Concept art Nero and Dante DT are godlike. So sad they didn't make it into the full game:
Damn those are amazing.
As I said I enjoyed the final version, but I can't help but feel jipped over not getting these.

Yes. I agree. Too bad he wasn't so useful at around the end of the game. But the best game with Dante in it ever made had DMC 2 Dante.

I'm really close to pre-ordering this on Steam since I have $150 in my Steam Wallet from Christmas gifts and I returned an (unopened) Zombi U in favor of more Steam cards.
There are no games outside of DmC I'm interested in coming out for the next month, so that preorder for a Devil May Cry "Complete" pack for $59 that includes Devil May Cry 3 SE and Devil May Cry 4 seems pretty tempting. I beat Devil May Cry 4 on 360 but never played 3. I know that initially the port was considered bad and pretty demanding when it came out five years ago but I have a pretty monster PC with an overclocked Radeon 7970, so I'm guessing this may not be a problem.
It's in my shopping cart as we speak and I'm debating it. Basically I am pretty sure I want the base game as I loved Enslaved (one of my favorite games this generation) and I liked the previous Devil May Cry games I played, so this seems like a good match for me. I'm definitely not one of the hard core players who like to upload videos of SSS combos, so complaints about the game being "dumbed down" fall on completely deaf ears for me.
Basically, I guess I'm wondering if Devil May Cry 3 SE and Devil May Cry 4 on PC are worth the extra $10. I already beat 4 and I'm not sure I'd go back and play it (but I might). It would be nice to have something to play to tide me over until the game is released in a couple of weeks though.
DMC4 is gorgeous on PC and alone is worth $10. DMC3 is a clusterfuck on PC and you'll have to work to get it running correctly, even on a monster PC.

Yeah, there is absolutely no reason to get DMC 3 on PC. Wasn't it outsourced to Ubisoft or something?

Is this game going up for sale on PSN?
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/11/20/dmc-devil-may-cry-demo-dlc-detailed/
Yes, but Sony lied or Capcom backtracked about extending the vergil dlc to psn pre-orders.
For the United States and Canada the Vergil content is free if you pre-order at Gamestop/Eb games. But in Europe, it's free if you download the game via PSN.
DmC is as good, if not better than any Devil May Cry title before it. With a hard-hitting story, creative, engaging combat, and overwhelming energy, DmC is kicking off 2013 in rip-roaring, high-octane fashion.
For what it's worth, a 9/10 from the The Sun (UK newspaper)

Hrm. I liked Devil May Cry 4 quite a bit but I played the hell out of it already even going back to S rank all the levels. That was a about three or four years ago, but I'm not generally one to go back and play games once I beat them. Are there any extra for the PC release of it that might make it worthwhile to revisit?
I definitely prefer the DMC1 and DMC4 designs.Guess I'm the only one who didn't like DMC2 Dante's design. His Diesel outfit was infinitely better.

That is mind shatteringly poorly written
So that's really a 6 (if you remove the automatic +2 for British dev).

Its a recoloring of the main character from 'The Crow'
But you can think its some sort of personal attack by the director if you want

Do you really believe that bullshit?
Name all these British games they have given inflated scores to.

*Tameem makes claim that original Dante isn't cool anymore.*
*Chooses alt costume based on cheesy 90s bullshit.*
I don't know if I buy that it's based on The Crow. (I'm not arguing it's based on Tameem's personal style, either.)
Although I don't know why I'd take Tameem's original claim at face value.
Isn't Edge the magazine that's relatively strict with their scores?
Are there any impressions/reviews out there for the PC version? I'm really curious about its visual and performance differences from the PS3 version.
End of console cycle. Devs are making good games.Edge use the 7-10 range a lot more these days.
