I was so surprised that I laughed my ass off for a sec. These kids are blade running. Though I guess it was to be expected on Halloween. Some people go to great lengths to be as edgy as possible or to shock the shit out of people. Looks like they have bitten off more than they can chew though because I'm pretty sure they're about to learn what happens when offensive dumbassery goes viral.

Somehow this really doesn't bother me at all. I can see how people can be offended, but at the same time, if some of my friends went for a costume like that, I would probably see it more as a sarcastic statement on the whole situation. In fact, you could actually argue that, since it is a halloween costume (which is traditionally supposed to be scary), they are right on the money. What happened was scary in so many ways, and for different reasons to different people.

It is not about the fact that Martin is dead but about the disgusting circumstances surrounding it. Not really sure how can you think those situations are similar.

Ok. I would like to apologize about the whole Steve Irwin comparison. To me..Halloween is Halloween. I see this every year at my bar. And I've actually seen worse so its no biggie to me one way or another.

This thread seriously ... you have absolutely no right to not be offended. This group is not going out and hurting anyone or anything by wearing a costume like this. First Amendment etc etc. But if they want to wear stupid clothes to a stupid holiday they are more than entitled to. If they want to offend people around them, that is their American god damn given right to do that.

These are not some red neck pieces of shit who firmly believe shooting black kids is ok. These are not some racist black hating scumbags spreading propaganda against multiculturalism. They are crudely mocking society and the issues that lead to this incident, they are using shock humor to make a costume. It's hardly the first time this has happened and it won't be the last. Someone wearing a shirt saying "Trayvon Martin did the right thing shooting a black kid" would be a shit ton worst than these stupid costumes. At least these kids have shown a basic understanding of the instance occurring, enough at least to make a crude joke costume out of it.
