There are chapters where it only happens once every few pages, but this chapter had pages with 5 words I either never heard before or not a 100% sure about

GoT is alright I think, I'm not a native english speaker and I manage it. Some words I skip because they're some medieval clothing shit so I don't bother too much tbh
That's exactly it.
I can read the book just fine without ever using a dictionary, but then I'm lost on all the nuances and descriptions.

Game of thrones really isn't that bad as far as the genre goes. Pretty middle of the pack in terms of difficulty. I imagine the genre on the whole isn't terribly kind to nonnative speakers though

Currently reading LOTR in english and it's much more confusing tbh, even the dictionary doesn't help sometimes (I had to wikipedia what the barrow downs were, or even barrow wights, the dictionary entry only referred wheelbarrows <_<)

Reading Way of Kings by Sanderson at the moment and find its language very easy to comprehend. MD might want to try that if he's into the genre. WOK is also insanely good.

A new patch doesn't really need to be good in itself, as in 'I want this meta forever'. The novelty itself is good, and the first month of a patch still have people experimenting etc.... then it's back to people making the same pick they see in pro game, or picking high winrate on dotabuff.

Came across GuruPathik's channel the other day. I'm not sure if there's anyone here that's still struggling with the game like I am but he's really good at explaining stuff (especially in the 1v1 stuff that I just finished watching).

last time he was strong he was strong in pubs, too. And the time before that he was straight broken in pubs. Natural order let you duel literally anyone in the game until they got real damage items, and if you snowballed and picked up an early AC or similar, you could transition in to an easy win pretty reliably.
those were the days, when the 0-4-4-0 build emerged and astral spirit did 1 million damage.
