Any good websites for a guide besides what's in the op? Just started playing this and it seems my team is not doing well and I'm not sure if I'm approaching this game right. It seems that if one side gains any ground or any levels higher, the game is pretty much over. These are things I've just noticed from my couple hours of playing and just curious if this is the average.

I also queued for a match and it took 30 seconds to get into a game. Only thing from LoL I wish this game had.

Carry Puck is clearly a thing.
Was probably my best game ever as puck. Only bought Deso and Dagon after we where rolling the team.
Was far ahead in kills most of the game until the last 5 minutes when Sven was fed.
Felt really good.

I hate when a game is pretty much lost from the start, with your Enigma dying 10 times in a row, but I hate how it takes 20+ minutes from that point to end.. especially when the other team decides they want a rapier before they finish..

I have Civ 5: BNW (+1 extra copy) so I'm down.
I use to hate Civ 5 when it was released but after playing with G&K, its a much much better game. People don't remember that Civ4 sucked shit when it came out too (Firaxis didn't do regression testing so initial release was buggy as shit). BNW will probably push it over Civ4: BTS.

The ai still sucked shit when I last played it a few months ago with a friend.
I mean gal civ 2 is the best civ game of all time anyways.

G&K is definitely a huge improvement over Vanilla. Not sure about BNW (1. It's not out yet. 2. I won't be buying it anyway until it's $10 or less)
I like Gal Civ 2, but it's flawed. Gal Civ 3 would really hit the spot though.
They still can't keep up with humans on equal footing, but that's been true of every single game in the series.

The problem with the ADL is it has C-tier casters, and the quality of the teams wildly varies from T1/T2 to essentially pubstars.
yah u should get the first civ 5 expansion then u can play with me, haly, chair, and tomat (maybe alumnus will come back lol). i need to get my moneys worth out of that expac goddamit
anyone else that has civ 5 can play too, anyone from dotagaf that wants to join dota civ5 crew make sure to buy it during the steam sale i will be hosting many glorious games

Also - ADL is on when I typically want to spend time actually playing Dota. Other tourneys being based in Euro/Asian timezones, I can turn on a stream and watch while doing whatever else.

Somebody at Leddit was able to pick Abaddon in a match. That plus the recent blog title being one of his responses means he is guaranteed to come next week.
Also, the monthly userbase jumped ~50,000 in one day (from 3.61 million to 3.66 million)
ALSO, Civ 5 and Civ 4 both do things good and bad and I wish there was a perfect game that combined positives from both.

I lost my shit for the first time in 600 hours.
prophet (me) + lycan + timber (good player)+ sandking + io
vs
slardar + dk + bane + omni + bristle
Jungled + ganked 4 times in lane before lvl 8 and before 25 mins we had 5 of their towers down.
Every ... single.. teamfight the lycan tunnelvisions the baiting bristle, or if he's not around he goes for dk or omni.
In no time it was 35-20 for the other team, timber is the only one trying to kill bane... but ofc he has no interupts.
Me and timber asked about 50 times to please focus bane and not the tanks... over and over.
56 minutes of hell as you watch things snowball, and it only lasted that long because of all the splitpush forcing them to tele back over and over after a teamfight was lost by us.
Timber even bought BTs to try n help me backdoor their base and we got it down to the last t4 tower.
So much effort, all for absolutely nothing.
No enjoyment either as you watch the trainwreck in agonising slowmotion.
I went sheepstick to stop the bane which meant I didn't have the damage to outdps backdoor protection or right click bane down in time...
It really is true what people said in this thread, if you don't play a high impact role who can singlehandedly carry the game then you are at the mercy of everyone else.

In pubs, stick with the guy that can kill people quick. Like Ursa, Tiny, Chaos Knight, Sven etc. Most of the benefit of the tether movement speed and stun.
If you feel too weak (as you should since it is IO), you can try getting a Sange.
