you load into Vessel of Hatred you get dropped straight into a new character creation screen that goes directly into the VoH expansion campaign. Like the base game, you have to finish that once before you get the option to skip it on other characters.

When creating new characters after that screen, you are given the option in the “finalize character” screen to either A) start with the main campaign, B) start with the Vessel of Hatred campaign, or C) skip the campaigns entirely (after both are completed once). (Also, you can skip the VoH campaign on existing characters on Eternal at the character select screen.)

As for leveling, it’s the same basic loop as always. Whispers, NMDs, Helltides, Pit, Hordes, and now Undercity, Dark Citadel, and the seasonal Realmwaker. But it really feels, at least to me, that they’ve gone back to Season 0/Season 1 leveling speed. It feels much slower/sloggier now compared to season 4 or 5 and loot drops while leveling feel particularly anemic.

Edit 2: Another point of note: Mercenary unlocks persist between realms. After doing the quests to unlock them once, they will all be unlocked on all characters on both Eternal and Seasonal realms. Their levels, however, are realm-independent.

Well it took till level 45 but I finally got my Centipede build cranking so that I'm clearing house on Expert. The class felt a bit underwhelming at first but it's gettin there.

I feel that way with Centipede as well. I'm level ~52 and feel like I'm just now able to go room to room with some alacrity. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong in skills usage.

This is why Spiritborn is broken. I'm going to try this out before they nerf it.

Yeah I did that and now I’m basically melting everything. I do hope they fix it this patch despite them saying they won’t nerf classes because this discrepancy between the Spiritborn and everything else is wild.

I bought the game on my Xbox Series X when it came out. Since I currently have Game Pass Ultimate, would I be able to play it "free" via Game Pass, since I own the game?

You can play Diablo 4 vanilla. But the expansion, to my knowledge, is not included with gamepass. You need to buy it on your Xbox in order to play it. Remember that the expansion isn't crossbuy, you can only use it in the platform were the purchase was made. So, if you bought Vessel of Hatred on Xbox, but also have the game on PC or PS, you canot use it outside Xbox. If the game ever leave the Gamepass catalog and you bought Vessel of Hatred, you won't be able to use it anywhere else, needing to buy vanilla Diablo 4 again.

Ok, thanks. I bought the game when it came out, but became too difficult for me to continue. Found out I was playing it wrong, and now I am back to playing it and actually going through the game without issue now. But I am a long ways off, so no hurry for Vessel of Hatred. But was just wondering. No biggie, I will buy it I am sure once I finish the main game. Kudos to you.

I don’t mind a new class being OP for a season or two but there’s no way most of these interactions are intended. I can’t imagine they made the quill volley/evade feathers build this broken intentionally. It basically makes every other Spiritborn build vastly inferior.

I know what they said in the past about not nerfing a class mid season but if they don’t wrangle this in sooner rather than later it’s going to be detrimental to the game as a whole, IMO.

No. Expansion content is sold separately, as it always is with Game Pass.

Spiritbornes are so stupid buffed you don't even want to play near em during events. Most of the meta builds look brain-numbingly boring, but that can be said about most of them.

anyone else run into the never ending events? I seemed to earn my 4th chest as the exact second it was supposed to end.. now it just keeps giving me wave after wave and i cant seem to trigger my reward.. i want my chests lol great way to farm Zakarum tho

It happened to me once in one of the side portals but not at the end.

Any advice on priority endgame activities? Haven’t played much since season 1 and just got my spiritborn up to p50.

Did some helltides last night and got -one- ancestral item from clearing all chests.
