Oh bugger off. I've enjoyed countless hours playing campaign splitscreen, and a decent amount of competitive MP too. Since Halo CE the series has defined local co-op for me. I've never had more fun with video games.
To me, a huge part of Halo is local co-op. I guess it's easy to be dismissive when you're not personally affected by a major feature cut.
Split screen being gone from MP is all good as far as I am concerned, I have had nothin but bad times due to it.
Yes, Halo is all about co-op. If you go back and read my post, you'll note that's exactly what I said.So you think Halo is all about being able to play Co-op? Well good for you I guess? That does not make Halo, Halo. Of course its very definition is different to everyone, but saying that people forgot what makes a Halo, Halo, as the other poster stated, is just BS. Where does that leave things that actually matter? Like gameplay? Because the gameplay in 5 is the best it has been since Halo 2.
I will say I didn't enjoy having some dude with two guests quit in the middle of a match.Split screen being gone from MP is all good as far as I am concerned, I have had nothin but bad times due to it.

Man the fanboys are out in spades today. Halo was built on splitscreen and without it, it's a really bad thing. So you think Halo is all about being able to play Co-op? Well good for you I guess? I am hopeful on Halo 5 but i am also skeptical. It will have to be one of the best halo games to hit expectations and I am not convinced it will happen. I am hoping the community stays around for the multiplayer but they did disappear from Halo 4 quite fast.
I wish the videogame industry has "clear" data for weekly sales in regions & worldwide similar to the accuracy and transparency of the movie industry. So first question, what's your prediction on units moved in the first 24 hours? First month?
i always laugh when i read shit like this. it's 2015, not many people do split screen often these days. And honeslty split screen sucked, you viewed HALF THE SCREEN. It was only cool because no one was really on live and a majority of gamers were in their teens. It's not the case anymore. If it were, if it truly was that vital to the experience and it would piss off a majority of gamers they'd find a way to incorporate it. But of course you'll get that small niche of people being incredibly vocal and make it seem like people give a shit.Man the fanboys are out in spades today. .
People act like Halo 4 was some failure sales wise or something. It was the best Halo launch and the third best selling video game in NA in 2012. Best launch year for a MS Studios title too. Yes the population dwindled, but dont act like it wasn't still a juggernaut.
I still think bf4 is best shooter available this gen.
Amen to that! LOLNo guests in MP, 343 just doing God's work.
I'm curious how innovative it will be.
Sounds exactly like Halo 2 then.I think the hype is too big - and it'll never please everyone. I've heard *less than favourable* things about bits of the SP campaign, but I suspect the multiplayer will keep people happy for a good while.
I do wonder if Halo 5 will have a good and high player count in MP, didn't the last 2 games have very low player count in MP a few months after the games came out?
Oh yeah. What a horrific mess guests were. Like the poster above you mentioned - teamkills and other BS.No guests in MP, 343 just doing God's work.
Quote me on this: Battlefront is going to have a major impact on Halo 5's player base.
if it sells that much on NPD that would be an accomplishment considering it doesn't account for digital sales.
It's been confirmed. They cut it.Wait, so there is no split-screen at all in Halo 5? As a University student living with 3 people who I all game with on my Xbox that's disappointing if true.
Halo 3 sold 2,000,000 first day in the US.
What's the current world wide installment base for the X1? That plays a huge factor.
15 million?
Campaign is the only thing that can disappoint me at this point. I've played enough of the beta to not worry about multiplayer.

Master Chief is really Bonnie Ross!
"Can Bonnie Ross build a video game cool enough to save the Xbox?" Nice Headline haha.
Can the Woman Behind Halo 5 Save the Xbox?
Dunno if we need another Halo Thread, so i'll leave this here.
