Well I can't defend them if the car models are already there, that kind of sucks. Makes you wonder what you're actually downloading then, since an unlock key would only be 108kb.
For the cars you download the more detailed player models and interior, might be other things too but the medium /low cars are in already so others can race you online without the dlc packs, but I dislike the dlc coming so fast and with the stock stuff in the game already, hate it.Neuromancer said:Well I can't defend them if the car models are already there, that kind of sucks. Only MC, I know because that question has been asked on the official forum. Might be possible on the PC if someone makes a mod.Steve McQueen said:The Monte Carlo DLC seems to includes a new Foggy weather option.
Sorry if asked before...But is this foggy weather option available for all tracks...or only for MC?
op_ivy said:its actually 10 for monte carlo alone. the car pack is additional =)
and there are a fair number of us doing time trials, why dont you fire up the pc version for that?

i can post more if anyone would like to see the higher elevation, narrow cliffside stuff, or icy roads.

I'm debating on spending the points I have on this or waiting for something else.
-bakalhau- said:I only have 800 points and I wanted to spend them on stuff I know it's really worth it. If they're gonna give me 1 track with one variation like in those track layouts posted in previous pages, well they can go rip someone else off. I'm low on money and I'd rather spend the 800 on a Gears Of War 3 map pack or something that I know I'll spend much more time on. I think they'd seriously make more profit by pricing it at 400.
Edit: I don't see the DLC up on the GFWL Marketplace yet.
It's worth $10. It's some of the best tracks in the game. I mean look at this man. Beautiful.drewbian said:Man, so much back and forth on the new DLC. I bought the previous car back without hesitation, but I just can't pull the trigger on this one. I want to race those Monte Carlo tracks so bad, but $10 is a fairly steep asking price.
Okay, somebody convince me its worth $10 because I really want it.
My biggest gamer dream is to see the return of that series. *cry* *cry* *cry*Duallusion said:Anyone remember Rally Championship 2000? The demo track alone was about 12 to 15 minutes long, if I remember correctly - played that non-stop. Ah, the glorious days of cheap games development..
Whilst the cars were done before submission because we had to go through licensing for them all, there is no such legal nightmare surrounding the tracks. Monte Carlo was worked on after the main game was finished (submission date not launch date), and was nowhere near ready to go when the game actually hit the store shelves.

The problem is, the retail game as released didn't have enough content and what content it had was too short. Charging ten dollars more for content that should have been in the game in the first place is what is wrong.
Oh that would be amazing.mik said:I would love them to bring back the Pike's Peak Hillclimb events from Dirt 1 as DLC.

That's DLC I would buy in a heartbeat!mik said:I would love them to bring back the Pike's Peak Hillclimb events from Dirt 1 as DLC.
I've pre-ordered on Steam (cuz I do love the previous Codemasters racing games, even Dirt 2) and I agree with jlevel13. I fell disrespected by Codemasters.op_ivy said:oh please.
did you not research the contents of the game before you purchased?

That's too bad. The track looks gorgeous and I almost talked myself into buying it, but alas, I'll wait for a good sale myself.Duallusion said:Monte Carlo pack is nice and all (track is great) but way too expensive for what it is. I don't do time trials so a couple of new events in Dirt Tour is all I'll really get from it. I was hoping Monte Carlo will get its own section in multiplayer, so I could at least grind from 30 to level 35, but it doesn't.
I'm sorry I've bought it:/

You can always host a jam session and just run those tracks.Duallusion said:Monte Carlo pack is nice and all (track is great) but way too expensive for what it is.
