Spirit Breaker hard to use? Who is a pretty ismple initiator to pick up?

Spiritbreaker is pretty easy to use, pretty pubstompy. Requires some map awareness to make sure your gank won't go bad when you charge. Try to charge in angles where you think there aren't wards, but you shouldn't have to worry about that if you're new. He has the highest EHP at level one so it is very hard to kill him. He has one of the highest base damage in the game and has an easy to use last hit animation, I'd recommend him to noobs for sure.

imo the simplest initiator is centaur. He's not the best initiator but he's got essentially a built in initiation tool in his ult, is beefy as fuck and his hoof stomp is good enough.

Tidehunter is the other initiator I'd recommend for noobs. He's more of an initiator than centaur is but isn't really that much fun imo. Blink Dagger is needed for proper imitation.

Undying is oodles of fun. Stay away from Enigma or Puck until you have experience under your belt. SK can be hard to pull off a perfect burrowstrike and ult on.

I don't know about soloing a sidelane with Luna especially against those two.

The problem is my team didn't really care about that.

I just had a game where my team made us lose to a 3 man -,-

We had a phantom assassin that would initiate all three at once on her own, them being many lvls higher, and just dying. I was sniper, who I seem to be cursed as, since it was my 8th loss as him. No one on my team could grasp the idea that their pudge was so farmed if we tried to initiate outside our base with our towers we'd probably just drop :/

PA had 18 deaths...

I really wanna try puck, I saw him used in a couple pro games/top play videos and seems insane when played well. I just hate doing bot matches :L

I thought puck was easy to learn with but I always see her listed as someone to stay away from.

I struggled with most strength and melee characters at first. I think starting out and having a range based character with minimal skills is the route to go.

You didn't answer how to farm man. Or just go full gankman.

"how to farm" is a really weird question. You just last hit anything and everything while always lookin out for kills.

Also puck is definitely not easy to learn with. He's probably the most timing/precision/reflex dependent hero in the game and you need very good decision making skills to play him well.

Never played WC3 dota (warcraft 3?) and as stated, all ive been playing is vs bots since i got the dota2 invite (which was... 2 months ago?). this was my first dota2 match playing online against real peeps. I'm very green to online dota2 so I wanted some opinions on how I play sniper and what I did great/horrid.

edit: i see u posted. hold up a moment let me read...

I actually thought my positioning was decent but i did wonder why windrunner didn't try to stun me often. I see I need to be more careful. and what u mean autoattack lol ?

wanted to build manta style quickly but my priorities always seem to change as game goes on..... I wanted to get back quickly and I thought it was best coa at the time.

I am new so I have no idea what you're trying to say here lol.

A lot of times I somehow didn't even notice the witch doctor. tis a problem of mine, i tend to not see peeps at times.

and here i thought viper carried the team lol. I'll need to rewatch the replay again later. thanks for your words.

-By autoattack I mean letting the hero select its own targe. But I think now Autoattack is off by default. Even then, there were times you were hiting creeps that were half HP for no reason, try to not do that unless they are way too close to your tower. A lot of the time in the early mid you were close to the enemy tower, enemis could gank you from behind and it would be a long way back to a safer position.

-Try to get the boots first, extra movement speed do wonders for avoiding ganks, and moving to other lanes faster.

-Well I made that annotation when I saw you getting 2 Hyperstones, but you turned one into a hammer so that's ok.

-There were 2 big teamfights in the enemy base where he just destroyed some of your allies because noone could stop him.

-That Bristle had like 200 wins, compared with teh average of 10 wins for everyone. He really did good, bought wards and a abysal blade, so he had a counter for some of the enemies.

ive honed my timing, precision and reflexes in the pits of leeg

im ready

What's so hard about puck

fragile, requires good positioning, some twitch skills that involve knowledge of other heroes (you wouldn't want to phase shift a qop's auto attack, but you'd want to phase shift her dagger) and a skillshot that requires some practice to get a good feel for it's speed.

Lots of fun though.

In Sentinel's search for heroes to aid them in the war against the Scourge, they discovered the lost lands of the mystical Faerie Dragons. Upon explaining the conflict to the Faerie Queen of Agrace, she sent forth Puck, a personal guardian, to turn the tides of war. Despite his small size and mischievous personality, the little dragon soon proved to pack more than his fair share of power on the battlefield, blasting through the enemy ranks with balls of magic, faerie dust, and the capability to stupefy an entire army with nothing more than his imagination. His foes all learned the hard way that size matters not in combat, and that appearances are, ultimately, deceiving.

Puck is my waifu. Also, I think mechanically Puck isn't too bad to play, I consider myself to be a pretty average player and I still have a ton of fun playing Puck. Definitely requires good decision making. Still, feels like one of the heroes that I can see myself actively getting better at with each game.

Uh so every time I boot up DOTA now it crashes and I get this error message:

The exception Breakpoint
a breakpoint has been reached.
(0x80000003) occurred in the application at 0x604af2a0

Any idea..?

You know what the worst kind of game is? It's not a stomp, it's the kind that takes 55 minutes with the other team comfortably in the lead in kills and gold and taking every team fight but just not being committed/organized enough to end it,

and I just had two of those games in a row :/

Oh, bitch bitch bitch.
wtf?

isn't puck a boy?

No. Puck was originally referred to as a she and then switched to an it, like Morph and Wisp, in Dota 2. But since the voice actor is female I just refer to Puck as a girl because calling things it is weird.
