AwesomeBtw, for those of you who didn't know, you can change your default steam cover for this game and put on the alternate version. Right click it in your steam library and click "set custom image" and upload this:

I have a 770 and an i5-2500K, am I better of getting this on PS4?
Specs?
Huh..I wonder if my cpu isn't using all cores. I'm getting a solid 60fps with vsync on, but maybe I can push my 970 to 1440p DSR with this.
What does this do? The game should be using all cores already...
So I have a r9290 and a amd processor how all ready dead am I?
Also does this game not support pads on pc. Im on a couch before you say...
Thanks also youre already rsi...![]()
Yes it supports pads. I'm on a couch too but I use M/KB anyways...
Nope. You'll definitely be able to play it at higher settings than the PS4 version. And you'll have m+kb as well.

Edit- those enemy models don't look very high resolution, very blurry compared to the rest of the scene.
Looks like motion blur.
Will you be upgrading your GPU any time in the near future? I think if you don't care about mouse and keyboard I'd say PS4, running @ 60fps on consoles definitely makes it good alternative for those with an older PC.

if your 2500K is OC'd, then the issue here would be your GPU, I'm having a hard time with my 780 GHz Edition with a mix of ultra and high...
Jesus Christ where do I change the framerate cap?
So what are the most expensive settings? I can run the game at a steady 60fps on ultra but as soon as I'm in a room with a Gore Nest or other heavy volumetric effects then the framerate drops to exactly 30.
Just wondering what I should disable first.
Is anyone else noticing that Doom doesn't track your game activity on Steam?
It's a minor problem and hope that ID patches it.
The app still has the section_type = ownersonly flag applied, which limits the public display of community activity.
Bethesda may be playing dumb so SteamSpy can't scrape together ownership data, but Valve will eventually remove the flag if need be. There was a similar problem with AssCreed Syndicate.
So here's something annoying. Whenever the FPS drops below 60 at all, it gets capped at 30 until it can hold 60 again. There's no in between. Any fix for this? Normal vsync is on, screen tearing is never worth it.

Here is the image I'll be using for Steam.

definitely shadows. second thing is probably reflections.

Adding -UseAllAvailableCores -sm4 to my launch options pushed me to a solid 120fps.
Seems like a bug, because You are fully CPU limited. Can anyone explain to me why the FPS drop like a rock here? what I'm I looking at that is so taxing, going from 30 to 60fps every few seconds in the previous fight in this place fucked me really bad, any tips to get locked 60fps are really appreciated, not even medium settings could get me to raise the FPS count in this particular spot.
i5 2500K @4.2GHz
780 factory OC'd to 1071mhz
16GB RAM
128GB Crucial SSD

I doubt it, a lot of games near release still have the flag for a bit before the pub remembers to remove the flag.
Hell, Dead Rising 2 steamworks had the flag on it for like 6 months before someone over at capcom said "oh fuck we forgot that" and turned community features on.

Playing in default High Setting.
Do the motion blur settings (low to high) affect the amount or the quality?
I have had similar issues with my 780Ti and been looking for a cause for a while now. At first I thought it was Vsync, then the Virtual Texture Page File or whatever it's called. Today I got 30 fps locked after dying with Vsync off and the Virtual Texture stuff set to high. Only a restart of the game fixed it.
I also have a 2500k btw.

Small update: I've PM'd gstaff about this. Hopefully the flag is removed soon.
