Look at the scene at 0:32 in the UK trailer - that's clearly the back of a silence's head- compare its shape to this image:

The bone meadows must have happened between the pandorica opens and the time of angels from river's perspective (as it was mentioned in TTOA) - so her timeline is about to get a whole lot more confusing if that event is going to be explored this season. (Especially as it seemed before now that her timeline was going forward, as the angels take manhattan is the latest part of her timeline we've seen other than the library)

Looks very distorted/mutated. Maybe a "King of the Silence" type of character? Would make sense if the Doctor is terrified.

Could be - or some kind of origin story. The existence of the silence seems to be so inextricably linked to "the question" and the doctor's provenance that I'm willing to bet he is responsible for "creating" them somehow.

Maybe he refuses to answer the question, his silence creates the Silence maybe?

This is exactly what I've been suspecting since the finale of season 6. It seems bizarre to me though that the silence have been missing for so long and are suddenly going to play a role again.

Hopefully they're never mentioned again - the end of that story was shambolic. Adulterated what had been up until then an excellent episode.

That was more a problem with the episode that the said race though. I thought they were interesting, even if badly introduced.

Looks like a giant geek fest... :D

Synopses of the first 4 episodes have been released.

The Bells of Saint John, written by Steven Moffat, directed by Colm McCarthy.

The Doctor’s search for Clara Oswald brings him to modern day London, where Wi-Fi is everywhere. Humanity lives in a Wi-Fi soup. But something dangerous is lurking in the signals, picking off minds and imprisoning them. As Clara becomes the target of this insidious menace, the Doctor races to save her and the world from an ancient enemy.

The Rings of Akhaten, written by Neil Cross, directed by Farren Blackburn.

Clara wants to see something awesome, so the Doctor whisks her off to the inhabited rings of the planet Akhaten, where the Festival of Offerings is in full swing. Clara meets the young Queen of Years as the pilgrims and natives ready for the ceremony. But something is stirring in the pyramid, and a sacrifice will be demanded.

Cold War, written by Mark Gatiss, directed by Douglas MacKinnon.

The Doctor and Clara land on a damaged Russian Submarine in 1983 as it spirals out of control into the ocean depths. An alien creature is loose on board, having escaped from a block of Arctic ice. With tempers flaring and a cargo of nuclear weapons on board, it’s not just the crew but the whole of humanity at stake!

Hide, written by Neil Cross, directed by Jamie Payne.

Clara and the Doctor arrive at Caliburn House, a haunted mansion sat alone on a desolate moor. Within its walls, a ghost hunting Professor and a gifted psychic are searching for the Witch of the Well. Her apparition appears throughout the history of the building, but is she really a ghost? And what is chasing her?

Oh man, this sounds like such classic Who

Odly enough that scene didn't do a whole lot for me. I'm not the biggest fan of the episode as a whole though.

I've been watching the latest Christmas sspecial again.

Moffat was definitely reading Game of Thrones when he was writing the script.

An amazing episode, that one.

The denouement is excellent and probably one of the best they've done - but the bulk of the episode is pretty flabby with regards to pacing and storytelling (up until the death of the krafayis I'd posit that it's a pretty horrible episode actually). I suppose a fantastic ending is all anyone remembers. Conversely - The Angels Take Manhattan is packed full of interesting ideas, setpieces and dialogue, but a questionable ending ruins it for most - it's interesting how it works.

Australian scheduling posted?

The Bells of Saint John will make its Australian debut on Easter Sunday, 31 March 2013, at 7.30pm on ABC1.

This will be just hours after the UK premiere on March 30, and is the swiftest fast-tracking ABC has ever provided fans on terrestrial television.

That episode stayed with me for days after I've seen it...very special..

But I can't believe they used up Bill Nighy for such a small role...

People are going to flip if they don't get their Big Ben/Dalek episode. I would personally like the Silence. Maybe both.
