I just saw that Famitsu gave RE6 a 39/40.... WOWWOWOWO LLMAOADFOIAF ADFj hhaahhaahahhha
So it's either as good as DMC3 or worse than RE6?

People on the internets are saying that the Famitsu review has an image of DMC1 Dante costume.
AAAWWW YYYYEEEAA!!!!
Full score is 9898.

Ohh you guys liked Souls? W-w-we did too, see!And Demon's Souls got 29/40. And then Dark Souls got 37/10, lolz.
Famitsu reviews mean diddly.
No offense to the guy that is doing the OT, but that bullshit of people claiming to do an OT a year in advance needs to stop.

Why? What's so wrong about claiming an OT a year in advance or when the game is announced?
Famitsu is very different these days. When DMC3 came out, they only took wire and transfers via the local Japanese clearing system (called Zengin). Now they take regular checks. It is much easier to bribe.
This is all true so don't bother arguing.
Its still having the forsight to do that which is important.
Ninja theories motion capture tech is subcontracted as well.
Who's the crew working on DmC?
Speaking of cutscenes, did anyone ever respond about them being unskippable? Is it a loading issue like Max Payne 3? Lack of Bloody Palace and unskippable cutscenes would put a major dent in this game's replayability, especially if it's as short as people say it is.

Any confirmation on the old costume?
Rumor floating around that Famitsu has a DMC1 costume pic in their review. We will know about that soon enough. There are at least a couple of Dante costumes where he has white hair though.Any confirmation on the old costume?
What's an AR? Aerial rave?Did Vergil have an AR? Plz tell me that's in the DLC. lol. I want to spam that shit and spiral swords.

JPN music video from the band ONE OK ROCK (with some decent new footage)

This seems to be in the vein of the L'arc En Ciel music video from DMC4.
It's almost exactly what I expected. I posted in a previous thread that I expected on average the game to get in the upper 80s (very close to 90 but not quite 90). Right now the average is probably the highest it will ever be and even the generous reviews haven't given it over a 9 so it breaking that average barrier is unlikely. So whats everyone's take on the somewhat good review scores so far?
Oh no. The only thing we know about Vergil is that he has Yamato, Summoned Swords with Dark Slayer and Doppelganger styles (presumably mapped to L2/R2). Any other weapon is not confirmed for him yet.AR 15. Call of Duty shit. lulz.
So basically when the Demon Souls formula became popular they changed their opinion? And Demon's Souls got 29/40. And then Dark Souls got 37/40, lolz.

Style Ranking System
This is the meat and potatoes of what your score is based on. If you have a bad
style rank, no matter how high your multipliers are, you're going to have a
difficult time achieving a high mission ranking since there isn't much for
the score to multiply.
The ranking system goes in a letter grading system as follows:
D -> C -> B -> A -> S -> SS -> SSS
As the core of the DMC series, through each version, each letter stood for
some cheesy word relating to how stylish your doing. To progress through the
ranking properly, you are required to use AT LEAST 3 different attacks. For
example if you use the following attack sequence:
Streak, Buster, Buster
You will get a hidden style rank for the streak, then once the Buster is
executed, you will receive your D ranking. However, for the second Buster
attack, you WILL get style points, however, the style guage will not increase,
which is essential to getting to the next letter grade.
Base attacks without a multiplier ends up being about 1-3 style points a hit.
Once you get each letter rank, your attacks get multiplied by whatever rank you
are currently on. IE (Theoretical Values) if a Buster without a multiplier
would be worth 3 points, at rank A that would increase to about 60 or so, and
at SSS that could be worth as much as 300. So getting your letter rank up
as fast as possible is essential to getting a high Style Rating.
The Damage you deal with each attack also affects how much the guage is
increased. For example, if you use a Max Revved Streak on multiple mobs,
you are likely to get up to 2 ranks for this one attack. Using higher class
attacks and charge up attacks (Both with Dante and Nero) are a big part of
getting a high ranking fast.
Last thing is reflected or enemy based damage. Damage caused from an enemy, to
an enemy by direct influence by you, will net you a LOT of ranking as well.
This is commonly seen with demons such as the flying swords, or the cannon
hounds, if you chuck them or shoot them at other mobs, you will get a
sizeable chunk of your guage filled. More prominently is the reflected Black
Angelo Orb (unique I know) attack. Doing this nets you SSS instantly because
it takes into account Enemy Damage, Multiple Enemies hit, and High Damage Dealt
all at the same time.
You may have noticed this as you play, but the only way that you can rank down
by letter is if you get hit. Each HIT drops you down 2 Letter ranks, IE from A
to C, or from SSS to S, or from C to no rank. You may notice that your guage
decreases as you don't attack, and after a while the rank dissapears. FEAR NOT!
Your rank is still where it should be, even if it dissapears as long as you
don't get hit. However, your rank guage will be empty.
NOTE: Keep in mind that losing your rank is PER HIT! So any demon that
executes a multiple attack sequence such as an Assault's Seed Barrage or
a Chimera's annoying Tentacle Wave will put you down 2 ranks per HIT. So
it is possible to go from SSS to nothing if you get hit multiple times
by the same attack. It is Important to dodge or avoid these attacks
if at all possible.
A few final words on the style system. The points you receive are cumulative
throughout the mission, so you cannot lose points (not sure about death, will
find out once I rank grind later).
With that said, couldn't remember how the grading system worked in previous games, so I dug up DMC4 (didn't find HD collection around the office) and checked, and it seems to me that it's similar, so I'm a bit confused: aside from Arbiter needing a good nerfing power and grades-wise IMHO, what's the huge difference?
Is that correct? Cause it seems to me that DmC system orks exactly like this, Arbiter's power being the only variable.
[ITA]Wolfgang;46232264 said:In DmC there are three separate levels for S, SS and SSS, while previously they were part of the same gauge.
So if you reach SSS and you do nothing or spam the same move, in DmC you keep being at SSS as long as you are not hit.
In DMC4 instead you would drop down to S.
doesn't the post above you say the opposite re DMC4?
I'm calling the rights to MGS9 OT.
It's just BS that it's obscurely claimed by some random dude in a sub-forum no one ever goes to, while the people that actually discuss the game are screwed. And this particular OT creator didn't even get the release date right.
Or maybe I'm just pissy because I wanted to do the Metal Gear Rising OT and some guy that has never posted in a Metal Gear Rising thread claimed it ages ago.
May be incorrect, that's why I checked. It's just the first indepth guide on DMC4 grading system I found.
[ITA]Wolfgang;46233140 said:It would be correct if it considered the fact that S/SS/SSS are part of the same gauge in DMC4.
I'm gonna be fucking pissed if we have to pay for bloody palace.
That said, I wanted to get this day one, had money set aside for it, but i'm buying re6 (lol yeah) instead with half of the $60, and waiting for this to drop to 30$ before I grab it.
Capcom is pleased to confirm that the highly popular Bloody Palace Mode will be returning in DmC Devil May Cry.
