I had gamepass ultimate.. I cancelled it.. then my son had a friend over.. they wanted to play Xbox
so I resubbed at a lower tier that had what they want to play.

I cancelled but long before the price increase.

I found that the nature of gamepass itself caused me to devalue games and it felt bad. Made the hobby unfun. Now I'm back to collecting.

I haven't really missed gamepass for the past two months. I'm just enjoying my backlog and my switch for now, and I've even picked up quite a few games on mobile. The monthly subscription idea is still nice, so I'll wait until a good game shows up.

Cancelled mine & I haven't looked back. Enjoying playing the games I've purchased myself and exploring some retro games with Switch Online.

Used the Gold conversion, when sub elapsed, did not renew, renting games with unknown endpoints is not worth it to me. I take a long time to complete games and have a big back catalog. It's better value for me to buy games, on discount, and some games day 1, but I'm not a day 1 buyer usually.

As soon the price hyke was announced - coincidentally my SX died too, but I could use on PC and decided not to. Microslop is more and more with bad management

Mine ends in September 2026 but until then I effectively paid like $7 a month. That's worth it for the fortnite crew alone. I will admit that I barely play any of its games on there and just play already bought games with my friends.

People paying $30 a month, what are you financially doing with your lives?

I've been playing my Xbox less and less so it only made sense to bump down to the most basic tier to keep online play if I want it. I also have a handful of "Games with Gold" I collected over the years, but I just wasn't getting much mileage out of GPU anymore. It was a waste of another $20/mo after the price hike.

Also, MS' almost nonexistent MS Game Studios releases - and big cancellations - didn't help their case.
